Hey man! id like to recomend a song, from The Doors When The Musics Over live, great song man i think youll like it, The Doors have a lot of great songs and when they were on live Morrison was WILD, theres a concert called The Doors Are Open which is from their Europe tour its a live at the Roundhouse, i think that was their best performance ever, id would be cool to see you reaction to some live performances too! Their Dystopia album has a lot of songs that sound like are from today’s headlines with great lyrics too. Most notably… Washington Is Next Post American World The Threat is Real On most recent album, We’ll Be Back is a great song about war. It gets you moving too. Just a good we about to kick some ass thrash song like back in the day. Faster and grittier… and that’s after Dave beat throat cancer and had neck surgery from 40 yrs of head banging!

The band put out their first record in 1986, with George Clinton sharing production duties. They are disciples of Uncle George / Funkadelic / Parliament as well as punk rock and everything in between. This album is my absolute favourite, Mothers Milk was the previous album that is also a huge recommendation.

Every Zappa piece is different and except for the improvised guitar solos (and a few other improvisations) everything is strictly composed and produced by Frank. There were 60+ album released during his lifetime and even more after 93. Check something complex, like Zomby Woof or the Yellow snow suite from the mid 70s or some jazz-ish piece from the Hot Rat-album from 1969 like Willie the pimp or Peaches en regalia! Diversity!

Comment 2 - Frank wasn't totally straight edge - no "recreational drugs" and he seldom drank, but he smoked like a chimney ("tobacco is my favourite vegetable") and consumed excessive amounts of coffee (like many workaholics).

He should have used the Bongo Fury version, which not only has a longer and crazier solo, but the "poem" at the beginning which is missing from the "live" version (actually the album version is live, but with studio additions).

The repetition is 🔥 It really drives the message home

I was in junior high when this album came out, and it was one of the first tapes I ever bought. Used to giggle every time I heard him sing the “masturbating with a magazine”.

The idea for this song came from one of the longest Stephen King novels ever written… the Stand… I’ve read it twice

The song that started it all… it’s the reason the parental advisory sticker is on a lot of albums after the 80s..😂😂😂 And I think it started what’s called the filthy 15 list… True story, Prince actually has three songs on that list. God, I miss that crazy little boy.

it's so awesome you found these guys. this record is essentially like this song, you'll like the whole thing. they have a record they did with a different rapper on each track; heavy rhyme expeerience; gang starr's song might've been the coolest; pharcyde's rapping was best.
