Hi, Penguin! Great video as always. One thing I'm looking for right now is a way to figure out the profit of milling herbs for your own pigments. I find it curious that craftsim doesn't tell you and most spreadsheets I've found don't have that info. Do you have any idea?

Thanks so much Grelm! In terms of a second profession, its really up to you. I really enjoy Tailoring, but all professions i would recommend besides Alchemy

Nice Video! Do you know where i can find out the milling profit?
I don’t have a spreadsheet or anything myself due to different proc rates and haven’t milled enough but I recommend just milling about 1000 herbs and recording your findings. You also may be able to find some info on Reddit if people post their mill data too.

But i have a question, Ive maxed out the skill and maxed out Archiving, Contracts and missives and 20 points in Shared knowledge and maxed Rune mastery but some of the missives like Peerless, quickblade and about 6 more are only 216 skill of the 275 needed. I do need to get blue equipment so that'll add another 16 points but im still pretty far away. can you please give me a clue as to what im missing please?

Hi Penguin, could you please make a video about the "hidden" profession bonus? I know Manthieus already made a video, but could you maybe do one on how much the racial bonus matters for each profession with that in mind. I'm thinking of taking it to the extreme and maybe maybe create a Kultiran toon with LW and Tailoring, since no race has a bonus to those professions. Thanks for all the videos and I'll look forward to more!

the issue I am having right now is the price of chilled rune, it makes it impossible to make any sort of big profit for missives

Do ppl sell the fortune cards on the AH or actually open em up?
If they are profitable, I sell them on the AH - sometimes I also use them to craft Fortune cookies with cooking. Opening them is for the gamblers out there :P
What addon do you to insta search on ah and what addon allows you to have both ah and profession tab opened at the same time?
The search is tied to Auctionator, to have both windows opened I use DeModal and Blizzmove!
@@Penguinr2gt Curious, may I ask why you use both DeModal and Blizzmove? I thought they would kind of do the same thing.
Good question! Both allow you to move around windows, but Demodal allows you to have multiple windows open. Blizzmove allows you to rescale windows by scrolling your mouse wheel and holding Ctrl (or whatever key you set). Technically if you only want to have multiple windows open, you only need Demodal but I like the rescaling aspect too

Hmm. You're certainly getting decent margins(as a %), but i dunno the gold per hour is worth it for me. Feels like you could make a lot more doing the same strategy with a higher value item. At 15-25g per craft, I'd need to sell 500-1000 per day for it to be worth organizing. Is the volume that high?
It ultimately comes down to how much you post/play but I have no issues selling tons a day. I generally craft the missives in bulk (few thousand each at a time) and they last me 1-2 days, sometimes 3 if I’m less active. If you are worried about time spent, I recommend putting a few more points into the middle node of the missives. You will gain a 10% speed bonus that helps a lot. Currently I’m at 75% crafting speed (with the phial) and 1000 crafts takes me 15 minutes
Love the videos, watching them as they come but EU (or my server) all missives are -3 to -50g each. I'm always sad to see that US actually make money from everything unlike we get it here in EU. Thanks for the time on this tho!

I think the best advice I could give to any crafter right now is: Stop using or thinking the term "waisted skill points".
Because that's literally not a thing. Patience is a virtue for a reason.
in my server ppl prefer to buy tier 2 inks instead of tier 3. Also it's not profit to make tier 3 according to craftsim 😓

