carlos gets real shy when around skaters he respects/better then him in his techy ways. he is too humbled most of the time. he was like a kid meeting a pro skater...
in over 20 years of skating with 12 years of those skating 12 hours a day. i never really saw a need for a helmet? if you crack your head skateboarding just quit. its not meant for you at that point in time. if you are skating a 20 foot vert then yeah, you can fall 20 feet onto your head. but most times you wont fall on your head. its pretty hard for that to happen. and helmets actually cause more injury's then they stop. which is the predominate reason skaters dont wear them . ive gotten a lot of neck injurys from mandatory helmet parks. but when you rent it out for the night at the lock in skate sessions nobody ever gets hurt?
@@dbspaceoditty "if you crack your head skateboarding just quit". Yeah, I guess you don't have another option either, since you might end up being a vegetable in bed the rest of your life.

So, I only recently found out about Andy Anderson and I have to say I am so impressed not only with his skill, his personality, but as you guys say, his creativity and just...just the amount of thought he put into signing that board. I just love him.
#notificationsquad. Skating has literally saved my life. It got me out of a gang and i actually ended up finding my wife because of skating. Love you guys and go skate!!
pain player that's awesome! Go you, dude! BMX saved my life, in a bunch of ways, from getting in shape after being fat enough to have minor heart attacks as a teenager, to running away from people who were legit trying to kill me, to helping me with my depression, so it's great to hear about doing stunts in the streets saving someone else, too.
anderson rips because he's an individual and he wears a helmet despite all the lame peer pressure that exists in skateboarding. it's no secret at this point that you probably won't make it into the pages of thrasher if you wear a helmet. personal safety just isn't aligned with the thrasher brand, etc.
N Voss their slogan at one point was along the lines of "keeping kids jumping off shit". At that point, any expectations of promoting saftey fly out the window faster than a fat guy on a mega ramp.
let's also not forget that most board companies don't provide health insurance to riders. that basically means that as a pro you're kind of between a rock and a hard place: if you wear pads, it's pretty much guaranteed that you won't get into the magazines and will have limited sponsorship opportunities. if you don't wear pads, you increase the risk of injury and hence financial ruin. just try asking a pro what it's like being out of the game for 6-8 months. for a lot of riders, it means looking for another career. skateboarding is still a very, very precarious industry, which i find baffling given its global popularity.
His approach is so flowing, learning to control his muscles through freestyle really helped. He has learned the three skate languages and has mental and body connectivity in a way that he adapts as the changes happen. Most people dial in a few tricks from hundreds of attempts, but when they do a series of tricks their brain gets jammed up with linear thinking. This guy is going to inspire so many skaters to up their game. Skateboarding has never been this exciting and watchable for a long time

