- This video goes over my favorite and recommended Profession Specialization Builds in Dragonflight 10.0.7. These are the personal builds that I have been using and making lots of gold from, but these are not the ones out there! Many players have made tons of gold from other specializations, it all just depends on your play style. Thanks so much for watching!

Thanks Penguin! This is a great resource and a way for us to really think about how we do our specializations.
Thanks for watching Sabine! Im glad it was helpful
@@Penguinr2gt, I appreciate your videos. Is this still relevant for today? I have alts that need specialization help.
I think a good sidenote for the first tailoring build is if you pick up those resourcefulness talents and tool then you're also in a good spot to be making bracers for the enchant shuffle, poof more bracers out of thin air. I think people underestimate how good the extra % materials saved via resourcefulness bumps are. Highly recommend it right alongside inspiration as a base for any and every build and super agree in not focusing on the gear crafting order hullaballoo.
Yes! Disenchant shuffling is still very good
another helpful video, thanks!
i'm going to go herb + mining while leveling and then drop that later on. problem is, i don't know which two profs to pick up. this video solved that problem so thanks again!
Glad it could help! Thanks for watching!
Important note: if you want to specialize in tools as a blacksmith it is necessary to invest in weaponsmithing as tools are also considered weapons and some recipes can only be learned by investing point there.
Penguin, thank you for putting in all this effort to let people know how to make a buck or two. I have had horrible luck this expansion with gold, but honestly it's because I watched your guides TOO LATE haha
Thank you for watching them T! Hope they are helpful and you got this!
Please do regular updates of this video thank you for this updated summary and helping me choose profession after 12year break from WoW and starting fresh account.
I’m a miner and going to pair it with engineering while I thought that would be leatherworking.
I will! Welcome back to WoW, I hope you enjoy dragonflight!
new penguin LETS GOOOO
Hello, about the infurious scales and hides, do you need inspiration proc for level 3, and if you do is it actually profitable
nice video. everything is explained and showed. + timestamps. very good
Thank you Tobias!
nice video @penguinr2gt explained everything really in depth. Can you make a video to show us how to make a macro to advertise our products in trade chat with item rank i have been struggling with this one ty in advance.
I personally dont use any macro myself, but I encourage you to check out CraftSim's macro system and see if that fits your needs!
any changes to these recommended builds/paths now that we're in 10.1.5?
did you stay the route of not gathering on your toons. have a dracthyr im really considering dropping gathering and picking up my lasy 2 missing professions i dont have on my main group. also what the heck should i have my other alts have? though enchanting for more reagents especially with enchanting changes coming up. but what else is wroth slapping on the alts outside the main crafting group?
I personally never gather. Gathering is great at the start of your goldmaking journey since you have no gold, but youll quickly grow out of it once you start crafting. Its impossible to self-sustain yourself through farming your own mats. If you already have all professions covered, the Tailoring cooldowns are decent for alts (I just dont recommend it as your main source of income), or Alchemy Transmutes!
grats
I've always been confused about LW primal/elemental specialization, particularly about what bonuses apply to which items.
Hope this video helped out a bit!
@@Penguinr2gt oh it did! I watch all your videos and they're always super helpful. I'm having tons of fun with professions thanks to you!
The only way ive found to make gold with alchemy is to make the rank 3 iced phial of corruption, price difference between rank 1/2 and rank 3 for phials is insane however the iced phial of corruption cannot be guaranteed a rank 3 even with all specs maxed, only way is with a lesser insight. Using those plus batch production/resourcefulness etc i can usually spend about 20k on mats, and make back 55-70k depending on current prices however it is essentially just a way to turn your artisans mettle into raw gold.
Honestly that plus the fact that you need to use the altar of decay makes alchemy prob the worst proff right now for making money, i hope alchemy gets some serious love soon cos right now this just feels like the jewelcrafting expansion.
I'm curious what you would recommend for someone like me to start making some gold: I've just started on a new server fresh and have nothing to my name. I also don't want to sit on auction all day and micromanage things. What route would you take to start building up some gold?
Join farming groups in a raid finder.
Pick up two gathering professions - I generally recommend herbalism and mining over skinning since they work very well together. Then get out there and start gathering!
Is there a point to start leveling Pofessions now? Or i am too late and is it just time and gold wasting at this moment for new players in DF already?
