Having large rocks in a green house can be a very good way of storing passive heat, so that the sun heats them up throughout the day and releases the heat at night, so that the risk of frost damage is reduced. I would take the mini bench away so more sunlight can get to the rock.

♥️ LOVE the bench on the rock. So INGENIOUS! And creates a safety measure from tripping over that boulder.

You did amazing, as you always do. And the video was made beautifully 💕 Now to the part I don't really want to write, but feel compelled to as a professionally trained joiner who's seen a lot, and lost part of 3 fingers to a machine (they were all put back and healed fine in the end so I'm one of the lucky ones). Your safety awareness around power tools really scares me sometimes 🙈 To make a long story short, please never ever cut/saw lumber (or anything, aspecially in non uniform materials such as wood) with the blade pointing toward any body part. If you need to hold a piece of material, prop it up, or hold the end you want to keep from falling and saw with the other hand, never crossing the two. Never ever! Blades can shatter from nowhere in the middle of a cut (happens more frequently than you would think). Timber can all of a sudden change in density, within the same piece. Things, like pebbles, minerals etc can be invisibly imbedded in the wood (due to wind, animals etc, and then the bark just grows over it year after year making it invisible). All these things can cause saw blades to either shatter, kick back or rush forward, sometimes so rapidly your brain won't follow until after the fact. These things lead to lost fingers, severed arms and worse... All the time! You're so precious to so many of us. Please please be more safe, even if it means being slightly inconvenienced in the beginning. Once you get the hang of how to do things with safety first in mind it will quickly come as second nature (self preservation is a powerful motivator) and you'll just do things the safer way automatically. If you struggle with getting started, search for things like "circular saw safety" etc, and you'll get good visuals to remind you of the dos and don'ts to keep top of mind. I'm rooting for you in everything you do and hope you will take this as well intended advice rather than criticism. That's how it was meant, no more, no less. Take care, be happy & be safe. I all ready look forward to your next video 😊❤

Fabulous job and it looks really cute and functional! The only thing I would consider adding is a self ventilating window. They are relatively inexpensive, but an arm will push open the window automatically when the temp reaches a certain level. I don't think you even need solar for it. However, they do make small, inexpensive solar fans for greenhouses, too. It 's so important to keep the air moving.

What an enchanting little greenhouse which has inspired me to get on with my own build. Watching your parents help was a bitter-sweet experience. It reminded me of my own, who both passed away within months of each other ten years ago. Savor every moment you get with them.
One little warning about the material on the back of the greenhouse. I used that type of tarp myself. It was rated as UV protected, but it started disintegrating within a very short time, even in partial sun, and has left millions of tiny plastic squares scattered around. Every one of those tarps (polythene with embedded net) I've ever seen has done the same. I believe they ought to be banned from sale. Start looking for some alternative material to have on hand when you see the first signs. Sorry for the damper, but better be prepared.

Spectacular! You could honestly design greenhouse kits for people with limited budgets/space, from small raised beds/benches with storage underneath and swing tops to modular versions of what you created here, and make a good living off of it! There's a huge market in Sweden for alternatives, for everything from balconies, to urban gardening, hundreds of thousands of allotments and for regular gardens.
You're very talented in your use of simple materials making pleasing, functional and airy designs, like you did with your kitchen too.
I'm sure this greenhouse will be a total gamechanger for you from early spring next year. Being able to start the growing season earlier and keep the plants warmer makes all the difference up here. And besides all the food you'll yeild I'm sure you'll love spending time there, under that pitched roof. Well done you! 👏👌😍

One suggestion I would make is to use some metal bracing in several places to tie down your roof to the bottom rail like the one you used on the doomer. High winds will pull that roof off. Hear in the states they call them hurricane clips. But flat ones would do the same.❤❤❤😊

A little over a week ago I stumbled upon this wonderful channel, in a week I watched all 62 videos on the channel in one breath, and now I'm sad that they are over, that now I have to wait for each episode for two weeks ....😥

Watching this and seeing you'r mum working with you made me miss my mum so much!! She is no longer here with us but with great love I remember the moments when I did walpaperin and other building and renovating things with her.
You are lucky to still have your mum around ❤❤

What an awesome video. Love seeing you creating with your wonderful parents. You are so lucky to have such a supportive family. The greenhouse is stellar. The dormer for a proper door and peaked roof for snow load are both brilliant pivots. That’s your superpower, Rosie, on the move thinking, with a gorgeous outcome. A true skill.

What a joyous place you have created for yourself and your plants…..what a marvellous escape for those days when you are fed up with MDF or renovating in general! Be proud! You are such a marvellous craftswoman…no glue!!! I am so impressed with your diligence to detail….I guess it helps some that you are a designer by trade! I just happened upon your channel and now find myself an addict and binge quite a bit on your videos! Your parents are so good and helpful to you as well..making marvellous memories while playing in the sawdust! Xxx

Quick tip: use liquit soap to dip the screws in. Saves a lot of Akku power.
Build a Frame for the Door first, and then the door itself in between. BEFORE putting it on place. There you can test the Angles. Seal ever screw hole with wax or something else to smooth, to keep moisture pocket in and result in rotting the wood. Next time use oak. Nice Project. Thx for sharing.

I feel so inspired after watching this. I've wanted a greenhouse in my own garden, as it does get very hot in summer and, also very cold in winter where I live. I've wanted so badly to have the option of growing some greens and root veg through the winter. Thank you for showing how you pulled yours together. It's just amazing!

Rosie I'm so glad you got to share this special project with your mom and dad. And I'm so very glad you now have a sturdy greenhouse that will protect your vegetables from bad weather. And from rabbits and deers eating your crop. Thank you for sharing this video.