scrolled through to find that comment. nice!
Dude breaks physics like pro skater 2
Check out Killian martin
Woooooooahyahoooooo i cant describe in words my amount of love for this first Braille-Andy video: too epic. Watching this for the first time sparked my life as a skater at 21.. two years later im dropping into 8 ft bowls preparing to learn vert, and board sliding rails higher than i ever thought id be able to ollie. Thank you for all that you guys have put out here on youtube/ the universe. This energy is snowballing nothing but positivity. Thank you thank you thank you❤️❤️❤️😇❤️❤️❤️🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼✌🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
32 years old been skating since I was 15? Andy is the greatest skateboarder to watch and get hyped to go out and skate.. favorite of a lifetime for sure
Really wanted to see more Carlos with Andy. But Kyro learning some of this was great to see too
carlos gets real shy when around skaters he respects/better then him in his techy ways. he is too humbled most of the time. he was like a kid meeting a pro skater...
Check out the Braille Army Channel for an awesome video with Carlos and Andy
@@brailleskateboarding damn y'all deliver
#notificationsquad I appreciate Anderson wearing his helmet and setting a good example... unlike the Braille Team.... 😂😂
in over 20 years of skating with 12 years of those skating 12 hours a day. i never really saw a need for a helmet? if you crack your head skateboarding just quit. its not meant for you at that point in time.
if you are skating a 20 foot vert then yeah, you can fall 20 feet onto your head.
but most times you wont fall on your head. its pretty hard for that to happen.
and helmets actually cause more injury's then they stop. which is the predominate reason skaters dont wear them .
ive gotten a lot of neck injurys from mandatory helmet parks. but when you rent it out for the night at the lock in skate sessions nobody ever gets hurt?
Yes he is a good person
@@dbspaceoditty "if you crack your head skateboarding just quit". Yeah, I guess you don't have another option either, since you might end up being a vegetable in bed the rest of your life.
dbspaceoditty Idiot
#notificationsquad I love how people always are like "you don't need a helmet because *insert bullshit*" I don't use one because it is mildly annoying but mostly because it doesn't look as cool.
Fuck guys! You can make stupid shit, but OWN IT. If you don't, u are just an ashole.
Love that he said you need to be fully tense with your body yo keep the balance and the flow, when most people tends to fail because they think smoothness is relaxation and flow and thats why they keep failing. Your body is moving and using real energy, is not a beach trip.
Im so happg you guys brought andy into the warehouse, hes one of my favorite skaters and i always wanted to see andy and carlos play a game of skate
christian alarcon YESSSS
Anything counts
Andy Anderson knows more about skateboarding than Google 🤟🤓
I have a scooter and have been wanting to start skateboarding for a while. This channel has been a part of the inspiration for that. Thank you so much
Awesome!
Andy just rips it apart quite possibly the best there is at the moment he's just a pleasure to watch as Igrew up on freestyle love it just love it .🇦🇺✌️
Bring back today i learned, make Aaron learn impossible and front foot impossible!
Best lesson the Braille guys can learn from him is wear a lid
Everytime I watch a video I can barley here whats going on so I turn up the volume. Then Gabe screams WhoooOOOOOOOAAAAaaaaOOOOOaoaoOAOOAOAOAOAooooOAOOAOAO into the microphone and blows out my ear drums.
same lol I'm always adjusting it and I never use headphones
the worst is when he does it for absolutely no reason, i swear hes on the spectrum
#gabesabitch
. tag that he loves it
it really does suck have to lower the almost to nothing.. they need to do something about it, I used to watch so much of their videos and now its a rarity.
images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41x5dt%2BjcUL.jpg *I'm just sayin'...*
My top 3 skaters
1. Rodney Mullen
2. Daewon Song
3. Andy Anderson
Extras
4. Chris Cole
5. Jamie Foy
eric koston too
Hey Braille Skateboarding! Yay Andy Anderson! Braille should have Andy full time! Ride ride ride!
I second that!
Pshh he’s on peralta. He’s an actual pro
No, he would steal the show.
Also he is to expansive for braille
he's way too cool for Braille.
Awesome video guys, this has gotta be one of my all time favourites on your channel.
Bring Andy back soon and have him just show off his arsenal of tricks for like 2 hours.
These weird flat tricks are the only "tricks" I can still do. So crazy how much skating has evolved in just 10-15 years. So nuts, love this dude.
This lad is some kind of alien. Insane levels. Love that he wears a lid and has designed one that looks cool af too.
Andy is amazing. Him and Haslam are on another level.
Stoked to see people who wear helmets too.
I really hope no one skipped to the skating. The whole beginning of this video was such a great watch
This dude looks like a young Dave Mustaine and his board art is reminiscent of Per Welinder. Love the R&D he put in to this
He definitely looks like Dave Mustaine!
I learned more from him than all my classes
anderson rips because he's an individual and he wears a helmet despite all the lame peer pressure that exists in skateboarding. it's no secret at this point that you probably won't make it into the pages of thrasher if you wear a helmet. personal safety just isn't aligned with the thrasher brand, etc.
N Voss their slogan at one point was along the lines of "keeping kids jumping off shit". At that point, any expectations of promoting saftey fly out the window faster than a fat guy on a mega ramp.
Too much is about being a tuff guy. Anderson seems so genuine
let's also not forget that most board companies don't provide health insurance to riders. that basically means that as a pro you're kind of between a rock and a hard place: if you wear pads, it's pretty much guaranteed that you won't get into the magazines and will have limited sponsorship opportunities. if you don't wear pads, you increase the risk of injury and hence financial ruin. just try asking a pro what it's like being out of the game for 6-8 months. for a lot of riders, it means looking for another career. skateboarding is still a very, very precarious industry, which i find baffling given its global popularity.
@@officialclownbusiness7788 That is all up to interpretation. If you get a bad enough injury- you're done with jumping off shit.
Not true in vert skate pics or mega ramp
His approach is so flowing, learning to control his muscles through freestyle really helped. He has learned the three skate languages and has mental and body connectivity in a way that he adapts as the changes happen. Most people dial in a few tricks from hundreds of attempts, but when they do a series of tricks their brain gets jammed up with linear thinking. This guy is going to inspire so many skaters to up their game. Skateboarding has never been this exciting and watchable for a long time
#Notificationsquad Want for my husband! His dad grew up skating in pools in California,he grew up skating spots like kona, the spot and m&J’s and now he’s teaching our kids. What an awesome throwback board but for the future. My son currently has a Kevin Harris board that his grandfather had from the 80’s
So sick!! I'm old and love to hear these types of stories. Keep the old school alive. I'm surprised at how many skaters now a days know nothing about the skaters that came before them
I was that person always commenting to get Andy Anderson up in there and they delivered
Thank you for the suggestion! We loved having him up here, he is such an amazing skater and brought awesome energy to the BH
we both did it together :D
Same, but I was expecting a lot more footage of him just shredding. I felt like they could've utilized this opportunity a lot more.
edit: still a really awesome video
@@JamieDixon the skate everything video they posted today has him in it as well!!
I remember seeing your comment and be intrigued as to who he was. Then I went to watch some of his vids and I was surprised by how talented he is, and also I really like the way he designed his board.
I absolutely love this board! I bought the big version. It is still so light and the shape is amazing.
i havent been on my skateboard for the last 12 years or so but man, that guy brings back the motivation again. Keep going Andy! Youre the Best!
"literally indestructible" huh? Give it to Fetty. #notificationsquad
turdl38 yes
Feed the beast
They did. Fetty drove over a flight board.
A video of a professional teaching a professional. Aaron need sms by Andy Anderson.
#NotificationSquad
Aaron is not a pro, but thats hilarious.
@@Subaruuu12 yeah he is 😂😂😂 hes pro for revive and a few others genius
@@tylersk8s51 Irrelevant companies that nobody in the skate community takes serious. Just cause your friend owns a small skateboard company and puts your name on a board, does not make you pro.
@@Subaruuu12 sorry to get in on this one, a pro is somebody that gets paid for what they do, a pro does not necessarily need a sponsor, youtube has made him pretty well known, with all the views on these videos I'd put money down that the whole braille team are skating professionally at this point! Ok he's not a skate God, but he's doing a lot for the skate community, no need to bash the guy for it!
@@troublingleaf You need a sponsor to be pro, that's just a basic fact. Just because you have a youtube channel about skateboarding that generates money, does not make you a pro skateboarder. They are content creators. Call them youtube pros, thats ok with me.
Hearing Aaron talk about Vancouver is unexpected but dope af. Canadian shredders unite.
That was badass I'm so happy people are still skating like this. I grew up on this stuff and I absolutely love that it's still evolving.
The humility and the talent...my lord
WOW Billy from Stranger Things got some good tricks! he should name a trick the Mind Flayer and use it to win the X - Games.
Yes! We want a trick called the mind flayer! Lmao
Tell the Bones Brigade that Braille just located Animal Chin!
Dan Parks *no..,just no*
Have you seen him?
That's what I grew up skating to"BB" and 411. Now I'm on my Boosted board mostly . Peace!!
I grew up skating those tricks that he does! Amazing to see and now knowing his background with Kevin Harris, it makes perfect sense. His dad is probably a skater too I think. So cool man. What a flashback to see him doing those manuals.
My bro Andy good to see him going places
You guys really need to put some acoustic panels all over that hall
this.
They are in california, that would be way to hot 😂
This video is unreal! Andy has got to be the most creative I have ever seen...you can see his mind just making these things come to be!

