If you have some glue still, use acetone and paper towel or microfibre and rub on the glue. It will desolve all the remaining glue without any effort !
Had I known how easy removing window tint from a window in the house I bought 10 months ago would be, I wouldn't have procrastinated for, well, 10 months. I used a hair dryer and was done in maybe 10 minutes. Easily cleaned any residual with rubbing alcohol. Most valuable instructional video I have watched in a long time and maybe ever.

The previous owner purchased it in Florida, but I'm in New England and the tints are too dark to be legal here. I had been scrambling trying to find an auto shop that would remove the tints until I looked into it more online and with help from this video I got it done by myself quickly and for next to no money. You know, ... the coolest thing about using a razor blade to remove the adhesive, is that when you cut yourself, the adhesive allows you to just press the skin back together ... and "presto" ... you are good as new! (Haven't tried it with muscle tissue or tendons yet, but I sure it will work just fine.) 😜👍

I purchased everything you have listed. I did exactly the way your video shows and it did not come off like that. I was even in the Arizona sunshine 80 degree temperature outside. The residue left completely covered the passenger side window that I attempted your process with. You cannot guarantee that this procedure will work for every case.

Just bought a car that had 5% tint all around, and it was almost impossible to see at night. My wife absolutely refused to drive the car, so I went to a couple of shops, and they actually didn't want to remove it because of the adhesive, so with no other choice, I had to do it myself. Your video absolutely saved me, not only was I able to easily remove the tint, but the few glue spots I did have also came off easily. I can't thank you enough!
Does your defroster grid on the rear window still work? The easiest removal method for the rear window is this... Use a large BLACK plastic trash bag, slit so it's one large piece. Spray the inside of the rear window with a glass cleaner, like Windex and spread the plastic bag on the glass. Tuck it in the corners and just under the plastic trim. You want it flat and touching the entire window. The liquid glass cleaner will help it 'stick' to the glass. Now park the car outside with the back window DIRECTLY facing the sun. Let it bake for about 30-40 minutes until the glass is too hot to touch. On the inside, lift a small top corner of the plastic bag and start picking at the edge of the tint, while leaving the trash bag on the glass. Start pulling the tint, very slowly. It should come off smoothly. If it makes a ripping sound, it's not hot enough and is most likely leaving adhesive on the glass. If that's the case, Leave the trash bag on longer. You should be able to remove all the tint with adhesive using this method. If your old tint is purple and bubbling, that means it's a cheap laminated old tint and will most likely separate, leaving another film layer still on the glass. This layer will come off in tiny smelly pieces and will take HOURS to remove and it will leave it's adhesive on the glass. A steamer is your only alternative at this point, if you want to have a working defroster grid. I've been tinting for 30 years and this is the most reliable method of pulling tint cleanly off the glass. Your dry heat method won't work on purple tint. Also, when removing tint off any other window, use your heat gun to get it hot, but have a spray bottle mixture of water/dishwashing soap and spray under the tint where it's still hot. Keep pulling slowly, when it makes a ripping sound, STOP, heat more and spray more soap solution, repeat.
@@luplewis9837 If it's a newer vehicle, stuff towels at the very bottom of the windshield. If the liquid seeps down under the dash it will fry the ECU or any sensors hidden there.😱
⭐The only problem is that this only works on newer tent like you have not on 10 or 20 year old tint! When the tent is fairly new the glue or adhesive is still pliable, whereas after it has been sitting in the sun for 10 to 20-years it becomes crusty and heat will not make it soft again at that point... (Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt!)
For some reason the heat wasn't working well for me, so I ended up using dish soap and a lot of water and it worked really well! Hardly any adhesive, and to remove the adhesive it did leave behind I used rubbing alcohol. Worked like a charm!
My first attempt was on the passenger side window in the back seat on a cold day. By the time I removed half of the tint I ended up with a bunch of small strips of tint and a lot of manual labor with an awful .99 cent store scraper. Next time I'll be ready. Great video once again! PS: the little black dots are called the dot matrix and they are there to protect the glue that holds the glass panels in place. ;)
A fabric steamer does wonders when removing window tint and using a fabric steamer along with a razor blade makes removing any adhesive residue a piece of cake.
i actually liked how that first shot looked with the window tint over the lens. it had a nice softness to it , bloomed the highlights, and made your skin look smooth. maybe use it for more stuff going forward

