twenty minutes of louie is exactly what i needed right now
Agreed. If possible, I could have taken 20 hours of Louie.
This was the fastest 29 mins ever
Same
never heard of him yet he's so nostalgic about himself 😂
For real
just when you thought louie couldn't be more fascinating he pulls out the wood carvings. soo cool man.
yeah what in the actual fuck there, that's amazing that he carved that for them haha
To even hear Louie admit what decade of his life he is in was something else. Great edit.
i was like wait what 50s?
One dude that barely ages
hahah facts
@@benmorris8149 Louie just turned 21. Well, next year.
@@sarlurob 😂😂
Digging through the splinters of his old ramp felt metaphoric and deep
Louie is a damn gem. Grew up watching him in Man Down. Louie Forever
Tilt mode!
Man Down is a San Jose classic, Marc Johnson, Jerry Hsu? Jerry and Louie had good parts in Black cat too. + Bag of Suck.
Tilt mode army
Louis always made skateboarding look fun and was always a favourite of mine. This was a great feature.
King Lou! 👑💘
Ong
almost 20 years later, lou's still one of my favorite skaters of all time
No way! That's the Screw.
Louie, on behalf of skateboarding we can't wait to see what the future holds for you!
Im leaving this now knowing louie invented krux and mob
I did not want this interview to end. damn. smiles all day from here on out.
Don't change Louie you're a legend.
I’m definitely gonna rewatch this like 20 times lol I can never get enough Louie
This is like revisiting the concrete slab you first learned to skate at years later and seeing the exact same crack you used to stick your back wheels in when first learning to ollie, same as it ever was while everything else in your life has changed
Louie is still my favorite skater. I also feel the whole lost spots thing. I’ve been revisiting spots from when I was 14, I’m 25 now, and they’re disappearing. I went to school and have a job in what I studied but I’m still chasing that child joy. I’ve also been riding a bike in search of new spots.
I love this. this should be a series. i grew around everything and loved people succeed and seeing that emotion come out. limitless oof
from one rider to another. everyone would appreciate it. btw bmx save is still saving me
I damn near had a heart attack when Louie pulled out the G-Bag with TAGS ON IT 😍
you knew this was gonna be good , you just didnt know how good. dayum, this is double plus good
Took a road trip to SF with my sister and we just happened to stop in Patterson for gas, felt special to get a glimpse, was never expecting to ever see it.
the osiris shoe he held up here 9:03 , i had in tan and brown leather with a argyle brown print on the toe . i cant find an image of them online. dude just brought back so many memories
I Grew up in that little town is called Patterson , CA
When I was like 11 me and my friends used to go to that mini ramp on minimum days. Not knowing it was Louie’s. Then few years later we were street skating and he pulled up with a green mustang and told us if we wanted to go to his barn to skate a mini .
Me and my skate friends we were soo excited ! By then we knew who was Louie and the whole tilt mode army . Great Memories thank you Louie and Mob Grip !
This is the exact comment that I was looking for!!! I'm from Patterson, I grew up across the street from that barn!
I had an Osiris G Bag! i used the hell out of that thing. it was still at my parents the last time i saw it, i wonder if its still there! I was too broke to buy one, but eventually I won it from a local shops skate contest. They had a best trick contest at the end of the main street course contest and i won with a Boneless finger-flip 360 to manual. This would have been the early 2000's so tricks like that were all but unseen. the tre-flip was king as well as anything switch. I still have the little trophy as well. it has a gold painted GI joe standing on a tech deck and painted gold lol
Everything about Louie just makes me feel... good. I can't wait to see what he does next after Enjoi.
Absolute legend. Can’t wait to see what’s next❤️
If Louie is behind the wheel of something it's going to be rad.
This was phenomenal, I could watch Louie talk about his firsts all day, one of my favorite skaters ever. Had those shoes and rode the first kruxs available. Somebody should steal this idea and do it with all pros.
Good luck, Louie, we love you, mate.
Theres a reason he is my/so many other folk's favorite skater. Louie rocks
The energy in this video is so cool. It’s got me hyped for spring
Louie is a national treasure. This was awesome!
Love Louie! This was absolutely perfect. Love watching OG legends reminisce at there local spots. Reminds me of the young days. MAD LOVE LOUIE!
Quick Louie... Cash that Dwindle cheque!!
7:28: Oh sh!t plz MOB Grip release that never-made Cairo grip-tape 🙏
Also I can’t express how happy that makes me that Louie & Cairo still hang out after all these years 🙂
Hell yeah! My first ramp as well I bought the plans from Thrasher! Started trying to make a quarter, ended up with a jump ramp. 😅
This was so good. Thank you, Louie! And thank you, Mob Grip!
When I become a fan of a skater it’s not just their skating that is a factor. A lot of it is how cool the person is. Louie is the best. He seems like such a fun and down to earth person. Thanks for sharing this video. We need more people like Louie in this world!
Louie barletta is one of the best!
when I was 14, I had a friend whos father was a contractor, so they had tons of scrap wood, and they had like the whole floor from the room of a house stripped down to plywood. So one day I thought we could try building a mini ramp and use that floor as flat bottom. his dad let us use tools and idk how I knew, maybe from looking at our skatepark, but I had a vague idea how to construct it. We spent all day, used pvc for coping, and then finally tried to ride it. it was structurally perfect, so stoked on that, but man, did i fuck up the transition lol, went from flat to near vert in 3 feet. un-rideable lol. such a let down.
