When I play with the DSR-50 I give it the ballistic cpu and the FMJ, my secondary will be the Remington shotgun with the long barrel, I hold the bouncing betty and the the tactical insertion as equipment

Long Barrel or if you want grenades, no secondary Perk 1: Lightweight Perk 2: Fast Hands or Scavenger (depending on if you use grenades or a secondary weapon Perk 3: depends on you, again :D Lethal: Tomahawk/None, if you want a secondary Tactical: Flashbang/None, if secondary is prefered Cards: Primary Gunfighter So i hope you like these classes, and even if you don't believe me, the Acog class can be helpfull on maps like Express & Nuketown.

a solid class i have found for the dsr 50 is: the dsr 50 with zoom,ballistics cpu,and fast mag or extended clip (primary gunfighter wildcard) no secondary, danger close with either a bouncing betty or claymore. and then cold blooded and blind eye. the perfect stealth class! (if you want a suppressor/silencer than replace the fast mag with it)
this is a tip for dsr attachment : -First slot scope upgrade like: dual band v zoom or ballcpu -second slot damage upgrade like : Fmj or suppressor -Third slot accessories like : laser ext clip or fastmag
Using Laser Sight and B CPU on snipers is best for quick scoping. Even though the Laser does not help that much, it does increase return to center speed so for quick scoping that is key, that and the CPU helps with sway and when you ADS you can drag scope easier.
Blackstar Nope. The XPR-50 is the Barrett equivalent. They're both Barrett equivalents, actually. The DSR is the M95 equivalent and the XPR is the M82/'Barrett .50 Cal' equivalent.
I'm not Drift0r, but I do have some tips. Put on variable zoom, dual band and ballistics CPU first. Then go in and out of matches until you get standoff or turbine on DOMINATION. On standoff go in tallest of the overwatch buildings and shoot everyone who goes for flag B. The dual band will help with the smoke the enemy will throw down. On turbine go pretty much anywhere that gives a view of the map and put on the bigger zoom with variable zoom. Bouncing betties and a sidearm help as well.
You could try sticking in a Dual band and smoke grenades. Also, play in objective mode (i.e. Demolition) and watch the objective from somewhere you are safe. Try to know how spawns work too, that can help a lot. It worked fine for me with every sniper, including the SVU and now I'm rocking diamond.
I agree with 1 things that you said about quick scoping. It's not how a sniper should be used. I used to hate quick scoping till I learned how to do it. Now, I find it really fun and enjoyable. I normally use the AN 94, but if I die by a quick scoper, I pull out my DSR. It is very possible to quick scope and be a team player.
I loved the DSR-50, because of the high amount of damage done when you aim at the waist or higher. What I discovered, the Variable Zoom helps a bit at QSing. My personal favourite class setup for the DSR-50 is: Primary: DSR-50 with Dual Band, Extended Clip and Variable Zoom Secondary: B23R Extended Clip Perks: Lightweight, Toughness and Extreme Conditioning Lethal and Tactical is not needed.
Balista is if you want to have the faster ADS and a slightly bigger clip. The DSR is for sniping however the f**k you want with the most damage and wall penetration. The DSR with FMJ can penetrate the concret walls on "Ima try it out" and still OSK.
If you like perks, get a a lot of those, don't get any lethals (so you don't accidentally get a kill with one). Also no second weapon so you won't swap to pistol when someone is close range.
Best SnD class. I use it in League Play, not in pubs. Primary: DSR - Thermal, whatever attatchment you want. Secondary: Skorpion - grip or whatever you want. Lethal - if you didnt an attatchment on the skorpion and second on dsr Tactical - smoke (thats where thermal comes in) Perk 1 - Doesnt really matter Perk 2 - Doesnt matter Perk 3 - Awareness is recommended for the blind spots, but not required for the class.
Favorite class: DSR50 w/ Fast Mags and Acog sight, overkill, KSG12 w/ suppresor Flak Jacket, Toughness, Tactical Mask. You can also switch out toughness for fast hands so you pull out your ksg fastrr. PM and tell me how it works for ya! Happy Hunting
Drift0r, something you may not have noticed is hands are considered a different body part than arms in BO2. It's a 2 shot kill to the hands with the DSR-50.
The ballista is easier for quickscoping because the aim down sights time is much quicker compared to the DSR. The DSR may get less hit-markers, but it's significantly slower than the ballista. If you're a good quickscoper than you could probably work with the DSR, but ballista is just a whole lot easier.
I prefer variable zoom for different reasons. When I'm looking around a big area such as turbine, I have more ground to cover when i'm at a closer range zoom. If I see someone pop up within that larger line of sight, i tend to aim faster towards that area and zoom out closer to them. It tends to work better for me
With my Sniper classes in BO2, I’m always at that point where I can’t decide which Pistol to take with me. I love both the Tac45 and the Five Seven. Which is again, a hard decision because the Tac45’s damage and range is really good, but the Five Seven has double the capacity, and less effective range. At the same time, I don’t like dropping my pistol for a weapon from an enemy I just killed...so if I can live long enough, I’m usually afraid that my Tac45 will run out empty unless I’m using Scavenger. So the Five Seven takes that fear away a little bit, because Scavenger isn’t really practical for a Sniper class anyway.
i think what would make a good cod game is good maps,balanced weapons,balanced perks, great campaign, great spawns, and kick-ass music like in mw2 when you played as rangers and won the victory song would make you feel badass
I play split screen with my little and his whole way to prestige master he used the DSR 50 alot long the way and he would only get hit markers every blue moon and I would always point it out because I would always notice how rare that was. Compared to the Ballista which is my favorite lol.
I hate the default sights for the DSR 50, I really prefer there to actually be something in my sights when I shoot, such as the Ballista, SVU AS, and the XPR 50.
It is because of the body multiplier. Each part of the body has different values. Lets say the chest multiplier is 1,2x so 98*1,2= 117,6 damage dealt. That is what makes it a one shot kill. Legs typically have 1x multiplier so you deal 98 damage to the legs, so it is still a 2 shot kill. :)