Guys. The cheapest heat gun you can find at menards or something for $20. I was ignorant and thought they cost a ton. But they’re pretty cheap just go out and get it. I know not having a heat gun is holding the majority of you back cuz it did to me. So here’s my 2 cents, it’s cheap go get it!
Good vid! While I'm certain this works for most, I'm that person where it's never that easy. Only had my tint for about 20 months and wanted to take it off my front 2 windows. Followed the process and for whatever reason, from the middle down the adhesive just stuck to the windows. I couldn't understand why. Then, Goo Gone, Alchohol, none of that worked well getting it off. I spent over an hour barely making progress scrubbing and didn't want to use a blade. BUT let me tell u, I went to the store and off a hunch got Goof Off Pro Strength Remover for like over 5 bucks. That stuff wiped the adhesive off like it was nothing with no effort. Harmless to the glass. Took me only a couple minutes to get it off of the other window.
It works.. definitely works.. one thing to make sure is that the hot gun is not set too high otherwise it leaves the glue spots on the glass.. so the right temp is the key.. great tip thanks..
My local shop quoted me $100 just for removal of the old tint so I'm gonna give this a shot since i already own a heat gun very informative video thanks!
i ripped the tint off my driver window and thought i broke it but all of the adhesive was still on it i came into this completely blind. i watched this video on how to do it and hit it with a heat gun and the other 3 and 2 smaller ones came off with little to no adhesive on them! as for the adhesive window i scrubbed it with googone and it was taking forever so i hit it with a razor blade and it took no time at all! super helpful video i’d recommend it to anyone going to take their tint off without knowing how to
Good video. We use a steamer wich is a bit safer if you dont remove interior panels. And you use a heat gun. Be careful to not burn them... we have a good video on re tinting
I haven’t done this but my tint guy suggested an interesting method to remove old tint. I’m probably going to give it a shot to remove the tint that’s on my windshield. He suggested to leave the vehicle in the sun for a while. Then you spray the tint with a mixture of Dawn dish soap and water and then stick a black trash bag onto the tint and leave it in the sun. After hours he says the tint will just come right off with the adhesive still on the film.
I use a mix of hot water/white vinegar in a spray bottle with fine mist. I use a cheap/thin black trash bag and hold it to the tinted side as i spray an press it to the old tint where it sticks, like adding new tint if that makes sense. Spray just enough where its not dripping all over the interior, do this out in the sun too works even faster. 10 minutes all the tint is ready so do all the windows at once so each window is ready after you pull tint of the 1st one. (literally slides off in 1 piece) Works great on those really old cars with tint from the 90's thats like hard hot glue tint. Do this and all the flim & adhesive comes off 1st try But doing it in the sun works best. Just my 2 cents of exp with tint removal in cars & boats. Spray on tint that's another story and major p.i.t.a. but comes off with non-abrasive gojo gel hand cleaner & patience
Yep that definitely works in the warm weather climate. Up here in Wisconsin it's gloomy half of the year so we can't fall back on that method unfortunately. So to the steamer we go.
Ok, just took mines off. No need for a heat gun, blow dryer works just as good. I started with my front windows and it was rough. I peeled it hard and left glue residue behind (even by using the blow dryer) Acetone didn’t work to remove the glue. I used Goof Off (household heavy duty remover it’s blue) and it worked amazing...at least for me. I bought the little spray bottle, sprayed it on the window and it cleaned it right off. As for my other windows all I needed was my blade. When you are pulling my best advice is to pull downwards real slow...really slow. Do not pull too hard. At this point I didn’t even need my blow dryer or the goof off. No, I am not a pro but I sure did feel like it afterwards 😎
I’m so glad I came across this video and the comment section. I unfortunately have to remove my tint to get an inspection sticker on my car. I wish I didn’t have to but my home state sucks when it comes to tint.
So, I gave your method a try today. It's been on my list of things to do for a year! I finally got at it today. I failed on the first window because I didn't let it heat up enough (using a heat gun)... I was too cautious I guess. The other windows worked pretty well... except for the rear windshield... the adhesive stayed on the glass (completely! lol). After scraping the windows (with a razor blade) I used mineral spirits (usually used for cleaning paint brushes) to get the rest of the adhesive off. It worked really well but absolutely wreaked!! lol I should say, I didn't use the razor on the rear window as I didn't want to wreck the defogging filaments. thanks for posting the video!
