The great thing about Tool is they are the drug; you don't need them to listen. Tool is yhe GOAT. They have created almost 50 masterpieces. It's crazy. the way i feel when i listen to Tool is a way I've never felt about music. 🌀 Keep going! The Tool army will come... react to all their songs.
Maybe do audio 1st, then drum cam. The song is only 13-ish minutes. So - there is almost 30 minutes if you don’t speak. As a Tool fan - we would enjoy every second of it.
The Fibonacci sequence is an infinite sequence that starts with 0 and 1 and continues in such a way that each number is the sum of the previous two numbers.
I also really like Tool, but the arrogance and superiority complex some fans have is mind-boggling to me. No wonder Maynard hates these kind of fans...
If you like this stuff, do me a favor. Check out rage against the machine . I suggest you start with bulls on parade. I’d also love to see a reaction to soundgarden song titled outshined. I would also suggest on these two you react to the official videos. You can thank me later !! Anyway you got a new sub here thanks
No disrespect, but Lateralus is from the album Lateralus… loved the reaction. You got to check out any of these Tool songs next: • Third Eye • Parabol/Parabola (played together) • Descending • Bottom • No Quarter (Led Zeppelin cover)
I don’t know if it’s underground but there is an awesome video of Maynard throwing a drunken idiot fan who came on stage into a tear naked choke while not missing a beat singing the song that’s pretty awesome lol
Tool got dude cheesin again lol. I started listening to them in the late 90s and I still pick up new things when I listen to them. Complex in their simplicity. They’re a musicians band. They get wild with it. Check out ‘The Patient’ next. It’s my favorite song. It’s simple, but the composition is so good.
Did you notice halfway through the verses he's playing straight 16ths with the hi-hat foot and keeping a completely different rhythm with the bass drum and hands?
I use to listen to the whole album anemia and lateralus high af in the dark eyes closed and just let it take me on the journey. They are eye opening if you will.
Tool and Radiohead are like the Ying and Yang of greatness to me. Tool's harder and more metal and Radiohead's more like creating a emotional landscape and atmosphere. They are both doing interesting things musically and don't really follow any kind of script. They both change up a lot and keep it fresh and they both have great vocalists too. You could spend a very long time just doing those two bands and have a great channel. I truly feel blessed to be around for this great music it's like a throwback from the late 60s through the 70s just consistent great music that unfortunately takes years to create. Whenever people say there's no great music anymore, especially musicians, I turn them on to Tool and Radiohead if they're not familiar with them already and if they are then they got themselves beat.
The best band of my lifetime. Get ready for the ride, their entire discography is flawless! Just start from the beginning. This is the song Lateralus from the album Lateralus (Try to watch the videos straight from the Tool page, this is not one of them)#Toolforever 😊
I'm just gonna say Stinkfist. Just because, when I was 17, it's THE song that got me into them. One of their shortest songs but brutal in its honesty. This song lead me to buy the Aenima album in 96 and I still believe they're one of the best bands ever.
Tool and Pink Floyd are my favorite bands. Both are a journey and experience with well thought out songs and masterful lyrics. Rush gets the Consolation prize.
Black then white are all I see in my infancy Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me Lets me see As below, so above and beyond, I imagine Drawn beyond the lines of reason Push the envelope, watch it bend Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines Black then white are all I see in my infancy Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me Lets me see There is so much more And beckons me to look through to these infinite possibilities As below, so above and beyond, I imagine Drawn outside the lines of reason Push the envelope, watch it bend Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind Withering my intuition leaving opportunities behind Feed my will to feel this moment Urging me to cross the line Reaching out to embrace the random Reaching out to embrace whatever may come I embrace my desire to I embrace my desire to Feel the rhythm, to feel connected Enough to step aside and weep like a widow To feel inspired To fathom the power To witness the beauty To bathe in the fountain To swing on the spiral To swing on the spiral to Swing on the spiral Of our divinity And still be a human With my feet upon the ground I lose myself Between the sounds and open wide to suck it in I feel it move across my skin I'm reaching up and reaching out I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me What ever will bewilder me And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been Spiral out, keep going Spiral out, keep going Spiral out, keep going Spiral out, keep going
you are headed down a DEEP hole, try to use the official music videos because people muck the experience up with the visuals..have lyrics on standby so you know wtf hes even saying because its very complex music
I would even argue, for a reaction video, ignore the highly artistic official videos bc the art is distracting. I would suggest just lyrics videos…for first timers.
Love that you are enjoying Tool, but for the love of everything that is good in life, stop with the fucking “woooooooooo’s” through the whole goddamn song
Dig deeper into the intricacies of this song that is based on the Fibonacci Sequence. Maynard’s lyrics from the start are set to the Fibonacci Sequence in the syllables. He also comes in at roughly 1.61 minutes into the song, which is the Golden Ratio. Time signatures alternate in measures of 9/8, 8/8, and 7/8. 987 a number in the Fibonacci Sequence as well. It just gets deeper from there. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lateralus_(song)#:~:text=It%20began%20linking%20up%20to,in%20my%20infancy%20(5).
This dude was high AF and just couldn't handle watching this visual 😂
Man I love watching people hear this Tool song for the 1st time 🖤🤤it’s just soooo good
I've watched about 30 of them. Always makes me smile when I see their eyes trying to wrap their heads around it.
This dude be going for a “ride”
I get so much joy seeing people enjoy Tool for the first time. As a drummer I can imagine your mind is being blown.