New generation of skating and board design. Much love and respect to Andy Anderson
"He's not board sliding. He's falling with style" - Woody (Andy's Favorite Toy)
😂😂💀
I have never met you but I love you
This is may be my favorite Braille video now
Man, that's a sick board. Top of my wish list now!
My boy Andy bringing Rodney's old shit back for the younger generation. I love that he's recycling freestyle, the amount of innovation it brings to his skating just makes him so much more creative in his use of space. Andy Anderson is one to watch for sure.

Yeah he blew my mind
Check out Killian Martin he does one foot manuals and one wheel manuals
Justin A Yeah, but we all have seen people do that
I just learned of Andy Anderson today. great skater; great guy. It's so much more enjoyable to watch someone skate non-demo style, whole getting a sense of their character.
Andy kills it!!! I can’t wait to get one of his boards so sick!!!
This dude shreds
Andy:*turns*
Host: "oh my god, that's crazy!!!"
'Host' lmao shut your fucking mouth kid you probably don't know a thing about skateboarding
😂
Crazy to see he’s out really selling his own helmets and staying positive 24/7. I’m never in the Bay Area I live in Orange County but Aaron, Mogley, JD, Andy, all of you guys are the reason why I still live today. You guys aren’t going to read this but I was just at the lowest part of life where I thought there was nothing left and than I started watching you guys again and keep in mind I’ve been watching you guys since I was 11 and I’m 20 now😂 I just decided to buy a skateboard and life has became so much better thanks to you guys. I have no friends but to me it feels like you guys are my friends and you guys have helped me out mentally and physically with tricks! Thank you guys I hope to meet you guys someday!
Turn on Playback Speed x0.25 then hit this timestamp 19:24
GEEEEETTTTTTT OOOUUTTTT OF TOWWWWWN
WOW a whole switch-up in style, BRING HIM BACK! I could imagine what else he got up his sleeves!
I literally squeaked when I seen Andy in the thumbnail, thumbs up braille.
Love the mix of old school freestyle and creative innovation, also love that you have taken the great aspects from all the era's of decks and created one of your own. The Search for Animal Chin continues...
BIG Andy Anderson fan! I've watched him destroy* the Squamish Park quite a few times.
*"destroy" isn't the right word for what Andy does, it's more like "re-imagine how physics work".
its like they took DNA from jay adams, mullen, and chad muska and made a hybrid
Wow it's hard to believe that just a single board design could take 8 years! Love it!

Andy is so much fun to watch. Honestly Braille is endorsing some true skate pioneers.