I don’t know if it’s because my tint has only been on my vehicle for 3 years, but when I tried heating the tint, the more I heated it, the more glue residue was left on the glass. After the heat wasn’t working, I just tried using heat to get started with a small edge and once I had a hold of enough tint to grab hold onto to, I just pulled the tint off fairly quickly without any heat, and the entire sheet of tint came off with at most 2% of the glass surface area left with some residue. Previously I removed the tint from 2 door windows by applying a good amount of heat as directed by this video, and my windows were left with at least 80% of the surface area covered with glue. It wasn’t a big deal, because instead of trying to carefully scrape off all the glue with a razor blade without scratching my glass, I just applied a generous amount of 99% isopropyl alcohol to a cloth rag and the glue came right off, even on the first 2 windows where I removed the tint with heat, and left tons of glue residue on the glass. The more generous you are with the alcohol, the quicker and easier the glue comes off. I would say try both methods with and without heat. I think if my tint was older and more brittle, it probably would have torn without applying heat first, but I had high quality 3M tint that was only 3 years old and my car has been stored in my garage except when I wasn’t home, so the tiny was in good shape, and it came off super easy with the quick pull method. I didn’t yank it super fast, and I didn’t baby it. I applied a enough pressure to pull the entire sheet of tint off of rear window of a Tesla Model 3 In about 4 to 5 seconds.
I'm wondering why if the heat helps, why wouldn't you turn on the rear defroster to hep with that? Also, if you don't want to melt your interior, maybe heating from the outside of the car might be safer when you're near the edges?
Lucky, I just got a speeding ticket and the cop wrote me a fix it ticket for the windshield and front windows too. Honestly more upset about the tint then the speeding ticket lol
I just finished doing one of my windows and it wasn't even close to being that easy. The tint was already bubbled in places when I got the car a handful of years ago. Heat didn't help at all (in fact it just gummed up the adhesive and made that spot more difficult to remove later). I'm assuming it's because of the age of the tint (at least 10 years old), and it was probably low quality to begin with. It was brittle and wouldn't begin to peel, it was more like trying to remove a hard shell that had been glued to the glass. I ended up having to manhandle all of it off with a blade, then go back over the entire window again with a blade (several) to get the bulk of the adhesive that remained. At that point I was frustrated, sweating my arse off, and just done with the whole ordeal, so I said screw it and hit it with some foaming glass cleaner and paper towels. I wanted to try alcohol but couldn't find any, so I figured what the heck. That alone made the rest of the adhesive just fall off, I was surprised at how effective it was. It only took one pass to remove the rest of it. Now I have three more windows to do :(
A word of warning in following this video. I am sure the poster was showing a valid way to remove certain window tints. However, I think that window tints use a variety of tint materials and adhesives, and from my experience this may not be the best way to remove all window tints. In my case, I followed the suggestions from the video, and it resulted in a lot of adhesive left on the window. Perhaps I heated the tine more than I should have. However, I tried to remove the tint WITHOUT heat and it worked much better, with little or no adhesive left on the window. Again, this may not work for you, but it did for me. Suggest you try to remove the tint sheet first with no heat. Then try heat, if this does not work.
From my chemistry background...if you have adhesive stuck to glass, get some paper towels wet with isopropyl alcohol (NOT dripping - you'll discolor the trim!) and wipe. If that doesn't work, try acetone or nail polish remover. Residual solvent will evaporate away. Be careful of fumes - both flammable and hazardous. Do this outside.
Old adhesive on glass can almost always be removed with ... BUTTER. Smear some butter on the glue and wait overnight. Using a nice soft 3M pad or even a rough paper towel the glue will come off like sticky honey and be easy to clean up with alcohol.
Gasoline or WD40 helps a lot to remove sticky residue. Just a dab on a paper towel helps so much. Faster and cleaner then gogone I’ve experienced. Thanks good video dude! 👍🏽

