- Опубліковано 15 сер 2020
- Paul Schmitt AKA The Professor shows us how skateboards are really made! He also brought some 1 of 1 skateboards that have never been tested before! We're so stoked that PS Stix is making our very own Braille Skateboards!

I got so into the guy talking that I just totally forgot about me wanting to see skateboards breaking
He is pretty amazing
same
Ya like jazz?
Taconite I do, actually
Thanks for reminding me😭
The professor is a legend
Yes dude 😂
He's a cool dude
@@Coleman_H yup
😂😂
Right you know
I remember Schmitt Stix from back in the 80's. Paul Schmitt is a pioneer in the skateboard industry. Excellent video.
He really is amazing
Honestly, I came in the comments because I thought the Dr was A Kyro but with a video filter effect.
@@axr42 I was just thinking he _did_ kinda have Aaron's energy about teaching skateboarding just more mature.
A pioneer who puts kittens cuddling into a machine and cuts them all at once lmao
Yeah I remember the graphic with the saw blades , wasn't that one of his?
I miss those days man, going into the skate shop with a wall of boards that all had their own character. Shapes and killer graphics , you chose a board because you loved the pro who it was built for.
I'll never forget getting my Natas complete on Christmas morning I think it was 1988 ish
This dude needs to be a regular guest from now on. He is so passionate and insightful. Those boards are sick and he vibes well with the crew!
Check out his interview on the nine club, he's super interesting and loves sharing information about Skateboarding and its history.
He needs his own show
The moment when Gabe got caught “WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO THAT MAPLE” lol
😂😂😂😂
LMAO
That was gold
Felt like they were really in class lol
“It’s just a single piece 🤕
I WANT TO SEE THE PROFESSOR INSPECT SOME OF THE BOARDS ON THE WALLS
Paul Schmitt is a treasure to the culture of skateboarding. He has a multi-hour interview on the nine club too.
This dude needs to be a teacher. The way he like, "acts out" being a tree really helps break down the science into simple understandable terms.
He is a teacher
He makes a great tree
He is. A professor. You dip
@Brown Mamba Why so toxic. Stay calm, he didn´t knew it. I hope you´re not gonna be a teacher or Prof. :)
Ahahaha ahahhaha hahahahahahaha hahaha his name is PROFESSOR Schmitt haha haha you never went to college huh?
I literally have half an hour before I leave to go skate
This is really perfect
Oh my dude againnnnnn
lucky for me its raining
I cant go skating until my mom feels like getting up💀🤦🏼♀️
oof
Dude I was like yo Trevor Wallace watches Braille? Then I’m like oh.
This is one of my most favorite videos you guys have ever made. This was so informational and extremely interesting to learn. Please share this video for people who love the production behind skateboards
Thanks we loved it too. It’s so much more than a board with wheels!
He needs his own TV Show, "Schmidt's Skate Science" internet make it happen!
Yes please yes!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ll take donations
Tv is dead and youtube is accessible, you know what to do!
Dude no joke I could watch hours of this
Ok Twitter, do your thing
This is the collab I never knew I wanted until I saw it.
Today we learned that Aussie Dan is way better at paying attention than Glo and Gabe
Not a high bar to set when Glo thinks trees "exsorb" water lol. They're all excellent at what they do and I love them all, however they might need a bit more time learning grammar and science 🤣
I love the braille team but thats not that hard to believe.
He beat out 2 stoners. Not too hard
@@alexchat3020 you'd think they could at least put their two brain cells together 😂
Australian education vs USA education lol
I wish I could’ve been there 😭
Manuel (Mogely) Herrera sup
Poor Mogely
Even science couldn't stop you from breaking those boards!
Mogelthon, I started watching One Piece, partially because of you haha 👍🏻👍🏻
69 likes;)
Now if this guy was my science teacher I woulda listened. This was great
But nothing he's saying is true. That's probably why it's so entertaining.
@@LarsLarsen77 probably proves your point that I have no memory of this video 😂
Paul Schmitt is just Andy Anderson who travelled back from the future
😂
Lol the skate Rick n Morty !
Please make them meet, that would be the ultimate crossover episode!
Ha
I never thought Professor would be on Braille
Ive been binging braille recently. Guess I gotta add this to the list
Paul is a genius this was one of the best videos and informative I've ever seen the way he explains things so you understand is unbelievable..