Every single missive is hugely unprofitable on my realm.
In my server, prices are so low is worthless to try and sell anything. I've been stuck at lvl 72 for 3 weeks, no orders available ever... the way professions are now it has already failed (even if I like the revamp)
All the items showcased here are region wide - and most items in general are (anything that’s stackable) and that’s where I make all of my gold, I don’t touch the work order system. If things aren’t profitable, keep improving your stats, and diversify your stock. Professions are as profitable as ever
@@Penguinr2gt by no means I'm questioning your methods. In Tyrande-EU nothing works. Quests are broken, buff disappear, AH prices are ridiculous. A crafted item it's sold for 1/7 of the materials' cost.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but literally every single item I can craft; runes, missives, contracts etc are all negative profit with tons of knowledge invested. Might just be my server I guess 😢
All stackable items are region wide, so if you are on NA, you got the same prices as me! But it does come down to your points and stats. I’m willing to take more of a look at your setup, but it’s a bit hard to do thru comments, feel free to join the discord if you’d like
@@Penguinr2gt Ah yeah of course, I always forget about the region-wide changes! Thanks so much for the reply, I'll pop over to the discord and maybe post some screenshots of my setup. I sorted a few of the issues by changing my tool to a multicraft one and dumping 70k into getting from 80-100 skill, but most of the crafts are still in the red. I think the prices are just being crashed on the EU servers. I crafted a load of Howling Runes (rank 3) this morning as I managed to get guaranteed rank 3s now with the multicraft tool and they were showing a decent profit selling for around 90g each, but within a few minutes of posting them up someone has crashed them down to 37g and it's negative profit now. It's so strange... It almost feels like people have bots posting and buying constantly.
big problem is those who sleep in AH / I left Inscription weeks ago bc of that / In fact this is every crafting profession's problem / there is a lot of no life people in AH and bot a lot of bot
Any region wide market will have tons of competitors, just have to work against it or find niches of items that you can sell. Even if I just post once a day, I still come home to a decent amount of sales from these items and others
the ammount of cancel repost you would have to do on a high pop eu realm is not worth it
All of these items I show in this video are region wide! Some are more competitive than others, but I make plenty of sales with minimal canceling
it's all depending which server we choice. On my server inscription is not productive.

On big pop servers these margins don't exists unfortunately. All missives R3 missives are cheaper by at least 10-15g than the mats. Multicrafting has killed AH ...while inscription is still somehow relevant , alchemy and is rendered completely useless outside the transmute ( if that can be an argument). Multicrafting should exists only via public orders on BoP item - this should ensure a healthy (reagents - crafted items) flow in AH and bring a purpose/reason to have a profession.
All of these items showcased are region wide! So server pop doesn’t matter. And yes you are right, sometimes the mat cost is higher than the item itself, but with the perks of multicraft and resourcefulness, profit is still available, just have to craft in bulk

Let me share my conclusions on what Blizz has done to profs. 1. They made it a PIA. 2. They did this cause the old system of max out skill in 30 mins then endless farming to find that 1 or 2 rare recipes that make gold was boring. 3. Blizz increased the gold taps (higher prices for vendor trash, higher quest rewards, etc) such that just "getting stuff done" should provide you enough gold to get whatever items you need without increasing the gold sinks in the game (unless you wanna go the route of maxing out scribe skill by mass producing rolling pins) 4. The prof re-work and Blizz doubling down on a borked WO system (upcoming patch) goes to show you that Blizz's actual objective with the prof-rework is to take out gold sellers. Blizz is effectively taking out the AH by incrementally diminishing the value of the AH to the game play (again, upcoming WO system changes). 5. Granted, if you wanna do the old-way of maxing out prof skill, then yes, you need to watch gold making videos. But, and this is truly pathetic, it's actually easier to max out your prof skills by building an alt army and use them to place WO to each other (and your main) for high tier items and prof equipment. I dont expect WoW to survive as a game past the next expansion. Blizz has truly shown off how creatively bankrupt a company and with the game getting buggier with each patch cycle also shows off Blizz's disdain for the player base (and of course there are the recent comments by Blizz and outright robbing their employees that truly shows off what Blizz thinks about the whole WoW enterprise).
I’m loving the new profession system.
I remember when WoW was really fun to play. Now it's way too complicated and technical. I just hit level 70 and was about to do professions. No thank you, lol. Blizzard is creating a new breed of people and players with this kind of complex craziness. Immediately lost my interest in doing professions. Looking at the profits you're listing in this guide too is trash. It's really not worth the effort collecting and all that to get 3-30g per item. That's classic gold profit, not Dragonflight. Items cost 1,000's + of gold now on the AH.
For real man. I think I’m just getting old. There is so much now.