I am going to do this for my brother on his driver side door so I already looked up putting it on and I'm watching this for taking it off and appreciate the advice and also the first thing I thought of was I don't have any tools that heat up things but I do have a hairdryer that's pretty new so I figured I could probably use that
This would be best case. Also you can remove your rear defrosters on the rear when doing this and they won’t work anymore just from pulling the film off.
This worked great thanks I didn't have a razor for a small area that had adhesive but I used a paper towel soaked in rubbing alcohol & in small circles it came off but not on some spots that's looked just cloudy from Old adhesive.

1 year old tint for me the heat gun made the glue separate and stick to the glass so halfway through I pulled with no heat and guess what the glue came off with the tint, some things work for others and some do not, if it's fairly new tint then try a corner w/out heat and see what happens, I wish I would have done that
Thanks for a great video. Just bought a beautiful and incredibly clean used PT Cruiser, and the film is toast. Only thing I can add (since I haven't started yet) is, from experience on other adhesives, maybe try using gauze pads and 100% acetone (fingernail polish remover-the original) to clean left on residue. The gauze is JUST abrasive enough without scratching glass, and the acetone basically turns the adhesive into its liquid base, so it will just wipe off. The only thing is you have to work fast, especially in hotter weather, because the acetone will evaporate quickly. Just do small sections at a time. Let me know if it works. :)
Maybe they were right tho, if you have one of those heated defrost kind of rear windows (like on the video, you can see the lines), sometimes you cannot remove the tint without damaging the heating element that is stuck on the glass, like it basically comes off with the tint. If you didn't have that kind of thing on your window, or even if you did but that your tint wasn't that old, you got ripped off big time. Or maybe they already damaged them and didn't tell you they were just like "yeah we might damage it so might as well get a new window, we're totally not saying that because we already fucked up" Edit: Just realised Milan mentionned about ruining those lines when taking the tint off.

the tint/film on my back windshield is ssooooo old, cracking, peeling, and it is difficult to see through, any time day or night... it's very dangerous...

Thank you for a great and most helpful video I used a heat gun on high and heated up a vertical section and started pulling the tint away and kept moving the gun around and kept pulling the tint and it all came off easy it was the back window of a BA Falcon ute didn't hurt the demister lines and what amazed me was as the tint was coming off it seemed to be leaving a glue residue but then it disappeared don't know what all the worry was about
If any residue is left, spray WD-40 and let it sit for a few seconds then wipe clean with paper towel. I'm sure something like Goo Gone would work similarly.

When i use the razor blade i like to use soapy water with it and keep the old tint hanging until to catch the liquid from going under the panel

I think you can clean that adhesive/glue with Isopropyl alcohol. some types of glue can be cleaned very easy with this type of alcohol.

$15 garment steamer from amazon and I had tint off the windows in about an hour with no glue residue. This is an excellent method.

Guys. The cheapest heat gun you can find at menards or something for $20. I was ignorant and thought they cost a ton. But they’re pretty cheap just go out and get it. I know not having a heat gun is holding the majority of you back cuz it did to me. So here’s my 2 cents, it’s cheap go get it!

You can also use a clay bar to remove imperfections on glass as well as paint. Also, Kleen Strip makes an adhesive remover.

Good vid! While I'm certain this works for most, I'm that person where it's never that easy. Only had my tint for about 20 months and wanted to take it off my front 2 windows. Followed the process and for whatever reason, from the middle down the adhesive just stuck to the windows. I couldn't understand why.
Then, Goo Gone, Alchohol, none of that worked well getting it off. I spent over an hour barely making progress scrubbing and didn't want to use a blade. BUT let me tell u, I went to the store and off a hunch got Goof Off Pro Strength Remover for like over 5 bucks. That stuff wiped the adhesive off like it was nothing with no effort. Harmless to the glass. Took me only a couple minutes to get it off of the other window.
It works.. definitely works.. one thing to make sure is that the hot gun is not set too high otherwise it leaves the glue spots on the glass.. so the right temp is the key.. great tip thanks..
My local shop quoted me $100 just for removal of the old tint so I'm gonna give this a shot since i already own a heat gun very informative video thanks!

i ripped the tint off my driver window and thought i broke it but all of the adhesive was still on it i came into this completely blind. i watched this video on how to do it and hit it with a heat gun and the other 3 and 2 smaller ones came off with little to no adhesive on them! as for the adhesive window i scrubbed it with googone and it was taking forever so i hit it with a razor blade and it took no time at all! super helpful video i’d recommend it to anyone going to take their tint off without knowing how to
Good video. We use a steamer wich is a bit safer if you dont remove interior panels. And you use a heat gun. Be careful to not burn them... we have a good video on re tinting

I haven’t done this but my tint guy suggested an interesting method to remove old tint. I’m probably going to give it a shot to remove the tint that’s on my windshield. He suggested to leave the vehicle in the sun for a while. Then you spray the tint with a mixture of Dawn dish soap and water and then stick a black trash bag onto the tint and leave it in the sun. After hours he says the tint will just come right off with the adhesive still on the film.

