What a breath of fresh air you are!! Such a wonderful and welcome change from watching so many make up influencers on youtube, who sit there with a tub of gifted, very expensive products and make themselves look grand in 12 "easy" steps. Once I calculated it all up and the woman I had been viewing had used close to $400 of products and had yet to put mascara or lipstick on! This was fun, to see a normal woman, with a normal make up kit:). Well done!!

Haha love that you have make up that long… having worked for Mac for 24 years I still have my vanilla pigment , still full to the brim and I use often…. Don’t try this at home kids 😂😂 😂 and like you I love The ordinary and the Mac mascara… love it , especially as a contact user it can be removed with water, but it lasts really well. Especially as I am living in hot 🥵 Dubai. Lovely to have a true make up artist speak about make up and the name of the paint pot is vintage selection… great colour. Sending you love health and happiness from Dubai ❤

I am not her, but my research has shown less is more. Nothing cakey, light pinks on the apple of cheek and a bit on eyelids, a soft fill in on the brow, and a tubing mascara should be all we are using. We must use spf above all else and quality skincare is key. And remember, you are always lovely if you have love in your heart 🤗🤗.

Both of your favorite mascaras are tubing mascaras that requires warm water above a certain degree to make the polymers, that covers each lash, to melt. As I understand it, all mascaras that say they can be removed with warm water, are tubing mascaras. As I've become a mascara smudger the last 5 years, tubing is all I ca´n use, if I don't feel like looking like a raccoon by lunch time.
I can also recommend the MAC paint pot Painterly. I use it basically as a primer; nothing budges that is put on top of it. If you want something even more "clingy", the Lisa Eldridge latest liquid silky Eye paints. I've never had an eye shadow that stays put the way this does, And everything you put above it as well.

I enjoy hearing both languages. I'm Argentinian (born there, immigrated to U.S. in 1970, am U.S. citizen now), so I know Spanish and my grandfather (father's father) WAS Sicilian. Sorry for the big explanation. What I'm trying to say is there's a lot of Italian words that are similar or the same as Spanish ones and I enjoy hearing and catching one like cavallo (I think Carlo said it recently😁)in Italian is caballo in Spanish. Anyways, that's me.🤣 thank you for your wonderful content/videos. 👋❤👏🙌

Allowing us to see you as you are is very inspirational, I know it’s difficult to let yourselves be seen because the criticism comes from everywhere and feels personal because you are sharing yourself, it’s why so many of us are afraid to put ourselves out there, but the truth is you can’t please everyone all the time. Greetings from Wisconsin, United States. I enjoy the Italian conversations and the subtitles are a way for me to check and see if I understood what was being said.
Thank you for your make - up tips.

I'm over 60 now and everything regarding makeup has changed. I no longer use liquid foundation but use a bit of powder foundation instead. The best mascara I've found for my blond eyelashes is Covergirl Professional 3-in-1 waterproof combined with Milani Eyeshadow primer. Without this combo I get mascara smudged all over beneath my brow. I put a bit of setting powder under my lower lashes as well and usually skip putting mascara on them.

Hi I loved watching this video. Being you were a professional makeup artist, you really know what you're doing when applying makeup. I wear makeup every day and I'm older than you are so my skin isn't as nice as yours. I do wear eye makeup but I really can't afford some of the items you use so I do my best with less expensive ones. Thanks for showing us how you put your makeup on. I didn't hear what you use on your skin instead of moisturizer. Can you please let me know what that is? Thank you!

Hi Nicki, in relation to any make-up I choose Vegan and Cruelty Free which has the leaping bunny logo or PETA certified. Mac and Lancome aren't Vegan or cruelty free. I use NATIO or those that have the leaping bunny in any facial or cosmetic products. 🧡Michelle Australia 🐇

Yes, this is my problem when it comes to mascara. I have the same issue as Nicki, as I've got older, now the mascara comes off on my skin. I've tried quite a few cruelty free vegan ones that are supposed to not smudge, but on me they do. I'm still holding out hope that I'll find "the one" 😊

There's non waterproof and waterproof. I always use non waterproof. A little bit of smudge sometimes, but worth knowing no animal products. I use NATIO. There's RAWW COSMETICS. They have mascara. Give a whirl 🤩

@@miclau-p4n I've used Natio, same problem. Haven't tried Raww yet. Here in NZ we have Aleph and they make beautiful, natural and nourishing cosmetics and the mascara feels lovely on, but on me it smudges, even though on most people it doesn't. I never used to have this problem before menopause! So I've been using clear mascara, which doesn't do much, but is cruelty free and doesn't end up all around my eyes. Ethics first for me too 😊

@michellepaino9650 that can happen with lipstick, especially in warm temperatures and then firmer ones can be too drying on the lips. Most of the time I'm happy with a colored lip balm in a cardboard tube, otherwise I use Aleph lip and cheek tints, with a brush or finger 😊

I might try apricot coloured eyeshadow, even though I’m a light olive skinned brunette! Pinks don’t seem to look good. Browns are too dark…

I use cotton sticks to take of the mascara misses too ...
In summer I use just mascara and lip moisturaizer .
When I am in the sun working at the garden I use a sunscreen .
At night a bit of Calendula cream .
Works perfect on my dry skin .
I like Rimmel mascara best at the moment .
Sometimes at work in the Petshop I need to wipe a bit away when it gets real hot there in summer .
But I did not have Panda eyes .
I like your new channel so far Nicki ...
Even as an old girl .
This weekend I will turn 62
