    Missed you man! Had a good laugh with "Go back to bed and maybe you won't get hurt"... that was great, I'm still chuckling.
    I know a few safety Sallys that spend more time thinking about what could happen than just getting the job done.

    Great tips on what to do. So funny, just the other day I had a power loss and found that there was a glaze over on a fuse so I cleaned it with an eraser on a pencil and it polished right up. Like your reflector. So Great to see you again. Catch you soon Buddy and Thanks for being there for The VW Community. BigW:-)

    Hay buddy, I had the same problem on the 64 bug, i cleaned everything like you have done, but went one step farther, the grounding on a 64 uses the fender back through the body to battery ground, so I soldered a terminal to each base, then ran a wire back to the body with star washers for a good ground, then I also used dielectric on all bases of the bulbs and contacts. seem to fix my floating ground problem in the rear, si I did it to the front turn signals and the headlights. All is great now, U got all LEDs in mine also, got them off amazon. they work great and really bright. Glad to see you buddy thanks for the video. Happy Bugin

    Good to see you again young man. On mine '66 what ever could go wrong with el. instalation did. Eventually most staff had to be re-done from scratch.

    G'day Kevin from Australia.
    Great to see you I've missed your videos.
    Wiring its like a dirty word to a vw owner. On my 63 beetle (Betsie) its no different you must be vigilant with wiring no adding little bits of scrap wire use quilty wire. I also find the fist thing to allways check on these old cars is the ground and the fuse . ✌✌

    I was thinking about you today and what do ya know, up comes a Vidio. Great idea the leads, you could clip them together any length depending on your extention leads.
    I have just cleaned my 34PICT3 carby, but I didn't clean down around that ball bearing. What are the symptoms of dirt round that area. Just asking because my buggy is running a sweet colour on the plugs but lacks a bit of top end.

    • @TheEZGZ
      @TheEZGZ  4 роки тому +1

      The ball is the accelerator pump circuit check valve. There is a hole in the bottom of the bowl right under that plug. It is the inlet. The outlet is under the diaphram of the pump. If your pump spray is not good you may have crudd in there. If you can't hear the ball move and can not blow air threw from the bowl side you can still clean it out like I explained in this vid.

    My '70 Beetle no longer has taillights, brake lights, reverse lights or license plate light, but the turn signals work. Not sure what happened. Fuses looked ok. It happened either after I accidently hooked up jumper cables backwards, or had an electrical meltdown by having a wire cross on the coil, melted my condensor wire and points, had just installed my dual carbs. Not sure if either are related to the rear lights being out, but maybe a junction or something came loose? I'm not sure what happened.

    • @TheEZGZ
      @TheEZGZ  5 місяців тому

      Just get a volt meter or test light and start the car or turn on the key with coil wire power disconnected. Start at the front and work your way back. Especially check everything on the back of the fuse block and all your ground points at the rear of the car. They connect to the body and get corroded. Get a long wire to go directly to the negative side of your battery to your test equipment.

    Also can you make a vid of you drive the Baja ! I have one too and what your thoughts are for them on all terrain what you’d suggest are must have things to be able to survive the elements any tips and tricks to a new Baja owner !

    • @TheEZGZ
      @TheEZGZ  2 роки тому +1

      I have already got many video's about my Baja. It is my favorite ride by far. Best thing to preserve it is to store in a garage when not in use. It's a constant battle to keep the engine clean and in good tune. Click on my picture below the vid and it should take you to my home page to look for baja stuff. I have 800 vids on U tube

    Rinse those contacts with hot distiled water or drinking water also helps remove the corrosion or clean. I also use aluminum tape to reuse old german inner parts form my 1968 Bay window bus, Regards Sir!!!

      We will have to wait and see how it holds up over the long haul. These LED lights run a lot cooler than the bulbs so I have my hopes up

    Ha! I haven't seen a Mr. YUCK sticker in 30 plus years!! 10:54 ( I know thats not a real mr yuck sticker, but it sure reminded me of one!!!)
    Edit: "If you are that safety sally, go back to bed, maybe it will be saft there"..... HILAROUS!!!!!
    I like aluminum tape even more then duck tape.

    A fiberglass scratch brush and some Dielectric grease is your friend! 110 volt AC male and female plugs are supposed to be Murphy proof, until Murphy starts to play with them!

    Hey 2 wires hooks you up and 3 wires messes you up but as long as you don’t let that magic smoke out of the wire your good to go .

    So a lot of trouble can be corrected by just cleaning the contacts. I was driving home and my cousin was behind me and told me both brake lights werent working. I thought it might be a fuse. Strange both stopped working at same time.

      Ounce I get them cleaned up that would be the way to go. I also have to get things sealed real good or the dust will make it dielectric mudd
