There is nothing a Tool fan loves more than watching other people appreciate this band and their art.
As for myself I love the spiritual/christianity parallels and contrasts this band includes in their work.
Preach
3 aliens met an octopus and formed Tool.
Spiral Out gents
And welcome to the Tool Army Privates 👊
Haha that's a brilliant description of TOOL, I'll be stealing that if I may 😂
Fear Inoculum is a jumble of Four cum Alien
We're all unbelievably fortunate to be alive at the same time as Danny, Justin, Adam, and Maynard
This channel is going to be a banger, can already tell. TOOL is a rabbit hole worth going down.
I'm already looking forward to more Tool reactions from you - they've got so much great music to check out.
Don't miss the live drum cam of Pneuma, it's fantastic.
Will do!
If you want a solid Jesus Christ Superstar vibe, listen to 46 & 2 by TOOL. I subscribed for your TOOL journal, let’s go!!! 🙌🏽
And they sound as good, if not better live.
Best band past, present, and dare i say future, I love them❤❤❤
Four masterful musicians❤
Would love to see more Tool reactions! Spiral out fellas 🌀
Great video! Can't wait for more Tool reactions
More to come!
I see you on every Tool reaction I watch lol 😅
@@jakefromstatefarm1405 lmao, yup.... I might have an addiction to tool reactions
This was superb. Please do more Tool! I have no doubt the tool army will turn up for this. I'll spread the word. We love going on this journey with the right people and you guys are those.
Echoed.
Here!!
Appreciate it, thank you!
I'm so happy I joined the party early. Now my introverted self can just hunker down in a corner behind a potted plant and enjoy the enjoyment. Thank you for hosting, gentlemen. 🙇
Tool Army Unite! ❤️🌀
With Tool it is pretty much about the build up then the climax. They take you for a mental trip, highs and lows. See them in concert if you ever get the chance.
I saw Tool last spring in Dayton and it was probably one of the best performances I've seen in years. I'll be going to the Sessanta tour in two days in Michigan. It's a celebration of Maynard's 60th birthday. You should check out his other two bands. A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. You won't be sorry.
What did you think of the Sessanta show?
I envy you guys in the states I’m in New Zealand have seen them 3 times here , mind blowing every time
@@slowprodigy it was such a great show. Sound was perfect everything ran smoothly. It was the first time I'd seen any of these bands and I'm kicking myself for not seeing them sooner.
They don't even use a backing track when they perform live and they crush every song
Best
Band
EVER!!!!!!!!!
SPIRAL OUT.......
KEEP GOING!!!!!!!
I like that you did Intension first. There aren’t many reactions to it. All fans say this about their favorite bands, but Tool has so many amazing songs. They cover different themes and topics. They all have their own sound despite all sounding like Tool. I’m here for the ride if you keep reacting to them.
I gotta agree to this statement, intension should go with Right in Two, just like parabol/parabola, wings/10000 Days, and disposition/reflection/triad.
My feed sent me to your "The Pot" reaction, and I paused it shortly into it b/c I recognized that you two had an appreciation for music and wanted to start at the beginning of your Tool reactions, which finds me here. I normally recommend The Pot as the first, but after hearing your comments and reaction to this one, I think it may have been a wise spot to start. It was mentioned by your camera man to just enjoy and don't worry about the meaning of the lyrics. That is an approach to tool for sure. I didn't have the internet when I was first listening to tool and was forced to take that approach. However, be aware that the lead singer Maynard James Keenan has phenomenal lyrics with double and triple meanings. Most Tool songs are written to be interpreted by the listener (even when you know the lyrics), but please consider viewing the lyrics or having a lyric video you all can watch off screen from us so that you know what's being said. That will become more relevant as you dip into the more busy songs they have. Now for your The Pot reaction.........
welcome to the rabbit hole gentleman
Welcome, we've been waiting for you. Next may I suggest The Pot for a more energetic flavor of Tool. Work your way up to Pneuma, enjoy the journey
I can confirm, that is the next one we listened to :D
Tool Army present & accounted for!
Let the music take you for a ride & just spiral out & keep going!
❤️🌀
Tool is a "Tool" for spiritual self discovery. Welcome to the Tool army! Love your reactions!
The best band of my lifetime! Have you watched "Pneuma", Vic Firth cameras? You will be blown away! #DannyCareyforever#MaynardJamesKeenanforever#JustinChancellorforever#AdamJonesforever
Great reaction! More Tool reactions please!