Bruh I love how glow is stepping up and being in front of the camera more. Honestly he's my favorite personality bro like glow could just be the channel and I'd still watch just cuz he always put me in such a better mood than I was before I watched the vids. He just reminds me to never stress and keep it cool, cuz persistence and patience is everything. Now this goes without saying that I've watch glow "glow up" dude wasn't the most skilled when I first started watching y'all like a year ago. Now glow is the top contender against Mog, which makes me really believe I can become a skilled skater as well. Thank you braille and glow keep being you please you're the best.
It's one thing to understand the concepts but to be able to present it so cleanly is on another level. This man is awesome to watch.
I like be how he touches on sustainability and how wood is being harvested. It's all about keeping this island we live on in space habitable for the future skateboarder's!
this was actually so interesting, I appreciate this. thank you Braille 👏🏻
17:53 we all came here for this: most genuinely wholesome laugh in existence
This guy seems like he’s given this lesson to 1000 elementary school assemblies. Sometimes I’m beat about the head, neck and chest area with Braille’s demographics.
would you say he's in his Element?
Quite possibly the best advert for a skateboard deck I have ever seen. Informative, educational and entertaining. The prof is a dude, and I want to skate his decks. Nice job Braille.
Greetz from UK.
He’s the man. Would have been smart of us to actually have them available for sale on our website when this video went up. Hahahaha, whoops
it’s like watching your grandpa explain how to fix something. amazing
That is such a great analogy.
I'm in my 30s and this guy has been pushing skating before the internet. Love this guy.
awesome unique instructive video ! thank you Braille for inviting professor Schmidt !
After watching this video high af, I’m now staring at my board thinking about nanotubes and grain direction.... crazy 🙃
I LOVE his passion for teaching and skateboarding! I learned so much from this!
I love how passionate this man is about building skateboards and making it better for us🙏🙏🙏
This was an AMAZING episode. Its like a podcast of my dreams. A skate scientist explaining the one tool every skater needs.
Wow PS Stix making Braille decks is AMAZING news! Those samples looked incredibly clean. Congrats on the collaboration! I will have to buy one for my collection.
Ive been wanting morepaul schmidt since his nine club episode. This is the kinda content braille should be making more of!
I’ve worked at a handful of different factories, either steel products, or printing. None of the couple hundred quality meetings were ever this detailed and in depth about their material. I learned a lot from this video
I hope everybody that reads this has a great day and is safe and healthy
Shut up
WispHD it’s a bot read they name
@@buck50782 what?
I have Corona
I have Corona
Fantastic video! Had a blast learning about all the craftsmanship behind the craft. Thanks for always being awesome, and making awesome videos. You guys inspired my friend and I to start skating while deployed to UAE, and we've been having a blast ever since! Stay Cool!
All I can think about when he is saying "the willingness to try" is the Christmas tree getting sent through the roof.... rofl. Love you guys, this was an awesome video.
This is crazy,I just looked him up last night cuz I learned how to skate on a Schmitt stix and I want another. This brought joy to my heart
Alright, this became one of my favourite videos on this channel. I had no idea that this much thought was put into each board. I just ride and destroy them but now I see them in a whole other light. Also Paul is amazing, you just have to listen to this man and you'll understand everything.
Love the info and how humble you boyz are, much love from Australia 🤟🏼 keep it up 💯
Absolutely amazing video for skateboarding. It’s a must see for everyone that comes to this channel.
This is top teir one of Braille's best video by far. I'm so invested now.
This was so entertaining and informative. I love the professor, he's a fantastic teacher!
He really is! Glad you enjoyed it!
This guy is a great teacher. Makes scientific principles very relatable, casual and fun while still extremely informative
I loved this so much. Way to educate Braille.
This was honestly one of the coolest most interesting things I’ve watched in a while
Braille partnering with The Professor is such a no brainer! I still have my create-a-skate deck hanging up that I made at Woodward back in 2011. Can't believe that was 10 years ago!
"Mother Nature has it all figured out, we just get to use it..."
;)
Great video. Loved it. Then again, I am a teacher. These kind of videos fascinate me.