I use a mix of hot water/white vinegar in a spray bottle with fine mist. I use a cheap/thin black trash bag and hold it to the tinted side as i spray an press it to the old tint where it sticks, like adding new tint if that makes sense. Spray just enough where its not dripping all over the interior, do this out in the sun too works even faster. 10 minutes all the tint is ready so do all the windows at once so each window is ready after you pull tint of the 1st one. (literally slides off in 1 piece) Works great on those really old cars with tint from the 90's thats like hard hot glue tint. Do this and all the flim & adhesive comes off 1st try But doing it in the sun works best. Just my 2 cents of exp with tint removal in cars & boats. Spray on tint that's another story and major p.i.t.a. but comes off with non-abrasive gojo gel hand cleaner & patience
Yep that definitely works in the warm weather climate. Up here in Wisconsin it's gloomy half of the year so we can't fall back on that method unfortunately. So to the steamer we go.

Ok, just took mines off. No need for a heat gun, blow dryer works just as good. I started with my front windows and it was rough. I peeled it hard and left glue residue behind (even by using the blow dryer) Acetone didn’t work to remove the glue. I used Goof Off (household heavy duty remover it’s blue) and it worked amazing...at least for me. I bought the little spray bottle, sprayed it on the window and it cleaned it right off. As for my other windows all I needed was my blade. When you are pulling my best advice is to pull downwards real slow...really slow. Do not pull too hard. At this point I didn’t even need my blow dryer or the goof off. No, I am not a pro but I sure did feel like it afterwards 😎

So, I gave your method a try today. It's been on my list of things to do for a year! I finally got at it today. I failed on the first window because I didn't let it heat up enough (using a heat gun)... I was too cautious I guess.
The other windows worked pretty well... except for the rear windshield... the adhesive stayed on the glass (completely! lol).
After scraping the windows (with a razor blade) I used mineral spirits (usually used for cleaning paint brushes) to get the rest of the adhesive off. It worked really well but absolutely wreaked!! lol
I should say, I didn't use the razor on the rear window as I didn't want to wreck the defogging filaments.

I don’t know if it’s because my tint has only been on my vehicle for 3 years, but when I tried heating the tint, the more I heated it, the more glue residue was left on the glass.
After the heat wasn’t working, I just tried using heat to get started with a small edge and once I had a hold of enough tint to grab hold onto to, I just pulled the tint off fairly quickly without any heat, and the entire sheet of tint came off with at most 2% of the glass surface area left with some residue.
Previously I removed the tint from 2 door windows by applying a good amount of heat as directed by this video, and my windows were left with at least 80% of the surface area covered with glue.
It wasn’t a big deal, because instead of trying to carefully scrape off all the glue with a razor blade without scratching my glass, I just applied a generous amount of 99% isopropyl alcohol to a cloth rag and the glue came right off, even on the first 2 windows where I removed the tint with heat, and left tons of glue residue on the glass. The more generous you are with the alcohol, the quicker and easier the glue comes off.
I would say try both methods with and without heat. I think if my tint was older and more brittle, it probably would have torn without applying heat first, but I had high quality 3M tint that was only 3 years old and my car has been stored in my garage except when I wasn’t home, so the tiny was in good shape, and it came off super easy with the quick pull method. I didn’t yank it super fast, and I didn’t baby it. I applied a enough pressure to pull the entire sheet of tint off of rear window of a Tesla Model 3 In about 4 to 5 seconds.
I'm wondering why if the heat helps, why wouldn't you turn on the rear defroster to hep with that? Also, if you don't want to melt your interior, maybe heating from the outside of the car might be safer when you're near the edges?

