Looks great, have to say though I have never had any issue with just using pure water, one quick rinse around the house and then back round for a scrub, it works a treat, no extra expense using detergents or anything.
I've had the same debate with a mate! I find using the chemicals, it really takes the strain off the hard scrubbing that's required without the solution! Plus you get a great shine! I slap a load of bleach up there and it kills the dirt instantly, it's really good for eliminating the grime that comes from the venting!
For green gutters/fascias the easiest way might be a telescopic pole pressure washer like the Karcher one I have.I’ve also successfully used uPVC cream cleaner on the pole brush but the pressure washer gets into all the nooks and crannies and is much easier on the shoulders and neck. I haven’t tried it but I’ve been told ordinary washing detergent powder mixed with warm water works well on the green stuff.
Been doing roofline cleans for 16 years, with 3 vans out everyday. There is no need for any chemicals or expensive equipment. Just a pole, hooked up to customers tap, a little cream cleaner on the brush and it always comes up as new! Try it!! The only thing that will not come off with any chemical or cream, are the "Tiger Stripes". The black drip marks you sometimes get on the fascias. When that happens, pop up the ladder and use a mildly abrasive pad with cream cleaner, and they come off. If you don't like heights, get an Unger pole, with the claw, and use the pad with that!!!! Not wanting to burst anyones bubble, but try it!!
The BASS2DARK 187 Nice one. There is always more than one way of doing things. I was really impressed with the results here though. Recorded this a few weeks ago and just went back the other day, still can’t believe how clean it looks!😎👍🏼
So do you fill up the constant flow pump then add cleaner and spray it. Then use brush attachment, is the brush attachment running of the constant flow pump? Or standard garden hose? Currently dont do this type of work but looking to include it. Thanks great video
I have used a 1 % hypo solution with plenty of fairy liquid before with great results. But recently used Screwfix no nonsense degreaser 5 litres for £8:99. Very economical just 5 capfuls per 5 litres of water.
A.E.Mackintosh Cleaning Services will do Ashley I wear the glasses when doing the pvc - I also got the Unger brush you suggested-so all your UA-cam videos are very beneficial Thanks 🙏
I’m not sure if it’s worth it really. Depends how you sell it to the customer I suppose, but there are plenty of cheaper cleaning chemicals that will do a decent job.👍🏼
LEE Harris Sure, you could. I would be careful about that though as it’s pretty strong stuff really, so remember your personal protection equipment.😃👍🏼
Hi, great video. What length is the pole you are using? And when you do the after wash, is that from also fed from the iconic constant flow? I can imagine it would take a few refills.
What type of water do u you use in the ionic with the solution? Also after you have spayed and left the solution on and left it... Then scrubbed it what do u rinse the facias etc off with.?
Carolina Outdoors The contact foam cleaning does include a biocide so that it kills the living spores on the upvc. Resulting in a better, longer lasting clean.😃👍🏼
Can i ask what pole and brush u use that can change from brush to sprayer and does that all just connect to garden hose or can it ? I just go up ladder but trying to get easier way to get up gables to save time want to invest in that please
jamie connor This is a Vertigo pole from Ionic in this video, the same brand as the sprayer. But really you could use any pole and brush setup you want. Sometimes I just plug in the pole I’m using for windows to apply a little cleaning solution through the brush jets.😃👍🏼
Interesting. You don't need to faf around with that strong chemical and swapping nozzles/heads etc when a mild detergent out of a decent hand sprayer will serve just as well. Been doing it like that for years
Jeremy Plant There is always a different approach. I’ve been doing similar to what you described as well, but I was impressed with the results from this method.💦😃👍🏼
Yes, I do have an xjet actually, but I would have to transport and setup my pressure washer to use it. Sometimes it’s easier and more controlled to use a pump spray system.😃👍🏼
joe Sewell You can do. It’s probably best to use quite a weak mix. I have never used it for that. You should be careful about splashing that stuff about, especially on fascias overhead. I usually recommend a upvc cleaner.😃👍🏼

You made that look easy. I need to do a system like that. I usually get up on a ladder with a brush and scrub then rinse. Good job.
Red Rock Maintenance I used to do it in a similar way to that. This does make it much easier to get a great result.💦😃👍🏼

If you have to pop a ladder up if their is tiger marks its much easier to just use a ladder to clean them in the first place
@@cbecks2051 of course, however will take you 10 times longer!!
Excellent video. I am about to purchase this equipment. This is a great help. Thanks
Great video, after you spray the foam on you use the brush is that with no guild just the brush then wash off with water..
😃👍🏼
Another great video. I had a big facia soffit & gutter clean today using virasol & the D A applicator

Yes. You could use tap water to wash it but ideally you want to rinse it with pure water.😃👍🏼
@@aemackintosh can you reccomend a complete starter kit for this? Thanks

