Careful when fighting against Voyager. If you hit the galley with a quantum torpedo it will ignite the gas Neelix uses for cooking and detonate Janeway's coffee pods, taking out the entire Delta quadrant.
This is where the AI shows the seams. You're pummeling the E at point blank range with quantum torpedoes and pulse phasers to a collapsed side of its shields and it continues to fire on Voyager.
@@kaanottawhich leads me to continue wondering why no one has made a newer version/sequel that ISN'T an indy mod of the original. Don't get me wrong, some of these Indy remasters are incredible, but I think there is high enough demand for a developer to make a modernized version of this game with functional multiplayer, and all of the features that modders have added over the years. @@teamdoghouse82880 I am a huge fan of these Bridge Commander videos, as are all of these viewers. Unfortunately, from a gaming perspective, I don't think there is a real demand for any kind of sequel.
@@chrischandler9553 that's just sad. People really don't care about quality anymore, do they? Lol. BC was one of the greatest Trek games of all time. Should do a Delta Quadrant, Voyager and Equinox team up. See how some of Voyagers battles might have gone if the Equinox survived and they had travelled together.
Without the alien serial killer warp drive, the fully functional Equinox had a max speed of warp 8. Fun as Voy seasons 8-11 would have been, you gotta imagine not being able to run would start to wear on Janeway.
This is where good AI can really shine. The "They'll never expect this" reversal of techniques. They could really employ TTC (tactics, techniques, procedures) aspects to AI and it give a good framework for adopting new behaviours on the fly.
Whats ironic about this fight is that two of the Defiant's crew have served with Picard, Worf and O Brian. Makes one wonder whose side they'd be on in this fight.
Without a single shadow of doubt they would pick Picard. They both have far to much loyalty, respect, admiration, and love for Picard to pick any other captain over him.
You came upon my feed and I watched a video and fell in love. You got a subscription. love the videos! PS: Can you do battles against structures like DS9 in particular because I can come up with a ton of ideas if you can?
Result tracks. If ignored, Defiant can and should be able to penetrate conventional target defenses. Intrepid was never intended to solo cruisers and battleships with advanced weapons. Both ships fill significant roles in the overall fleet. Sovereign leads fleets but was advanced to respond to most situations without help from smaller, specialized friends. Small enough to be built in greater numbers than the larger star cruisers and heavy explorers, but still handle most of their mission profile.
was this using stock intrepid specs, or Voyager after it's delta quadrant upgrades? Either way, it's surprisingly even (considering the difference in torpedo firepower here)
It’s too bad the game doesn’t allow for splitting targeting up or even a fire at will button to make all phasers and torpedos fire on the closest ship in their field of fire. If the AI had access to this mode the first fight would have been very challenging.
When flying a cruiser against two lightweights you want to orbit and isolate one target. Keep the E rolling spread incoming damage, then turn to face and fire, fly past then stay in their kill slot. You're making yourself a target by not manuevering.
😨Jeepers Admiral. first battle was hard to watch gosh.. I would say too, the AI didn't use much tactics hmm odd. lol. and second well. I know Voyager takes hits and somehow heals lol but the Defiant, like they mention, had too much power and for a small ship, like in the show, got damage fast, and Dr. Basir, found it small and tight lol. I did love it but when saw the Akira, I changed lol. the Ent E. well. Geordi said it, '' The most advanced starship in Starfleet'' at the time. so. hmm.. lol How did you separated Picard and the fishies lol. first Borg and Fish, gosh wonder wants next.. oh yes Part Android gosh he really went through all the changes eeh.. 😊🖖
I said, "Holy crap!" with my eyes widened when you destroyed the Enterprise-E. Yup O'Brien was quick on repairing the sensors lol. However you finished them off quickly. I have to agree that the computer didn't utilize the Enterprise-E the first time around which was interesting to say the least. I also agree that it's a vastly superior ship compared to the Defiant and Voyager. As you said they have more power to work with than the Defiant and their weaponry is more advanced than Voyager's. Especially when it got the upgrades during the Dominion War and even more so after Nemesis. I know that John Eaves has said he really wanted the Nemesis version to be the Insurrection version as well. However it didn't happen. I wanna say Insurrection is in a slightly different reality. As they changed the bridge for stupid reasons and that Troi said, "I've never kissed you with a beard before." Even though she had in TNG.