+Jay Lennie Wouldn't the SVU-AS be a better candidate? There isn't too much penalty to using the suppressor on the SVU-AS since you'll be getting two shot kills most of the time anyway.
heres some useful advice- besides camping in a room, u can quickscope. The one tip for quickscoping, is to stop and shoot, very simple. Practice in combat training, work your way up the difficulties, then try it in online a while. you will get the hang of it, then once your reasonably good then it won't be too hard. However don't rush full on, let the enemies come to you. P.S never ask for help as a noob on the internet, it never ends well.

A shot to the legs, esp. fired from a sniper rifle, could make some sort of temporary 50 % speed reduce, that would be interesting to see that in game =)
@tiu have one thing wrong. heliopters dont drop crates of dogs, they "magically" appear out of certain spots and then "magically" disappear. "totally realistic"
If you shoot a certain part of a person's body there are damage multipliers [for snipers only (well if you shoot someone in the head, most guns get a multiplier for that)]
If you're finding it hard getting bloodthirsties, make a class with over-kill, and for the primary, set it as a PDW or MSMC, and get 4 kills. Get the final kill with the DSR. It's how i got my Ballista gold. Good luck. :)
The thing I don't get with sniper rifles in COD is when you hip fire the bullet doesn't go straight. Why? In real life the bullet goes straight. But on topic, love your work Drift0r
My personal favorite easily has custom class slot no.1. My attachments are Fast Mag and ACOG i know the ACOG looks ugly but makes the sniper shoot better for me anyway.
I know u said that you suggest NOT using this gun for no scoping, but due to the damage output of the gun its the most optimal. I know this from experience.
Yeah i think that way, too. The Ballista Iron Sights feel like treyarch just put them in there cuz they can. I actually never hit anytging with them in online. The DSR-50 Iron Sights...omfg i think i'll have to change underwear. . . . . K I'm back. They feel like .. GODDAMMIT I CAME AGAIN.
Personally I think you're wrong, in the quickscoping department. For some reason, the DSR seems to be better for quickscoping. I've tried both, extensively, and I don't know what it is...But the DSR kills more. It doesn't get as many hit markers, and it hits more.
Don't use grims class use this Dsr with ballistics cpu and zoom No secondary if you get a kill with the tac it won't count as a bloodthirsty Ghost Scavenger and fast hands Dezterity Two shock charges so you know if they're coming.
this is my favourite sniper and possibley favourite gun and it might be just me but the hipfire seems to be a bit better than balista and xpr but not as good as svu. and also with the snipers sometimes as you are dying if you pull the trigger it makes the sound of a bullet being fired but the bullet never seems to hit anything. good vid
The DSR50 is a bull-pup sniper rifle, and it has a spare magazine in front of the trigger guard. But it seems as if the shooter leaves the mag in the port and doesn't use it!? Or do they just keep an empty one in for show?

