The LSAT is a very unassuming light machine gun in Black Ops 2. Most of the other LMGs have very extreme attributes that allow them to be memorable or have a specialty role to fill. The LSAT has none of these things. Then again, it's one of a few guns in BO2 that has no weaknesses. This is a strong LMG and is even stronger if you know how to use it properly!

At 1:45 it says rnage take the n away it says rage rage has four letters in it 4x1 equals 4 4-1 equals 3 there are 3 letters in LMG So if I add that together LMG+Rage equals 7 there are four letters in LSAT so 7-4=3 there are 3 sides in a triangle this means driftor is in the illuminati illuminati confirmed.

it can be either a camping weapon, a rushing weapon, or both, depending on what you use on it. It's a highly versatile weapon that can be used for all playing styles, which is what i really like about it.
no it can't it has bad hip fire, bad movement, bad switch times and bad ADS - it's just an MK48 except with half the range and lower damage in exchange for 100 more RPM. so essentially it is a much worse version of the MK48 since that gun will always be a 3 hit kill without rapid fire while the LSAT will drop to a 4 hit kill after 31 meters (assault rifle range) and if you equip a silencer to the LSAT you will get 5 hit kills as well. also The HAMR statistically dominates this gun too since it has the same range but shoots at 937 RPM for the first 7 rounds.

love the LSAT! i use silencer and Target Finder, perfect for camping, area camping, and also for straight spot-up head-to-head firefights. Also good for long range with Target Finder (helps eliminate campers and people hiding) :)
If people call me trash I punish them with mk 48 target finder, quickdraw, and suppressor. They rage sooooooooooo much XDXDXD
I tend to use the LSAT with three attachments. I use Silencer so I don't show up on the radar; FMJ so I can shoot through walls to check for people -- plus when combined with the silencer, I don't need to worry about randomly shooting; and extended mags just because I like to be un-conservative with my ammo. Alternatively, you can get rid of the extended mags and the third-attachment wildcard to have two more spaces for your class.
Stock is life on this weapon.

a solid class i have found for the LSAT is: the lsat with fmj,fore grip, acog sight or hybrid optic,no secondary,danger close wildcard with x2 bouncing betties or claymore, and then lightweight perk and cold blooded (if you want to replace FMJ with something, replace it with the suppressor or extended clip if you like spraying) i am an lsat master because i got the lsat mastery card and i got the gold camo and at the maximum level of weapon level prestige 2! so i know a lot about it!
Drift0r says this weapon has no specialty, but I always felt from experience that its specialty was the accuracy. Is it not the most accurate LMG in the game?

+Kaeden wight It's purpose is to provide overwatch on the infantry units pushing forward. Basically, the LSAT is the M249 SAW (actually, that's what it is IRL).

M249 Squad Assault Weapon, so it doesn't replace the SAW, it is the SAW
+Shad0wDrag0n99 Tips, Tricks, & Trols The LSAT is fairly different to the M249 actually. The MK48 is the most similar overall in BO2 as the only difference is the company that builds it.
I labeled my LSAT as the supressor. I believe that is it's niche. Put on FMJ and lock down a hallway. I also use it as a breaching class. With light weight, engineer, ghost and concussion grenades and maybe some blackhats. It really pulls out the versatility of the weapon.

I usually have the Primary Gun wild card with the LSAT.
I use Laser Sight, Quickdraw Handle, and Adjustable Stock.
This fixes the crappy hipfire, the aim speed, and the movement speed.
Basically means you have steady-aim, quickdraw, and stalker PLUS your 3 other perks.
The LSAT becomes great for every situation with these attachments.
FLYING AGR!!! .O.
I literally used this weapon from lvl 17 untill I could prestiege. It was during one of the double xp weekends. A set-up that id recomend is: LSAT with Silencer, Stock and FMJ. Flak Jacket, Toughness, Tactical Mask/Engenier, Tac. Insert and C4/Two Blackhat PDA. It works really well, trust me!

