@@ice4332 I Daily an ND MX-5 perfectly fine. I even do the weekly shop in it. Makes standard journeys to work feel a little more fun. Being only 2 years old it's reliable but I know a lot of people still daily the NC as well.

A friend of mine used to work at Officemax. He said that one day someone came in and bought an office chair, specifically an already assembled floor model. So my friend brought it out to the customer's car, a Miata, and loaded the chair into the passenger seat. Apparently the chair partially blocked the shifter so the customer told my friend he was going to drive home on the highway, for 20 miles, in first and second gear.
And that is the second craziest Miata story I have.

As a passenger, no car has scared the shit out of me like the honda s2000.... idk if it was the loose fitting bucket seats, or the lack of oh shit handle, or the fact that it was still accelerating INTO the corner before the driver tapped the brakes, jerked the wheel and the thing actually turned like it was on rails

6 years later and they had the inventor of Miata on there show, it's crazy how far they got.
I'm roughly around 6'3" and I drove a former coworkers 1995 Miata. It was like a go-kart and to get in it, I had to hook my leg under the steering wheel. The reason was the steering wheel was non-adjustable and my coworker was like 5'5". The more amusing part was it being a manual transmission. Hence why I said it was a go-kart. It was something really small, going really fast.

Mid 2019 and my SNC 1991 Miata still kicks ass with nearly 240,xxx miles. Still turns heads. Still have people compliment the car. Still gives me more smiles per gallon than any other car I have ever owned.

Well I have had 6 Miata's all NA's a 90,91 B Package, a Smurf blue 92, 2 Sunburst 92's with factory Hardtops , one I turbocharged with flying Miata Turbo Kit, with a Happy Meal Clutch , and aluminum flywheel , full stainless exhaust , 10 inch brakes, I blew up the stock rear end , so a installed a torsen rear end out of a 2000 Miata 6 speed, so it had 3:90 gears, FM 2 intercooler, and a Stainless Hard dog Deuce roll Bar, I did a 14:606 in the quarter Mile at Sacramento Raceway at 97 MPH, also was up too 131 MPH on Highway 395 with the top down until my levi Jacket that was stuffed down in the floor board started to blow up and out of the car so I had to get out of it LOL, I Now have a bone stock 93 Red Miata with a Red Hardtop that has 121,000 on it , and it pulls like a freight Train, I have had it up too 118 MPH, things that fit into a Miata, well I have had a Little Giant Ladder in the Passenger side with the soft top up yes it fits, also I have put 5 -80 LB bags of Concrete in the Passenger side, thats 400 Lbs LOL , Also I have Met Tom Montono ? at a Miata Meet in Sacramento like in 1997 and He signed a 11 X 14 Picture of My first 90 Miata that I bought used, I Still Have it

One time, I had to drive down to my parents house with my 2 dogs, 2 cats, and my cousin, as well as my AR15 and my shotgun, my guns and luggage went in the trunk, the dogs went behind the seats in the space between the rear window and the back of the seats, and the cats sat on my lap and my cousins lap. It was a tight squeeze but you can fit a lot more in a Miata than you’d think.

technically it's just 1. a facelift doesn't count as a new generation as it's based on the same platform. Only when a vehicle is redesigned completely is it a new generation.

I went to an autocross last summer in Vienna wv and this stock brand new miata wasnt the fastest, but its suspension and body roll made it look like it rolled out of a race teams garage before a race, was very surprised and put in awe

No worries, people are starting to realize the NC is a badass car, I've owned an NC2 for over 3 years now and I adore it. The mod list keeps growing, but that's a normal thing for any Miata owner... I think.
@@vlenhoff It's probably the best drivers car you can get right now for the price. I personally have a 1994 as the first gen Miata is one of my all time favorite cars but the NC is much better objectively. I will probably pick one up at some point in the future when the funds come around.
I have a friend who had a 1 Gen. He use to some how load a 50cc mini bike and all his gear for race days in/ on it.

In my nb I've fit, on separate occasions, a full sized office chair, and a gaming pc set up (mid atx tower, dual 22" screens, 2.1 speakers, keyboard mouse etc) split bewteen the trunk and the passenger seat.Also, in my nc I've fit enough for a 3 day camping trip in it, including tent, food, water and whatnot. Just gotta get creative (and have friends who have their own cars).
Miatas are like crack, I've had 4 lol. NAs are the best.

One's variable valve TIMING, the other is variable valve LIFT. Massive difference!

Adjustments in the overlap time between the exhaust valve closing and intake valve opening result in improved engine efficiency.
Variable valve life is completely different, and makes alot more power, it's like having normal size cam shaft at lower rpms, and a larger lumpy one for high rpms.

My nb miata is the love of my life. She's swapped with a J32 and makes 250 na whp and is an absolute blast to drive. The v6 is only a couple pounds heavier than the stock 4 cylinder and takes nothing away from the handling. The power just compliments the car so perfectly you'd think it was built this way from the factory. The only issue is the stock gearing is too tight so I'm currently planning to swap in the 3.6 rear end from the ausie cars. After that and a new exhaust it will be perfect.

Last November I bought a one owner, 78k miles, 1997 M Edition that is damn near close to mint condition, for $5k. This car is amazing and there are tons of other Miata drivers in my area that like to link up and have Miata meets, drives, and track days.