Lucky, I just got a speeding ticket and the cop wrote me a fix it ticket for the windshield and front windows too. Honestly more upset about the tint then the speeding ticket lol
I just finished doing one of my windows and it wasn't even close to being that easy. The tint was already bubbled in places when I got the car a handful of years ago. Heat didn't help at all (in fact it just gummed up the adhesive and made that spot more difficult to remove later). I'm assuming it's because of the age of the tint (at least 10 years old), and it was probably low quality to begin with. It was brittle and wouldn't begin to peel, it was more like trying to remove a hard shell that had been glued to the glass. I ended up having to manhandle all of it off with a blade, then go back over the entire window again with a blade (several) to get the bulk of the adhesive that remained. At that point I was frustrated, sweating my arse off, and just done with the whole ordeal, so I said screw it and hit it with some foaming glass cleaner and paper towels. I wanted to try alcohol but couldn't find any, so I figured what the heck. That alone made the rest of the adhesive just fall off, I was surprised at how effective it was. It only took one pass to remove the rest of it.
Now I have three more windows to do :(
A word of warning in following this video. I am sure the poster was showing a valid way to remove certain window tints. However, I think that window tints use a variety of tint materials and adhesives, and from my experience this may not be the best way to remove all window tints. In my case, I followed the suggestions from the video, and it resulted in a lot of adhesive left on the window. Perhaps I heated the tine more than I should have. However, I tried to remove the tint WITHOUT heat and it worked much better, with little or no adhesive left on the window. Again, this may not work for you, but it did for me. Suggest you try to remove the tint sheet first with no heat. Then try heat, if this does not work.

From my chemistry background...if you have adhesive stuck to glass, get some paper towels wet with isopropyl alcohol (NOT dripping - you'll discolor the trim!) and wipe. If that doesn't work, try acetone or nail polish remover. Residual solvent will evaporate away. Be careful of fumes - both flammable and hazardous. Do this outside.

Old adhesive on glass can almost always be removed with ... BUTTER. Smear some butter on the glue and wait overnight. Using a nice soft 3M pad or even a rough paper towel the glue will come off like sticky honey and be easy to clean up with alcohol.
It depends on the type of film and how long ago the tint was done. Some tints takes forever to take them off
Gasoline or WD40 helps a lot to remove sticky residue. Just a dab on a paper towel helps so much. Faster and cleaner then gogone I’ve experienced. Thanks good video dude! 👍🏽

This would be best case. Also you can remove your rear defrosters on the rear when doing this and they won’t work anymore just from pulling the film off.
The redlines running across back window are actually what heats and defrosts the glass dots are just there for visual effect over glue and glass edges

This worked great thanks I didn't have a razor for a small area that had adhesive but I used a paper towel soaked in rubbing alcohol & in small circles it came off but not on some spots that's looked just cloudy from Old adhesive.

Yo the heat gun worked. The tint came right off and I saved $100
1 year old tint for me the heat gun made the glue separate and stick to the glass so halfway through I pulled with no heat and guess what the glue came off with the tint, some things work for others and some do not, if it's fairly new tint then try a corner w/out heat and see what happens, I wish I would have done that

Thanks for a great video. Just bought a beautiful and incredibly clean used PT Cruiser, and the film is toast. Only thing I can add (since I haven't started yet) is, from experience on other adhesives, maybe try using gauze pads and 100% acetone (fingernail polish remover-the original) to clean left on residue. The gauze is JUST abrasive enough without scratching glass, and the acetone basically turns the adhesive into its liquid base, so it will just wipe off. The only thing is you have to work fast, especially in hotter weather, because the acetone will evaporate quickly. Just do small sections at a time. Let me know if it works. :)

Maybe they were right tho, if you have one of those heated defrost kind of rear windows (like on the video, you can see the lines), sometimes you cannot remove the tint without damaging the heating element that is stuck on the glass, like it basically comes off with the tint.
If you didn't have that kind of thing on your window, or even if you did but that your tint wasn't that old, you got ripped off big time. Or maybe they already damaged them and didn't tell you they were just like "yeah we might damage it so might as well get a new window, we're totally not saying that because we already fucked up"
Edit: Just realised Milan mentionned about ruining those lines when taking the tint off.

the tint/film on my back windshield is ssooooo old, cracking, peeling, and it is difficult to see through, any time day or night... it's very dangerous...

To get glue off the window I used thinners on a rag gets it off easily. Quicker than razor blade and less cut fingers!

Thank you for a great and most helpful video I used a heat gun on high and heated up a vertical section and started pulling the tint away and kept moving the gun around and kept pulling the tint and it all came off easy it was the back window of a BA Falcon ute didn't hurt the demister lines and what amazed me was as the tint was coming off it seemed to be leaving a glue residue but then it disappeared don't know what all the worry was about
If any residue is left, spray WD-40 and let it sit for a few seconds then wipe clean with paper towel. I'm sure something like Goo Gone would work similarly.