Mowtown NI Nice one. There is always more than one way of doing things. Whatever works for you.💦😃👍🏼
I wouldn't half like one of those Ionic jobs. They are pretty expensive but worth it if that is your business. Great Vid
In my opinion it’s not worth it in the end. A bit rubbish and very overpriced.
I have a really daft question...after you have sprayed your foam on..do you then connect your pole to the owners hose and water supply?
I use my pure water setup from the van.👍🏼
Never had an issue using Ubik and one of my older WFPs
Sounds good.👍🏼
Hi.. Nice vid.. What's that brush called thanks
It’s the Ionics flocked bristle brush.👍🏼
So what is your brush connected too, a hose pipe? Or that ionics pump?
I connect it to the hose pipe for the clean at first, then connect to my van pump system for the final rinse with pure water.👍🏼
Looks like a nice and well made system with great results
AW Photographic I think it comes across very professional when you use a specific piece of equipment like this for a specific job.💦😃👍🏼
@@aemackintoshwhere did you get your sprayer from please?
hi Ashley i just got delivery of the contact solution - as per your advice - i have house to do tomorrow - thanks
Great! I hope it goes well. Don’t get it in your eyes. Glasses are a good idea.😃👍🏼

Job satisfaction is the important thing here. Somehow the old fashion way never really gave you that feeling. Good work.
Keith Baron True, and this way was a lot quicker too.💦😃👍🏼
A what is a good weed killer for block paving 🤷♂️ thanks 🙏
Round up is good.
What you think of this stuff mate? Is it really worth the extra money vs using sprayed on ubik?
How long this job take you?
I’m not sure if it’s worth it really. Depends how you sell it to the customer I suppose, but there are plenty of cheaper cleaning chemicals that will do a decent job.👍🏼
May I recommend soft washing that application next time. That system would be great for gutter brightening services
John Martinez Thanks.😃👍🏼
Brill video as always. Could contact be applied in a normal hand sprayer?
LEE Harris Sure, you could. I would be careful about that though as it’s pretty strong stuff really, so remember your personal protection equipment.😃👍🏼
Hi, great video. What length is the pole you are using? And when you do the after wash, is that from also fed from the iconic constant flow? I can imagine it would take a few refills.
Al Capri It’s a 30ft Pole from Ionics. The new one is called the Hydra. I wash the fascias afterwards with my pure water system in the van.😃👍🏼
Window cleaner here of 20 years i use the wash and reach system gets it up gleaming lasts for years with the pure water.
Nice one.😃👍🏼
do you have water coming out the brush? if so whats that connected too?
My pure water supply.😉👍🏼
What type of water do u you use in the ionic with the solution? Also after you have spayed and left the solution on and left it... Then scrubbed it what do u rinse the facias etc off with.?
You can use tap water in with the cleaning solution if you want, but it’s best if you can rinse it down with pure water afterwards.😃👍🏼
Hi I don’t see this little unit on the iconic website for sale
Michael Barry It’s there if you search for ‘constant flow’ I will put a link in the description as well.😃👍🏼
I would advise soft washing, it would go faster and be a better deep clean! That would be a good tool for gutter brightening or window cleaning.

Right ok as for connecting up pole to a hose can you do that ?
Yes. I should do a proper review video of this tool.😃👍🏼
Yea that be great just showing what way it connected etc with what connectors and types of hoses will be waiting lol thanks great videos must say
Thanks, I hope you find them helpful. I’ve got a lot going on at the moment but I will see what I can do.😃👍🏼
Where can I buy this pole and attachments? Thanks mark
It is from Ionics. But to be honest, you are probably better off to go to Gardiner and get similar kit from there.😃👍🏼
How long did that house take from start to finish ?
About an hour and a half or so I suppose.👍🏼
How long did that take you to complete
I been told to use traffic film remover any thoughts on that?
dunt givatoss TFR is good, but this is stronger.💦😃👍🏼
thanks for the info fella nice vids always watch em gives me loads of tips@@aemackintosh
That’s great. Glad it helps.😃👍🏼
Is fascia cleaning possible without a WFP? Using say a traditional extension pole etc
I used to do it by hand with a sponge and cloth years ago before I had pure water. Hard work but it’s possible.😃👍🏼

Great job Ashley. Is it hypo based or more like a TFR 🤔
Squeaky Clean Dave It does have Hypo in it as one of the main ingredients.😃👍🏼

what's the going rate for a job like that Ashley?
Pure Clean H2o I made a video on how to quote a job like this. The link is in the description.😃👍🏼
Don't you guys have access to Xjets? Or other downstream applicators?. I could do that job in 10 minutes max with an Xjet

Alexandre Rocha It has been supplied for me to test and review.💦😃👍🏼

What do you think of the razr product
Trevor Frost I haven’t really used that one much myself, but I hear it’s decent.😃👍🏼
Is it a bleach-based cleaner?
Alan Karr Sodium hypochlorite, yes.😃👍🏼
Why not just use a powerwasher?
That would be quite messy and you could potentially damage the plastics.
Sorry brother that's a really slow method compared to pressure washing
Yep, and that turned out to be a rubbish bit of kit. Don’t go near that company if I were you.
Ionic. shocking prices
Yes, there are definitely cheaper was of doing the same thing.😃👍🏼
Not that great l
No, it’s not.👎🏼
Does it need a water supply?
