@@TheEnthusiasticGardener I do have a sunny spot on one side of my garage but the ground is terribly uneven and it would have to be a bit narrower than yours. Thank you. I cant wait to see where you plant all your greenhouse goodies.
I’ve just come across this as am thinking of purchasing the same greenhouse so googled and your video popped up. It was really so helpful to see the trials and tribulations you had of putting it up. Shocking that the doors needed so much adjustment though! Can I check, were the lips on the roof something you and Richard added? I presume they were not supplied? Could also also possibly provide a link to the adjustable feet you used and would it be possible to do an an update video so how you find the greenhouse and if you’d recommend it after a couple of years? Sadly I don’t have such a handy husband so am having to think hard as to whether to purchase. A now subscribing! Many thanks!
Hello there India and thanks so much for subscribing, it’s so lovely to have a new gardening friend. I must say I think the problem we had with the doors was due to the fact we had unboxed and stored all the wood in our garage for a few weeks, deep in the coldness of winter, and as you know wood expands and contracts in cold weather, so as you would have yours in summertime I don’t think you would have that problem. The lips on the roof all came with the greenhouse so we didn’t have to buy anything extra. The only extra thing we bought was wood to make a slatted floor (I can’t remember if Richard did that in this video or in a follow up video. Unfortunately I can’t remember which feet he bought to raise it off the ground but I am sure he bought them from as this was a few years ago now, but it would have been from B&Q (our local hardware store over here). I have done a few follow up videos since then already if you have a search through my channel. I’m still really pleased with it and would still recommend if you don’t have much space, but I must admit I’m feeling a bit bad about mine because I’m not using it as much as I had thought, I do use it late winter/early spring for seeds etc but it’s not getting used much the rest of the year as I can plant things straight outside. But, if you’re really good at greenhouse things I’m sure you will put it to really good use. I love mine, it looks pretty too. Painting it was a chore though and you don’t have to do that. Do let me know if you get one! ♥️
Your hubby is fantastic! Just about get mine to put a picture up & even then it’s usually too low/high 😂 greenhouse is super, can’t wait to see it over the next months.

Feel free to come over and found out about me. Love meeting new gardeners. Loved this video.
Hello and thank you so much for coming over 😊😊 I have not made my video yet but do you know what, you have inspired me to get on and do it, so thank you for that. Hi Janet and Richard, hope you are both keeping well and gearing up for winter. A question for Richard, when you ripped down the doors to fit, I noticed you didn’t remove any screws or staples, did that not leave the door unstable?, to be honest, I didn’t have the equipment to do the same as you did and think it’s a pretty poor design in the first place that you have to go to those lengths to make them fit, I had a friend of mine to help me and found the staples a nightmare to remove, it took us a while but got there in the end!!! Cheers.
Oh yes I completely agree with you. We had stored all our wood in the garage for a while before we started so I wonder if we had done this in the summertime the doors might have fit better, I know wood swells in the heat and/or cold so I don’t know if that made a difference. He just sliced right through the screws didn’t he but the doors are still sturdy enough. I do love my greenhouse, in an ideal world I would have liked something bigger but we just didn’t have the room. It’s more of a decorative greenhouse really isn’t it, more a cold frame really, but I’m still very happy with it. I could never have done it all on my own, so I take my hat off to you for doing it, well done, it was a lot of hard work. I hope you enjoy yours 🥰
Thinking about getting one of these but my only concern is the workmanship of the doors . On 12 minutes you can see the top of the door joint all chipped and not finished very well . Is the rest of the greenhouse like that
Hi Lesley and thanks for your message. I love my little greenhouse and have been so pleased with it. Now had it for over 3 years. But I would say it’s more of a coldframe really and it’s not airtight, as you noticed there are some small gaps at the top of the doors, and in the roof sections that can open and close. I don’t think you could use it for overwintering any tender plants, but it’s good for spring snd summer and I have successfully sown seedlings in mine. I haven’t regretted buying it. Bit of a process putting it all together I must say. I hope that helps 😊

Hi there Kate and thank you for watching. I’ve had my geeenhouse now for about 3 years and really love it.