Like the SVU (it does what, 70 dmg at all ranges?) he's stating the MINIMAL damage this gun will do to the specific zones outside the 1HK areas. Unlike the other guns, snipers dont suffer from dmg drop over range. This gun in particular is different since it's a 1hk anywhere xcpt legs period, so he's stating it deals AT LEAST 98 dmg if it hits OUTSIDE the 1hk zones. Otherwise, I had to think about that as well X3 why say 98 dmg if it's a 1hk? So technically, outside those zones: 100+ to 98 dmg.
In that vid he was explaining attachments/perks for quickscoping mate in this 1 hes just reffering to the specific sniper and what he thinks is useful for it if u are gonna play with it like its inteded for ppl to play with (u know the usual good old camping running somewhere else and camp again till u get another 1-2 kills way).. i hope i helped! :)

That's because laser tightens spread (hipfire box), which means that the aim-assist has a larger range.
It was explained in one of the episodes.
I like to put a suppressor on the DSR. I'm never aiming for the lower arms anyway, and the VERY occasional hit marker is worth staying off radar.

One thing I like to point out is that if you shoot at the hands and it doesn't hit any part of the body apart from the hands, it's not a one-hit kill

prestige weapons allow you to put your clan tag/emblem on the gun and still keep camos.
Use this with OVerkill and run sniper shotty's with shock charges. Such a fun class

If you shoot a certain part of a person's body there are damage multipliers [for snipers only (well if you shoot someone in the head, most guns get a multiplier for that)]

@Mike Hyland you get multipliers for certain parts of the body, for example a headshot might give 20% extra damage
My old gramps hard scoping class is dsr no attachments perk 1 greed hardline flack jacket toughness tac mask 2 shock charges kap 40 extended clip
If you're finding it hard getting bloodthirsties, make a class with over-kill, and for the primary, set it as a PDW or MSMC, and get 4 kills. Get the final kill with the DSR. It's how i got my Ballista gold. Good luck. :)
The thing I don't get with sniper rifles in COD is when you hip fire the bullet doesn't go straight. Why? In real life the bullet goes straight. But on topic, love your work Drift0r
you know what grinds my gears? When people complain about hardscoping when thats the porpoise of a sniper rifle

Tip: You must be stationary when you fire a sniper rifle, if you're not stationary(standing still) your bullet will fly up in the air randomly.

My personal favorite easily has custom class slot no.1. My attachments are Fast Mag and ACOG i know the ACOG looks ugly but makes the sniper shoot better for me anyway.
I know u said that you suggest NOT using this gun for no scoping, but due to the damage output of the gun its the most optimal. I know this from experience.
Treyarch should have made iron sights for the dsr 50. The iron sights should be like the pack-a-punched dsr 50 sights on zombies.
Yeah i think that way, too. The Ballista Iron Sights feel like treyarch just put them in there cuz they can. I actually never hit anytging with them in online. The DSR-50 Iron Sights...omfg i think i'll have to change underwear.

Personally I think you're wrong, in the quickscoping department. For some reason, the DSR seems to be better for quickscoping. I've tried both, extensively, and I don't know what it is...But the DSR kills more. It doesn't get as many hit markers, and it hits more.
plus, dsr is a 50 cal. those things can rip through the walls even without fmj

I love the acog DSR for some reason. Maybe it's because most of my games are on nuketown, hijacked or raid.

this is my favourite sniper and possibley favourite gun and it might be just me but the hipfire seems to be a bit better than balista and xpr but not as good as svu. and also with the snipers sometimes as you are dying if you pull the trigger it makes the sound of a bullet being fired but the bullet never seems to hit anything. good vid

The supressor increases recoil? That doesn't make sense. It should be extra weight on the barrel, so it should stabilize it more.

derrpp... shock charge slows them for a few seconds and is placeable. concussion slows them for a long time, but you cant place it.

The dsr is actually i relatively small gun. It is about 2/3rds the size of a barret m82 (.50 cal)
The DSR50 is a bull-pup sniper rifle, and it has a spare magazine in front of the trigger guard. But it seems as if the shooter leaves the mag in the port and doesn't use it!? Or do they just keep an empty one in for show?

Didn't need the damage graphic Driftor - it can be summed up in 1 sentence "Balls and up is a 1 shot."
Like the SVU (it does what, 70 dmg at all ranges?) he's stating the MINIMAL damage this gun will do to the specific zones outside the 1HK areas. Unlike the other guns, snipers dont suffer from dmg drop over range. This gun in particular is different since it's a 1hk anywhere xcpt legs period, so he's stating it deals AT LEAST 98 dmg if it hits OUTSIDE the 1hk zones. Otherwise, I had to think about that as well X3 why say 98 dmg if it's a 1hk? So technically, outside those zones: 100+ to 98 dmg.
In that vid he was explaining attachments/perks for quickscoping mate in this 1 hes just reffering to the specific sniper and what he thinks is useful for it if u are gonna play with it like its inteded for ppl to play with (u know the usual good old camping running somewhere else and camp again till u get another 1-2 kills way).. i hope i helped! :)
Actually, the DSR-50 does exist. It is a modification of the DSR-1 chambered in .50 cal rounds.