For some short lore of the band the lead singer is Maynard James Keenan who is now 60 from Ohio before moving to LA in the late 1980s to become an actor. After that not working out he took part in a few Music projects before meeting Adam Jones. Adam Jones who is the lead guitar and is from Illinois and is currently 59, Adam moved to LA to be a movie special effects artist before forming Tool with Maynard in 1991. Prior to officially forming they added the drummer Danny Carey who was a friend and Neighbor to Maynard. Short story is that he covered as their drummer as they looked for one, eventually he practiced so much with them he decided to join. He is turning 63 soon and is from Kansas and is tall at 6’5”. Next was Paul D’Amour who was Tools first bassist who was from LA and wrote the bass lines for their 1st album Undetow and most of their second album AEnima before leaving the band in 1995. The last member and personally my favorite is Justin Chancellor who joined in 1995 and was featured on their 2nd album from 1996. Justin was in the British rock band Peach before joining Tool and is the youngest at 52 as well as he is from London, England. Their albums are 72828 LP (1991), Opiate EP (1992), Undertow (1993), AEnima (1996), Lateralus (2001), 10,000 Days (2006), Fear Inoculum (2019), They have also won 4 Grammies!
I knew I would see you here lol
@@jakefromstatefarm1405Tool reactions is a real addiction for me. 😂
@@Gideonite same
Maynard specifically wants his voice treated like an instrument. He is NOT a front man or a "lead" singer. I really love your interaction with this music. There are layers for those that want it some people only care about the lyrics some love the bass and so on. I hear nuances every time I listen. Songs I heard 20 years ago have new meaning for me today. THAT is great art.
Aw, let it fade... I need the gentle come down after that storm. 😇
Tidbit. They came up with the name "Tool" for fans to use their music as a tool--to be used to get whatever spiritual or emotional need.
Or that they get a kick out of watching Tool fans in Tool t-shirts showing off they're a bunch of "tools." 😆 Looking forward to the next. Hope you get to "Eulogy."
Noted ;D
More Tool!! I recommend Lateralus!
Boys, I loved all of that, the three of you converse really well on camera. Tool is the greatest band of all time. Every track is a message in itself. Please do more, I think you would appreciate H. Thanks for this, I'm subscribed. Spiral out, brothers 🌀
"Evil" Joe Baressi was their producer, engineer and mixer for this and their following album, thirteen years later
Guy pulls out the penjamin when Right In Two comes on. So relatable.
Bravo guys! That was fun! Excited to see what you do next. My hope is Descending next…
Descending is their best example of “symphonic” to me. So moving
It's in the pipeline
Tool at last.. More, please
It's not three musicians. It's four.
By saying three 'musicians' he is trying to say instrumental musicians whereas Maynard us purely vocals (and the occasional megaphone is suppose). He could be a bit clearer in what he is trying to express as they are certainly all musicians, but I would give him a pass as I thought it was clear what he was getting at when he described the songwriting process.
They mean 3 musicians plus a singer
Absolute best band and every album is amazing and different. Deep, deep band lyrically.
Right in Two is my favorite song on this album.. Great vocal melodies and the rest of my favorite of course the music.. Genius..
And the lyric in this song so beautiful
Great Reaction! I'd love to see more Tool reactions.
I got to see tool live this year and they do sound just as good live as they do on their albums and the amount of lights lasers and visuals and fog is the most amazing thing i have ever seen
New sub. Don't know who's who yet, but the gentleman on your left is spot on about the music being a score, but it's absolutely for their live shows 100%. They do a great job choreographing their live concerts with the music, exactly like a movie score IMO.
My favorite tune on this album...classic
Hi from across the pond!
For me, the comparison to Pink Floyd was more of how both bands don't care what traditional radio structure says songs should conform to. They tell stories and take whatever musical path is needed to take the listener on that journey. Tool is a fun journey. Great reaction!
My only tip, have the lyrics in front of you as you listen. Some musicians use words to fill beats and space. Once in a while, a gifted craftsman arrives and uses words to paint emotions into your soul.
Enjoy... Spiral out
A reaction to the live version from "Push it" would be awesome.
Great reaction really enjoyed your guys's perspective
Tool Army is here
Yes!
That’s some straight-up Mortal Kombat near the end of the song. Thanks for listening!
22:51 - when you easily can recognize someone attended to a TOOL concert.. by just listening how he describes some drummer :)
please do more TOOL guys.. spiral out !!
The drummer was born in 1961
Listen to all albums in order, do like 3-4 songs at a time. It’s best way to listen cause you’ll hear the evolution and there’s no bad songs.
More Tool! For all us new subscribers!
I subbed for the Tool. Spiral out, keep going. 💨🥦🌀😎
Please do more TOOL! I loved the video. It's funny that you started with my current favorite song, Right in Two. That often changes from day to day/ week to week. Try Decending next. Always gets me.
oh please! Do PNEUMA! the studio version!
Awesome, glad to hear you’ll be doing more!!
This is pure magic boys
Subscribed for more Tool !