You are never too late. You are still very early
I still using tailoring and alch cd, and make fine profit i think, but that because i have more alts so for one char, tailoring and alch will feel really bad
Yea transmutes/cooldowns are still decent, especially with an alt army! I just wouldn’t recommend it to someone picking up tailoring on a single toon (or single tailor)
I only watched the engineering part, because that's what I was interested in. You mention the profits available on crafting the different parts, but the margins seem very low.
For instance the Arclight Capacitor is 500g+ to craft but the profit per craft is only 8g. That seems like a waste of time (and after an AH cut it's even a loss).
What am I missing?
Sadly the market was not very good as I was recording this video, generally I have a lot higher margins but it just happened to be a time when the market was down, also improving your stats would help alot. My engineer still had a ways to go to actually be the best crafter of reagents. Lastly, the profit calculated by craftsim does take into account the AH cut already! So if it says 8g, that is 8g profit after the fee!
I've built a (small) empire, one bag at a time!
Beautiful !
what addons are you using that tells you the price to craft and how much profit you will make ?
It’s craftsim! I left a link to my beginners tutorial in the description to help anyone out
@@Penguinr2gt seriously, this addon is essential
do you need tsm if you use craftsim?
You don’t technically need it if you use Auctionator as your price source, but I still like TSM for tracking inventory, AvgBuy, etc.
Yea I've made mistakes in picking my professions before Dragonflight launched. I went alchemy/herb on main and engineering/mine on my first alt. Sigh At least i dont have to buy phials/potions on any characters.
There you go!
The problem with missives is the time it takes to craft them if you make your own chilled runes. It's so slow
I personally just buy the runes off the AH. the profit shown is by purchasing the mats, so you could spend the time to craft runes yourself for some extra gold, but like you said it’s very time consuming. Buy the mats and it’s super quick!

will gathering be huge in 10.0.7 and 10.1 ?
In terms of new items, nothing is new in 10.0.7. 10.1 has spores which can be collected as a side affect, but gathering is always something that will make gold, just not fantastic
Are any of these still valid as of today? I neglected professions at the start of the expansion and I'm trying to get into it. My main is alch/enchant, so I'm kinda stuck there, but I have an alt that I want to use to get into crafting and I'm wondering if I can still use this as a reference.
Mostly don't enjoy sitting in trade chat looking for crafting orders, so I'm looking for stuff like in the video (sellable in the ah).
Only big thing I would change on this list is put enchanting lower since margins are lower than before, but still profitable
@@Penguinr2gt Thanks for the quick answer! Great content
Good luck!
I do believe....Im first! love your video's!
You are! Woot woot! Thanks for watching
Your alchemy mean a channel is going to comedy way? ;)
anybody else having trouble making profits with weapon enchants? Seems like I can never make profit with them
Weapon enchants are off and on in terms of profit - I generally have success with writ enchants ever since I was able to guarantee quality 3 with a resourcefulness tool enchant
for alchemy pots and vial are have so low profit getting multicraft and saving with resourfulness mats its the only thing making worth that profession, the one thing I've noticed has a good profit is potion of absortion inhibitor, that item at Q3 is worth 2.8-3k gold, if pair with herbalism you can save some mats while farming, but honestly alchemy is the worst profession to make gold right now.
I even try to make gold with the recipe the elemental potion of ultimate power, the recipe cost me 350k and there is no public orders for that if they are ppl pay 1-20g, and even with all the proper knowledge points still need Q3 mats to ensure Q3 procs, you have to be very lucky with inspiration to proc a Q3 with Q2 mats, I'm waiting for 10.0.7 or 10.1 to see if we can get our hands in better alchemy gear to increase the inspiration and skill. Right know and breaking even because my guild has a raiding group hard core enough to raid on Mythic so they send me personal orders for the elemental potion of power but I regreat buying that recipe.
Yea alchemy is pretty rough :/
Hello, why did you give up TSM?
TSM has had a lot of issues with the new quality system in DF. It’s gotten a lot better but I haven’t had time to make a new profile and switch everything
@@Penguinr2gt Thanks for the answer
nice vid but 10.0 aint got nothing to do with it. Could´ve been uploaded 4 months ago and noone would´ve noticed. I think more interesting would be some ways which not everyone should know about after week 1- if you put some research on it. Like actual new content from 10.07.. Only ones who make profit on alchemy are goblins tho (the race) no chance to make gold on it as an ally btw
The title and inclusion of 10.0.7 is to indicate that it’s still up to date! I already have a video covering 10.0.7 and artisan curios if you are looking for new markets
