  • Don't follow this easy to make recipe or you could accidentally make alcohol and in some places that is illegal. Also, it is really cheap to make alcohol this way. Some call it booze, others hooch, some call it prison wine. Call it whatever you like, its just an easy way to make something different during this corona virus pandemic. If you want to buy yeast, I suggest ordering it from Amazon because yeast has been pretty hard to come by in the grocery stores. There is a link down below for all the different types as well as a link for the water filter I used to turn this delicious "juice" into something just as delicious.

    During the American Prohibition a company would sell something called grape juice bricks I believe. There was a “warning” on the box to not mix with sugar and water and leave it in a cupboard for a week or else it would make alcohol and that would be illegal. This video reminded me of that fact.

    If you accidently put your juice in beer bottles that had none screw on caps after about 14 days and then accidently spilled a small amount of sugar into each beer bottle before capping the bottle the remaining yeast in the mixture would carbonate the accidental wine and make it sparkling.

    • @thechittychef
      @thechittychef  3 роки тому +12

      Yeah, if you are trying to NOT make alcohol, make sure to NOT put a small hole in the balloon. By NOT putting a hole in the balloon, it will keep inflating more and more until it pops off the bottle and it will hinder the alcohol making process. Overall: small hole in balloon = bad because it will make alcohol which is exactly what I was trying to avoid in this video.

    • @thechittychef

      The juice is there for the sugar as well as flavoring. I would guess that if you put in enough sugar you could do it with just water as well but I bet that wouldn't really taste all that good. There is a limit to how much alcohol can be made in this way but it all comes down to the sugar/yeast ratio from what I've heard. Thanks for watching!