TOOL Army is going to love these guy… I’d recommend the studio version of Pneuma followed by the Danny Carey drum cam Pneuma, love to see what they think
Thank you for the kind words. Pneuma will be done back to back!
Welcome to the rabbit hole. Buckle up and enjoy the ride. You're going to really enjoy the journey. Go watch Danny Carry live.
Eagle hat guy booped his head I'm content 👍😁 please please more TOOL💗
More Tool = more subs. 🌀🌀🌀
Please fall in love with Maynard's genius. You will love his other two bands. I'm 62 in CA, where these geniuses are from. Tool was WAY ahead of their time in the 90s and continues to be. Elite composers and musicians. Their last album is a masterpiece. Don't know of a better engineered album. New sub here...what music genres do each of you enjoy most?
checkin in... 46 and 2 next then , vicarious ,
You have a new subscriber
Start from the beginning with this band
Great reactions! Tip: never watch the videos, except the live Sober Reading Festival and the drum cam Pneuma video. Having a lyric video or up separate would be helpful, but only to reference.. if you get caught up reading them you may miss out on the rest, but the lyrics are very important. If I may, I suggest listening order to be The Pot, Lateralus, Sober live, Pneuma audio-then Pneuma drum cam!
After those, and if inclined, I'd suggest listening to their albums in order.. it's an amazing journey! From anger thru enlightenment, to inner peace ❤
Excellent. Subbed.
Gentlemen, this is a definite sub from me! I enjoy your format and honest assessment.
Thank you and welcome! We're not planning to be a reaction channel but we will continue with Tool and some others.
Subscribing for going on the Tool Journey with y’all! 🎶😎
I would say do not snooze on Maynard's lyrics, they are generally pretty deep and worth getting into. Yes, his voice is like an instrument coordinating with the rest of the band but the lyrics are also saying something meaningful. Enjoy your journey into Tool and others, I'll be checking in.
🤘🏻🌀
Subbed for more Tool please
Oh man, I can’t wait for the next review! Y’all are in for some kinda trippin!
🤘🤘🤘🤘🌀spiral out guys🌀
subbed 🤘👍. jesus christ superstar nice. tool is epic
More Tooooool. Pneuma drum cam
Subscribed for more Tool! Spiral out my friends!!
Don't minimize the lyrics tho... Maynard's lyricism is unmatched
Lads you owe it to yourself to go watch them live!
Check out the Danny Carey Drum Cam for Pneuma.
Say they have 3 musicians again…I dare you! JK, welcome to tool. The best band ever.
Another prick in the wall! 😂 Maynard would approve 😆
Actually, the lyrics are important. You should have the lyrics with u when reacting to their songs. IMO
Watch Tool's Pneuma drum cam video but don't watch any of their music videos as they distract from the music. Other great songs
Lateralus (based of Fibanacci sequence)
46 & 2
Vicarious
Jambi
Subscribed. Great performance and reaction! I like your channel. If you would like to explore more and expand your channel, may I suggest a reaction to BABYMETAL. They are unique and have a worldwide fan base (The One). Their music has a positive and uplifting message. They have a fun and awesome performance:
BABYMETAL - PA PA YA!! (feat. F.HERO) (OFFICIAL)
Or:
MAYA【Live Blu-ray/DVD「BABYMETAL BEGINS - THE OTHER ONE -」"BLACK NIGHT"】
Or to showcase the lead singer’s amazing voice:
BABYMETAL - Monochrome - Piano ver. / THE FIRST TAKE 🖖 ❤
I've seen people at a wake more animated than these 2.during the song.
There was a wake going on just off camera. If you look closely at the brick wall you can see the coffin reflection.
😂
of the all the tracks in catalog... you chose the most dense and complicated "Floyd" style songs enlongated and not to the point for quite a run. Next go-round go Lateralus, or even 10,000 days.
I don’t care what political leanings are, “monkey killing monkey killing monkey over pieces of the ground” is a little bit on the nose.
what an odd choice for a first listen ever lol some of their more intricate writings
😑
Are these guys even awake it's a reaction video how about react!?
Lol, yall looked bored af.
I'm here for the TOOL! Great stuff! 🖤🤘🏾🖖🏿
YOU NEED TO GO DOWN THE TOOL RABBIT HOLE. WE WILL SHOW UP FOR EVERY TOOL REACTION.
Seriously. Tool grows reaction channels like nothing else.
...............tool army est.1993............tool army est.1993...............tool army est.1993...............tool army est.1993.............
Until Peart's passing a few years ago, I would have said the three greatest living drummers are Neil Peart, Danny Carey, and Stewart Copeland. The video of Danny Carey performing live (drumcam) from a couple years ago is a MUST watch.