The LSAT reminds me of the MG4 from MW2: low recoil, slow reload and good iron sights. But the LSAT has Stopping Power built in.
Perks and attachments for the lsat: suppressor, stock and laser sight lightweight, flak, toughness and extreme conditioning. Total beast
My set ups are: (for defending flags) 1. flak jacket&hardline, 2.Toughness, 3. Tac Mask... Target Finder with quickdraw and a bouncing betty.
Second setup is: 1. flak jacket&lightweight, 2 Toughness, 3. Dexerity... Stock, quickdraw and laser sight.
The second setup is when I get bored and i don't feel like the enemies are putting up much of a fight for the flags, or i simply want to make that "push".
Love it with quickdraw, stock, and dual-band. Cap flags like crazy with that, flak jacket, and a smoke grenade. You can get multikills while you cap! Also had fun in HC with rapid fire, laser sight, and lightweight. Run around and hose em with bullets! LSAT is my favorite of the LMGs... closest to the M60 in previous games, I think.
My favorite setup for the LSAT is with three attachments, Stock, Grip, Dual band.
It's a great setup.
Great LMG for Overkill classes. If you're new to using LMG's, I'd highly recommend starting with the LSAT in order to get used to the LMG playstyle.
However, once you get used to using the LSAT, I recommend trying out the other LMG's. It's a good gun, but you can do far better with the MK48 (long range no attachments, all ranges w/ Rapid Fire), QBB (CQC and Mid-Range), or HAMR (all ranges, if you can control the alternate fire).
Fun Fact: The LSAT is riddled with references to the movie "Aliens".
The preset class has a target finder, which is a reference to Vasquez's smart gun, and it says "Adios", just like her smart gun. And if you zoom in with the target finder it says "Vasquez" in numbers and letters.
I like this gun with target finder, fmj, and laser sight. These make it good both from far and close distance and it is easy to totally murder. You may call it overpowered, but it works, and it works good.

this game trained me to use iron sights well. i now run this gun with grip, suppressor, and quickdraw. the most rush class ever

I agree with flopper, Flak jacket lightweight, toughness, dexterity and give LSAT QuickDraw and stock, it doesn't need grip
I have a golden LSAT,so a good class setup that you should use is Target Finder,FMG,and Foregrip and Lightweight,Fast Hands,and Extreme Conditioning.And the secondary weapon should always be a pistol

Just watched a damn 105 second ad for you, Brad. Hope you appreciate that.
If you run and gun with it, lose the target finder and add a stock or quick draw. The target finder is inferior to iron sights for up close run and gun since it obscures so much of your peripheral vision. At a distance the target finder is excellent since it picks out head glitchers from across the map which is very useful but up close it is just a hindrance.
For the MK48, defensive, set up around an objective and hose people down. HAMR, The first quick 16 rounds allows for a little more midrange, Pair with Flak J. and Tac Mask to be a tank and have nothing stop you. QBB is more CQC, get closer, but not too close, for spawn trapping, and LSAT, like said in this video, is good for everything, so you can use it for all of the purposes and more. LMGs in my opinion are better with Flak and Tac Mask, also toughness, I also like FMJ, the rest is up to you.
This with variable zoom, suppressor and stock/quickdraw is actually terrifying.
Put all that on an MK48 and you kill everything. Cheap, yet effective.
i like to use this weapon with EOtech and quickdraw. EOtech is very good on this weapon in my opinion. i wreck in search and destroy with this gun, often taking out half or more of the team in a round.

I love this lmg for hardcore because of the built in ammo counter it has
ASSAULT SHIELD!!! Overkill with LSAT and assault shield as secondary, slam it down in good chokepoints or aiming at bombs or objectives and use it as portable cover. Revolutionises the game. Why have no youtubers covered it???
HAMR is my go to gun. If I need to shoot more than 7 rounds at a group, I'm already in the zone and the change in rpm never really screwed me up.
The LSAT is a great Hardcore LMG. That ammo counter is a lifesaver, and it's pretty much a 1-shot killer.
Same here. I add the grip on as well, makes a huge difference when rapid fire is on.

I LOVE the LSAT most of all LMGs because it can also be a long range weapon. Why? I use it with Quickdraw, Dual Band and Variable Zoom to keep my aim tracked on faraway targets (Snipers, Target Finder Players etc.). Dexterity and Toughness are a must-have to me. Perk 1 does not matter. I personally use Semtex and Shock Charge on the class.