They’re the truth man. My favorite band of all time and it’s not close.
Since you are a drummer you should check out the drum cam of Danny playing Pneuma. You would get a kick out of that 100
Maybe do audio 1st, then drum cam. The song is only 13-ish minutes. So - there is almost 30 minutes if you don’t speak. As a Tool fan - we would enjoy every second of it.
Yes 100% you gotta check that out!
Welcome to the tool family bro
Shhhh..... Wooooooo!!!! Oh my God! Oooooooohhhhhhh shit, oooooooooo, whoooooa, wooooo, oooooooooooooooooooooooo, oh my God, oh, shooo, oooooooo, wooooooooooo, wooooooooooo, oh my God, oooooooooooooowwww, oooh man, oooooh man, oh. Shooooooooooo, woooooooooooooooooo, whoooooooooooo, ooooooooooo, wooooooooooo.
... to quote Ric Flair.
My phone asked if I wanted this comment translated to english!! Lol!!
YT offered to translate that into English 😂
Golden ratio in the verses is awesome!
Lateralus is a title track. Aenima is the previous album.
Surprised no one mentioned The Fibonacci Sequence with this song.
We different 👽🌀✨
The Fibonacci sequence is an infinite sequence that starts with 0 and 1 and continues in such a way that each number is the sum of the previous two numbers.
Tool is always amazing 😊
Spiral out 🧿
As a tool fan, you feel like you know something the rest of the world doesn't.
Nicely put brother
Indeed
I also really like Tool, but the arrogance and superiority complex some fans have is mind-boggling to me. No wonder Maynard hates these kind of fans...
@@Selke2845 I get that.
I first saw them live in 1993. I have thought that way for decades. Seen them for more times since 🌀🌀🌀
This has been my favorite band since I was 19. I’m 50 now.
If you like this stuff, do me a favor. Check out rage against the machine . I suggest you start with bulls on parade. I’d also love to see a reaction to soundgarden song titled outshined. JIMMY, H, INVINCIBLE, 4°, PNEUMA, and on and on. Enjoy your Tool journey!
46 & 2 is deep in the brain… 😊
My band since '93 GD I love this band so much❤ Parabol/Parabola together, NOpause between😊
You have the "Eye of Horace" on your hand it appears. That's an official TOOL imagery. You were meant to hear this shit.
Welcome to the Tool Army🌀 🔧
Best band of the last 30+ years.
Tool gets down to your vertebrae!! And just takes over
.. lol
This is one of those journey tunes and albums (all of them are).
They have a huge amount of amazing songs. But this one hits all my buttons.
No disrespect, but Lateralus is from the album Lateralus… loved the reaction. You got to check out any of these Tool songs next:
• Third Eye
• Parabol/Parabola (played together)
• Descending
• Bottom
• No Quarter (Led Zeppelin cover)
Descending... if a favorite Tool song was possible, ya, Descending. The lyrics. 🌀
🎉
I don’t know if it’s underground but there is an awesome video of Maynard throwing a drunken idiot fan who came on stage into a tear naked choke while not missing a beat singing the song that’s pretty awesome lol
Every Tool song is separate journey
Do the Salival Live 3rd Eye video. Best live TOOL performance video on the internet.

Gen X-Files loves Tool and your channel my friend.
Yup 🎉that's a reaction 😊
It’s off the Lateralus album. It’s the title track
Did you notice halfway through the verses he's playing straight 16ths with the hi-hat foot and keeping a completely different rhythm with the bass drum and hands?
I am so jealous of anyone who gets to hear Tool for first time. 🫥😵💫😎🤫😈
You just missed a Tool tour. It was great.
I use to listen to the whole album anemia and lateralus high af in the dark eyes closed and just let it take me on the journey. They are eye opening if you will.

Trippy video. Gives me acid flashbacks 😅
Listen to Descending from their Fear Inoculum album.
Tool is #1 w/out a 2nd
The song is off the album by same name Lateralus
Its Tool Time 😂
My man 👊🏽
Tool and Pink Floyd are my favorite bands. Both are a journey and experience with well thought out songs and masterful lyrics. Rush gets the Consolation prize.
Salival please 🙏
Check out Swamp Song off their first album
Great song
You have to watch Maynard’s best screams. On UA-cam. It’ll explain why he’s such a great front man.
Check out their song The Pot
Do live Sober from 93, The Grudge, Push It album and Salival versions, Right in Two
Anybody got the link to this animated video?
Tool 4 degrees
Lateralus is on Lateralus lol
Black then white are all I see in my infancy
Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me
Lets me see
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
Drawn beyond the lines of reason
Push the envelope, watch it bend
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines
Black then white are all I see in my infancy
Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me
Lets me see
There is so much more
And beckons me to look through to these infinite possibilities
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
Drawn outside the lines of reason
Push the envelope, watch it bend
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind
Withering my intuition leaving opportunities behind
Feed my will to feel this moment
Urging me to cross the line
Reaching out to embrace the random
Reaching out to embrace whatever may come
I embrace my desire to
I embrace my desire to
Feel the rhythm, to feel connected
Enough to step aside and weep like a widow
To feel inspired
To fathom the power
To witness the beauty
To bathe in the fountain
To swing on the spiral
To swing on the spiral to
Swing on the spiral
Of our divinity
And still be a human
With my feet upon the ground I lose myself
Between the sounds and open wide to suck it in
I feel it move across my skin
I'm reaching up and reaching out
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me
What ever will bewilder me
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been
Spiral out, keep going
Spiral out, keep going
Spiral out, keep going
Spiral out, keep going
Dude, you look just like ray Charles

@@aldotheapache9951 actually i agree with that too, having lyrics on screen with a simple background is always a good one to use
You have watch alot of their concerts? Ok dude
Wrong visuals
Wow I hated those visuals. Made me dizzy. Did the song such a disservice
Love that you are enjoying Tool, but for the love of everything that is good in life, stop with the fucking “woooooooooo’s” through the whole goddamn song