Louie is the fucking man. I feel like the skate industry overlooked how awesome he is as a person and his skateboarding
This was dope! Louie is the best.
17:49- Secret Agent Tom K., we've got a mission for you. 😎 Such a fun watch with nonstop tidbits. Glad to hear from Louie "Flatbarletta." He's next level for that wooden pro model model. 🤣
I recently moved back to my hometown after decades away. This one has me digging up alot of skating spots and memories ..time flies 🔥
damn now I wanna give krux trucks another chance after watching this haha Louie is the man
dude i need more from him. favorite from all time.
had to subscribe. thanks for making the best grip and sponsor ing lou
Hell yeah mob take care of this guy he deserves the best
This was refreshing to watch. So much history involved.
For someone who started skating in 98, this was a trip. Sentimentality of old skate spots is weird, you either get it or not. Louie is the best!
I need more of these please. Love the history lesson
Hes so genuine and happy ! Its awesome.
I don't know what the deal with dwindle is but I hope Louie always stays around in the skate industry. One of the most creative to do it and been a long time favorite of mine for decades.
Vulture capitalists bought it out and as soon as the economy wasnt red hot they butchered it for profit. The American way.
The mini ramp story was so epic! Brought back so many memories of me and the boys building all of the dodgy ramps we built🤟
“The naivety of youth. You don’t know what you got will it’s gon"…. That touched deep. I am 41 years old.
What a positive guy!!! Awesome video, Louie is the man!!! 🤘😀🤘
I used to love my Louie Krux Trucks. Happy to see he’s doin well :D
Cool to see him again ! This guy should have his own show !
This is awesome and feels like a jenkem video. Great job on keeping it real mob
I got a rail from your barn an still got it!
Hell yeah Louie still one of my favorite skaters man. Sucks about enjoi but you are gonna do even bigger shit now. Bet!
when i was little, louie and jerry's shared part in subject to change was pretty much my favorite thing. the rest of the video was straightforward and serious but those two just made it look like the funnest thing in the world.
Smile lines on your face are proof of an awesome life! Love ya Louie!
after 28 years of skating Louies still in my top 5
Louie is the poster child for skateboarding
Love Louie!
The skate gods may have not blessed Louie with a water-free skate spot, but they did bless us with this video. So cool to learn more about Louie's early career!
Good luck Chad! I’m excited for the series!
20:57 This is where he talks about inventing mob grip
love it when the video title is about a 10 second clip at the end.
great video by itself but dumbest pointless clickbait ever.
So Louie got that car when I turn 16 in the 80s? How old is this dude really? He hasn't aged a bit. I met him at skate camp in 99 and I thought he was a teenager. What's really going on?
Its a literal mindfuck
He’s 21!
19:08 "Even in your 50's it never ends" is Louie still trolling or is he in his 50's??
@@tvsavery666 i hope he’s trolling cuz I don’t want to him die
@@tvsavery666 Or realize he’s really, really old
This was gratifying,thank you!
More from stuff like that pleace,i can watch it a hole day 🥰👌
Amazing skater and amazing person. Perfect timing to show Louie, right as Enjoi ends. God only knows what dream he will conjure next round.
Great watch, rad dude, and legendary skater. Cool to see his roots, that full pipe would be insane to find as a kid in the 80s.
so rad how hyped louie getsnon the little stuff
Louie is great!! Anytime he’s in something I’m watching it
This was really fun to watch, thanks Louie !
Louie looks fucking great, what a beam of light this guy is
The GOAT
That was wonderful. Cheers Louie
Louie is the man.
Dude that barn mini-ramp must’ve been the coolest hangout spot as a kid.
Krux trucks are the most underrated trucks in skateboarding. They turn almost as good as indies and they're light af.
PATTERSON CALIFORNIA! WooHoo!! I know that hole in the wall! I ride my dirt bike through that pipe all the time!!
Awesome video... I still have a physical copy of the Thrasher Ramp Plans book!
needed this video for sure
give Louie a show!
The G BAG! 15 dollar check uncashed? The Osirus pro model. What a g
amazing video hope louie stays in skating somehow
Him and Gravette are my favorite human beings.
It’s so late and have been waiting to watch this all day. Thank you Louie Louie and MOB.
Most lovable guy in skateboarding ❤🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🤎🖤🩶🤍
a great watch!, i really hope louie gets to do something else in skating after enjoi !
legend!
@3:00 Etnies Screw, from ‘93-‘94-ish on that colorway.
@etniesskateboarding bring these classics back with the non-slip grip!
Louie the best ! 🛹🤝❤️
He's so happy in this 🙂
I didn’t want this to end.
I could watch 10 more episodes of this easy ❤
what a bloody legend
I could listen to Louie talk about his life and/or skateboarding for eternity.
Great piece, hope Louie finds a home soon!
Ha. the hunt throught the cupboard and all the Osiris stuff.
I worked in a skate shop in the UK with a UK Osiris rider who wore those shoes as chillers and loved his G-Bag so, this would peg those items to about 2002? or thereabouts.
Onto Krux. I had tried all sorts of trucks around the time mentioned above. Ventures, Royals (i loved) but Krux Downlows were perfect for me on a 7.5 board.
So awesome !!!!!!!! Do your thing Louie !!!!!!!! Build back better
