Was looking into buying a premade one, then decided to not do so, most is chinese stuff which cant even handle a little breeze. Cheap treated fencing poles will be my strategy, will give them an extra coating. Had the same in mind on design, but on where the lowest part of the roof is on yours will slope diagonally to the ground under a 45 angle. That sliding door is a charm, will steal that idea there
About 30 mins into this thing and you’ve def earned a subscriber, awesome build, no long intro, stupid narration, no fluff just straight to it! Thank you for your hard work sir !
I loved the video. I wished I have seen your video before I started to build my own. I am a beginner. I learned so much by just watching you. Thank you for your video.
I'm not sure most can comprehend the amount of knowledge and skill that were displayed in your video! Surely you drew this up prior to the build, right? You weren't just winging it, were you 🤪
Thx for posting this! Very detailed excellent work! This is exactly what I’d like to build, possibly 12x16 or 18 We’d like it to be a combo greenhouse/ sitting area. Cheers!
Great Green house. thanks for making the video. I am new to DIY and I have a question around the angle for the side panels. How much angle we have to put to get the angle? thanks in advance.
Can you tell me about the cap applied to the very top along the length and end of the panels to wrap the fascia? I think you are using metal, but I have been unable to find anything for this. Also, there may be a concern that excessive heat could cause the heated metal to warp or damage the polygal. But love your video and I'm building it, although it is a 10 x 12. Just finished framing and starting to apply the panels today. Let me know about what you used and where you sourced the cap. Thanks!
I just used drip edge flashing. Basic stuff from a big box store. You can see it more clearly in my video about the solar fans. (Closer to the end) ua-cam.com/video/6-iq74fqDBs/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Hi in the middle of a build like yours for my daughters , can i ask hight of the front vs back for slope, and roughly how much over hang. Im thinking of 7.5ft back 9ft front up to headers, 1ft over hang ? Love yours, great workmsnship. Cheers Paul
Mine is 7’ back wall, 9’ front wall. Slope ends up about 15 degrees I think. Overhang is about 1’. Now that I’m growing tomatoes in it, the back wall could be a little taller. The plants are getting close to the ceiling. Watch my other video about the vent fans and plant benches. Both are working great. Thanks for watching!
Can you tell me what you used in the ground for support? At first I saw what looked to be metal rods, then you had blocks with some type of bracket....
I have steel post brackets embedded in concrete on each corner and pre-cast concrete pier blocks with brackets on the sides. It's probably overkill, but I wanted some air space between the pressure treated 4x4 base and the ground. Let me know if you need more info.
@@nicelittlesaturday Just wanted to make sure.. This project has been on the to do list for some time and looking to start working on it soon. Actually, like you I just pulled apart a deck and wanted to reuse the wood.. Love the video and thank you for posting. Great job!
What is the exact makeup of the interior flooring? Gravel only? Pavers? and how high up on 4x4 base timbers does the flooring go? Is it airtight? Thanks in advance.
I loved this build. Imagine how much easier it would have been without cutting 2x6 into 2x4's . If dudebhad a framing gun. And acrown stapler or at least a 16 finish nailer. Painful watching all that siding go on with long assed screws. Sweet build though . Wait whats this air tiil he bustedbout?
Beautiful build. Clicked on it to try to build but new to woodworking and need dimensions and details. So frustrating trying to figure out without dialogue or plans.
Do you find having 2 barn doors is enough ventilation? Are you planning to add a fan? Where do you get polycarbonate sheets? You do nice work. Love the reclaimed wood. Some of the cuts showed your bravery😉
I may add a solar fan. Haven’t been through a summer with it yet though so I don’t know if it’s needed. Poly sheets are from a local plastics supplier. I appreciate your comments! Thanks.
Planning my own build. I like the way yours looks and would have liked to watch it. However I could only make it a few minutes of the ridiculous and repetitive music. Did you think about a person watching the entire video with the sound on?
You're not completely wrong. A few of the tracks run a little long. Fortunately, UA-cam provides a mute button. But here's a little secret... mute the audio and instead play "The Boys are Back in Town" by Thin Lizzy *on repeat* . The song and video synch up perfectly for the *entire 1 hour and 28 minutes!* It's really cool. Try it.
*Questions? Ask in the comments. Thanks for watching.*
What's the cost on something like this?
@@ryanalexander1507 There's a full breakdown in the description. Thanks for watching!

Very impressive! This female watched every details of your video to the end. I wished I could build one like this 😇
You can. Women can do anything.

Great video and craftmanship! Love the details.

Thanks for the kind words. I sketched it out so I’d know what size polycarbonate panels to order. There was a little bit of “winging it” though.
wow, great video and a very very nice greenhouse. thx for sharing and regards from germany
Thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated.
Great video, watched the whole video. Love how people can build beautiful things ❤
Thank you so much
Very nice, great job! You made recycled look classy and fit your landscape style.

I don’t have plans. Kind of made it up as I went. There’s a few details in the description. Thanks for watching and good luck with your build.

Can you provide how many sqft)size) of panels required for this.
What is your Slope? Great design and method. Thanks!
The roof slope is 15 degrees (pretty sure). Thanks for watching!
Beautiful job well done!🤩👏👏What's the degree angle of roof??
15 degrees. Thanks for watching!
???Question??? What color is the wood stain? It is a lovely color. Great job! The greenhouse is awesome!!
Behr solid color waterproofing wood stain. Slate color.

Where did you purchase your poly panels and tracks? What name brand are they? Thanks great Job!
It’s called Polygal. You can find a vendor at Plaskolite.com.
What is the exact makeup of the interior flooring? Gravel only? Pavers? and how high up on 4x4 base timbers does the flooring go? Is it airtight? Thanks in advance.
I just used gravel for the floor and left a small air space under the 4x4 base to keep it dry. So, it's not airtight at all. Thanks for watching!
@@nicelittlesaturday Thanks! I’m getting ready to build my own version of your greenhouse! Appreciate the video very much!
would like to know dimensions? and is this in US cost. BY the way it turned out Awsome @@@
12’ x 8’, cost is in USD. Thanks for watching.
where did you get polycarbonate panels and locking channel for panels
This place: www.multicraftplastics.com

What’s it called that metal ridge you put on top of bottom cladding in 49:46 min and 53:00
That’s Z strip flashing. Sometimes called Z bar.

What kind of polycarbonate panels did you use for the greenhouse?
8mm Polygal twin wall polycarbonate sheets

The background music is incredible at 2x playback speed, trust me.
Well, I just priced materials for a 16X10X10 & Home Depot
wants $1100 with both ends still open. Kits are cheaper.
!
Gorgeous build but the sliding doors may become a problem wrt letting cod in and heat out
I partially open both doors on hot days and I’ve added some ventilation fans. The main reason for the build was to protect our plants from deer.

Great video had to mute the awful music after awhile
I don't like videos with music no words.
We’re all about that bass, no treble.
Did you use any ball bearings making this? How many hot dogs were consumed?
I will not entertain these juvenile, nonsensical inquiries.