Hey drift0r I've been watching your stuff for a while and it is really awesome, thanks for doing what you do!
This is my standard gun of choice i personally recommend that you run it with three attachments two if you dont use sights, i use silencer/fmj or quick draw/Target finder just cause i have issues with my sight so i use something to assist. perks are standard hardline, toughness, and engineer. emp grenade, and a rocket launcher to deal with air support, you could do a trade off of your emp and rockets for dexterity if you really need it. I find i easily ned 20+ kills with less then 10 deaths
Target finder and LMG in BO2 is like LMG and thermal in MW3... MINIMAL RECOIL.
LMGs hit hard... and can be long ranged. It's hella OP with the LMGs and semiauto assault rifles.
Especially since most players who use it camp and head-glitch.
LSAT is my favorite gun in Black ops 2. right next to the M27, Scorpion EVO, And SVU.

For all of you wondering, the ''scary AGR'' is at 10:30 its just flying at the screen just brace yourself for that. I got a mini heart attack from that and just dont want anyone else too.
See that spot you were at, at 7:46? I held that position for most of the round on ground war, domination. 3 teammates behind me, 3 on the other side of the map, and 2 in the back guarding C and B flag. I looked into the room to stop people from coming into the center room with the LSAT.
I got promoted and we won. :D

Defendthehouse did a Mythbusters episode on it. You can make the AGR go flying by dolphin diving on it. I'm surprised it wasn't patched.

I like running silencer on this, stock, and quick draw handle, but I find I normally just run the stock and the quick draw. you're more mobile with the stock and the quick draw helps you raise it faster so you don't have to worry about the hip fire soo much in close quarters combat.
Dude I love this gun. The damn gun is great with a target finder. I could put a target finder on every LMG and get score streaks every time.

I love to run this and the HAMR in hardcore tdm. I use the silencer with acog and adjustable stock. It ends up feeling like a high-capacity assault rifle with better wall penetration .

For defending areas such as the computer room in Aftermath or the middle house in Standoff, I'd recommend LSAT with FMJ or Reflex, S12 with fast mag, Overkill, Flak, Fast Hands, Tac mask, and Frag. I've yet to go negative match K/D.
I got a double Swarm with an LSAT only using a Suppressor and Claymores (I place them in random places around the map that have high traffic) and the perks were Ghost/Blind Eye Cold-Blooded/Scavenger and Engineer the best perk combination on the game, I finished 72-7 and now I didn't head glitch or any of that I was running around the map, if you are on PS3 I can show you the gameplay.
It's great how in depth you go.
My LSAT class: LSAT with primary gunfighter, suppressor, quickdraw, target finder (im a noob), fast hands (so I can switch to my knife and have mobility while rushing), tactical mask, perk 1 greed, flak jacket, and ghost. try it. its a beautiful class. ;)

The swat is awesome up to the end of its 3 hit kill range which has some decent reach. For extremely long distance it takes way too long to kill since it requires two bursts. By long range I mean 1/2 a map length or more. I use my swat class on medium sized maps where it mops up nicely.
Driftor said that LSAT iron sight is good,optic is optional.You know what?It's just as same as M4A1's iron sight in MW3,but he said he doesn't like it at all in M4A1 & SCAR-L comparison video before.

True, but you have to consider this condition he's been fighting through for the last few months. It really takes its toll.
In fact,the feature LSAT has is that it shoots a different kind of bullets,which is lighter and easier to carry,but then it becomes as heavy as MK48 is,MAYBE LSAT in game doesn't really fit the one in real life O.o

I'ts my favorite lmg and my class type for it is a rush one. First the primary wild card and attach the target finder, laser sight and fmg the a fja as secondary the flack jacket, scavenger, tactical mask and finally a bouncing betty.
if you guys want to have fun with this gun, use rapid fire, silencer, and extended clip and go into any type of hardcore game mode. me and my friends were free for all- ing in a custom game and i used this because we set it to 50% health, and i tore shit up!
the recoil patterns, fire rates, and muzzle flash might not be the same, so chill