That's interesting about Insurrection. I like the idea of it being in a different reality. Something about that entire movie was just, off.. Like you say, continuity issues and the famous Joystick incident, lol 🖖
The Ent E seems to completely ignore the Defiant in that first fight. The E should really be able to beat both these ships especially if it is the refit E.
Sorry, but Voyager definitely gets the win. A ship who spend years in the delta quadrant, fight borg and so many species, only to get back without a single scratch on the ship. 😂😂😂😂
Never really got the lack of phaser arrays on the Defiant. I get it's meant to be a speedy, agile ship with front loaded weapons, but you still want 360 x 360 degree coverage. It doesn't really cost anything to have extra phaser arrays, you can have as many weapons as you like, you just might not be able to fire them all at once. Given how slow torpedoes are, phaser arrays would make fantastic point defence weapons, but that's a whole other argument.
Hi, nice match up, but there's absolutely no way that those two ships could cope with the fire power that the Enterprise E could bring to bare. The computer really doesn't use it correctly.
its also clear here this mods Sovereign is undertuned compared to intrepid and Defiant. Sovereign can fire lots more torpedoes than that, and has shield strengths more than double a galaxy, while neither an intrepid nor a defiant have the shields of a galaxy, let alone a sovereign.
@@ryuukeisscifiproductions1818 I completely agree, I think a factory stock Sovereign would rain hurt on those two without too much problem, I love these match up's, but I think the game seriously underestimates some of the ships power, the Defiant is a good ship, but on its own absolutely no match for some of the ships, if you want my honest opinion I think it was lucky in the scuffle with a Excelsior Class, I know they were supposed to be holding back, but I also think the Excelsior was as well, if was to be a blood bath I think that ship could have seriously hurt Defiant before it went down.
The Defiant class... It was never shown or fully exploited but the Defiant class was never meant to go in to battle as a single ship, they were meant to operate in groups of 3-5 ships working on a single target together. That's why they were made small, maneuverable, and heavily armed... Instead of 1 powerful sovereign class to target you get multiple aggressors, much smaller in size, making them harder to target, but pack the same or bigger punch than the bigger ship. Why they were never shown in this pack role as they were intended is by far beyond me. In my opinion if you wanted to truly test the sovereign class you would pit it against multiple defiant class (nx defiant, sauPaul, and valiant) ships
This is what I don't like about these games. Canonically the Enterprise E has better ablative armor than the Defiant does yet it isn't factored into the game. Also the real battle here is a weak game AI vs an experienced human player. With these ships the human should win every time.
Sovereign should stomp both with ease. Voyager officially had type 8 phasers, much weaker than the Galaxy type 10 and nothing like the Sovereign type 12.
As much as the Intrepid class is my favourite design of ship, it is the weakest of these three ships in combat. However, if she was armed with quantum torpedoes, plated with Defiant style armour, and equipped with regenerative shields, Voyager would probably come in first place.
What bothers me a little about the game is that the weapons only fire one-dimensionally. Actually, the Enterprise could have attacked both the Voyager and the Defiant at the same time.
Do a Voyager and the,Klingon Battlecruiser thry met together uf they were not stupid enought blow it uo like they were. Hiw woukd they have got on? Also a Dominion V the Borg. Tgat woukd be cool.
Picard was never a great tactician. His strength was in his diplomacy. Janeway is a veteran of the Cardassian war and probably one of the smartest ops based officers ever. Sisko is the indispensable man in military conflict, always tripping over events with celestial assistance and his hatred for Picard is second to none. I think a combined effort of Janeway and Sisko would prevail. And honestly, Voyager is tougher than a Sovereign class in terms of hits it can take. All enterprises suffer from vulnerable engine rooms. Voyager doesn’t have that problem. The defiant may go down… but voyager shot for shot would win.
Careful when fighting against Voyager. If you hit the galley with a quantum torpedo it will ignite the gas Neelix uses for cooking and detonate Janeway's coffee pods, taking out the entire Delta quadrant.

As I have said Voyager should be the one that returned from the Delta quadrant. That is the fight people want to see when they say Voyager.
