Yes, all jon boats are hard to come by now. And, if they are available get ready to spend some money. That,s a great setup you have.

Been looking for one all this year. A 1448M. Lowe, Alumacraft, nobody is making them this year. Hearing about an Aluminum shortage as the reason.
Can't find one used either. When they do come up, people are asking more for one then they are new !
Great perfect size boat. I had a few V16's with 40 and 60's on them, but overkill and to awkward.
1448M is the perfect boat.

Getting same number on my 1448 custom flat with a 30 hp honda 4 stroke. I was at first disappointed due to other brands getting better performance with 25 hp. But my jon is a 1988 year model alot beefier built than these newer jons. But what changed that is when i noticed with added weight. Wife and 2 kids and light gear the speed change was very minimal if any at all depending on extras
That’s good to hear, this boat is rated 25hp max but I got a good deal on the 30hp Yamaha. Have fun out there 👍
You should be doing 33-34 with that small of a boat. I was doing 28 with 2 people and almost 30 solo with a 1542 and a 2016 20hp mercury . Get that engine higher on the transom and make sure you have the right prop

I found it on Marketplace couple years ago, it was on a tender for a yacht from Bahamas. Barely used at the time.

Top speed 28 with 2 adults, solo I can squeeze 30 out. Fast enough