This was an amazing watch. This guy is a wealth of knowledge
This was just pure awesome! I mean, the science of skateboards I pretty much have down. But seeing that sheer excitement the Professor has over a pice of bent, laminated maple is just thrilling! That it RAW passion, right there!
This is so awesome and I learned a ton today!!
This is so cool, thanks Braille!!!!!
THIS guy is amazing!!! Braille needs to have professionals like this more often, it’d be hard to find someone as detailed and thorough as this dude tho honestly lol
That guy is literally an older Arron Kyro with a beard😂
I love this! I was thinking about getting some equipment to make my own decks at one point, would still like to try it someday. I love seeing what goes into the process!
This dude is a legend, I could listen to him talk about skateboards for hours
Thanks for this video. Working on making my own board and knowing how much straight grain vs cross grain will help a lot. Thanks Professor and Braille.
Sizlarga raxmat o'zimga kerakli narsalarni bilib oldim shu braille skateboarding kanaliga omad 👍👍👍
The amount of engineering that went into creating the modern skateboard over the years is fascinating. Great video.
Holy snap I'm so stoked to know that I've ridden Paul Schmitt boards before!! that PS number though! brill!
The world needs more people like this dude. Loved this vid!
This was by far the most interesting video on this channel...more of this world be amazing
I love this video! I learned a bunch of things that I probably wouldn't have otherwise. Thank you!
The knowledge of this man is amazing one of braile’s best episodes
I’ve come back to this one many times now. Still a fun watch!
This was a great video! Very educational!
This was the best video you've ever made.
Now I need a video of Paul and Rodney in a room just talking.
I just got my boards on Wednesday. Thank you everyone who helped make them. Keep skating.
Great to hear! Thanks for the support, may you land many kick flips on it.
How can I order one now?
Great video I loved every minute of it.
Hey braille. I have done a class at my high school to build full size skateboards, I now have my own logo on my skateboard and I learned so much doing it!
I'm so glad they got someone with there same energy and there becoming there own brand more and more I would literally cry if I get the chance to meet them and for them to teach me because I'm still new and definitely going to invest in some of there stuff probably going to get some new wheels for my old bored that I'm learning on
This was awesome and very informative, guys. Thank you! 😊✌️
This is an awesome video! Very cool!
will always appreciate what aaron did for me, he’s what got me into skating, i can ollie, nollie, manny, nose manny, and i’m working on shuvits and pop shuvits
How come as soon as I graduate from highschool I start to get interested in stuff? I did nothing in school and now I feel like doing a math equation
Imagine if all teachers were passionate like this man.
E=mc7.25
Fundamentally doing something because you have to and doing something because you want to are wayyyy different
That’s because a lot of teachers just stick around to get a paycheck like any other job. That and most of the garbage you learn in school isn’t interesting or applicable to your every day life whatsoever.
I learned more today than I will from online learning 😂
This was an awesome informative video. New video format? "Skate Science"?
Possibly!
This is such an amazing video. As a biologist I always loved the science experiments Braille does but this has got to take the cake. That and the school for youth is phenomenal, anything to attract the interest of youth is always the seller. Grow the sport, grow the education!
What a great video! Man lots of facts! That natural wood grain BRAILLE board is 🔥🔥🔥!
I literally learned so much. Thank u
I'm a full year late, but this is honestly the most entertaining and educational skate related video I've ever seen
Love the enthusiasm. Dude lives for engineering skateboards 🤙🏻
by far one of your coolest videos
This is one of the best videos on this channel
This guy is awesome. Should have him back again someday.
I love your guys videos so much I swear❤️❤️
This guy says right Sooo much, I do appreciate it though, I appreciate that a lot of people are gonna learn from this video
Would love to learn more about all these unbreakables like the powell flight or santa cruz vx
Loving this video so far, very jnteresting!!
"Energy always takes the path of least resistance!"
"WOOOOOOOO!"
Mind blown.. really interesting vid.. more of this braille
awesome video! thanks from southern Germany
Still have my 2 Chris Miller boards,Saw Blade and the Yard Stick.
All have never warped.
Paul your a genius!
Okay this is awesome guys. Great work.
out of the few hundred people I have asked at the Lakeland Skate park, only a handful know of the Professor. I skate one of his boards, and everyone loves it.
Excellent video!
this video is amazing. I want to hug paul.
