Very interesting video, Ross. Our lists probably differ a lot, as I have a soft spot for "Wild Life" (I just like the sound of that era) and I like "Driving Rain" more and more with each listen. I just can't get into "New", tried many times but it just doesn't resonate with me, But "Memory Almost Full" is a grower and I like it a whole lot more than I originally did, but not enough to be in my Top 10. So cool to see you showing your vinyl copies of "Driving Rain" and "Chaos" - I am so jealous! Great video!!
Great video, great collection, Ross! What a fun to be a Macca fan, really: so many GREAT albums and they are so different. I realize I don't have Press To Play, Flaming Pie, Run Devil Run and Electric Arguments on vinyl yet, but that's not a big problem these days to get them. By the way, I see there is a shelf on your wall with a lot of LPs on it. Is it properly installed? - the records are quite heavy in weight, I personally don't risk putting them on wall shelves, only on floor shelves. If the shelf falls down... oh, no!
Great video Ross. We agree on many things and differ in others. New would be nowhere near the top of my list but we'd have the same no.1. It's refreshing to see someone nominate Band on the Run top as I've long thought this is Macca's best work, and I get a little tired of everyone saying Ram is his masterpiece. For me, Ram is a fun album, but the ideas and songs are nothing like as developed or well thought through as BOTR. I agree with you that I think it's unlikely that he will ever top it. Top marks too for defending Press to Play - I have a video on this very subject planned in the not too distant future.
Press to Play, then Back to the Egg are my favorites, even more than any Beatles album. I agree with the comments on this video about Tomorrow on Wild Life and No More Lonely Nights on Give My Regards ti Broadstreet being awesome songs. On Driving Rain, I love Tiny Bubble, Rinse the Raindrops, and Back In The Sunshine Again best, but love lots of the songs on it. I consider it a enjoyable as the Beatles Revolver. On Speed of Sound, i actually consider Warm and Beautiful as one of his best ballads of all time, with Only Love Remains, Yesterday, Wanderlust and Waterfalls. I agree that Mistress and Maid is an Off the Ground standout track. On Flowers in the Dirt, I see the standout tracks as including We Got Married and Distractions. I really enjoy Highway and Listen to What the Man Said too. Memory Almost Full is in my top 5 too.

hey Ross, as much as we differ on some things on our rankings, there are equal amounts of similarities as well. I'd have to go back and see my exact order from a couple years ago but I know our #1 is the same and Tug of War is similarly ranked. You lost me a little bit with Press to Play and a few others quite high compared to my own opinion but ranking McCartney albums is very difficult, 5 decades of material, different styles and of course some sentimentality plays a part for both of us. Bottom line though there is no debate about it, one of the more prolific and best songwriters of any generation and a lifetime of work that is nearly unmatched. And I'm not even talking about Beatles songs, just solo work and with Wings. A true legend and a truly enjoyable video Ross, thanks for sharing your opinions. Take Care

Zholobov1 hi, don’t worry, the shelves are not suspended from a wall and are s floor unit. I’ll be getting new ones in a few months anyway
