I like the term “Sasquatch style filming” because it feels like seeing Sasquatch is more common than Jake Johnson footage now days. Always quality stuff.
I watched the whole video and thought it was only 5 minutes long until he said "it's hard to talk for 35 minutes straight." Being so enthralled that you lose track of time is how you know it's good content.
I don't know how I stumble across this channel but boi Im so happy I did! Growing up with skateboarding in the 90's, Seeing the absolut peak arround 00's Oh this hits home! U will get loads of more followers! 💜
thank you for the content. I don't know enough about skating to be able to recognize all the tricks or if someone is switch or not. I love that you name the trick that's being done and if it's switch or not. It's helping me recognize more tricks.
The best video part to understand why Wade Speyer is one of a kind is Think's "Need for Speed". In 1993, in the swamp of the small wheels era, Wade was skating all kind of terrain with speed, pop and technicity. Really ahead of his time. There's a Thrasher "classic" about this part, and I can't recommend it enough.
Honestly dude your channel is awesome. I relate so much. I was born in 81 and would love to be a guest on your channel. You know quite a bit more videos than I ever got to watch but we agree on so much. I also do not have a YT channel but it would be amazing to be a part of your channels history. All of these videos are so dope dude. Let me know how to get in contact with you so we may collaborate. Ot would be so much fun.
Well said sir; this was great. Well edited footage is probably the best means of creating the illusion that difficult things are easy. There are few who are able to make them look effortless; can’t think of a better example than these guys skating in their prime with maximum panache. It’s a beautiful thing.
Great video! You have such a profound and deep understanding of skating/skaters! The commentary was 2nd to none, just hope to see you looking up at us next time. Thanks for sharing!🤘
Thanks for addressing this. The giga chad 35 min edit wouldn’t air drop. Compressed it and couldn’t see shit. So watched it on the phone instead of the tablet like usual. Part 2 won’t have this problem
Amazing channel. Please continue. A name I will mention: Eric J. In the early Think videos, early Antihero videos and DLX and Spitfire - the man has the sickest style on miniramp, likely, ever
@@TheGnarlyList that's right. recently more footage of that session was released on YT. Check out his Antioch skatepark and Novak's Ramp vids - they're sick
The Fakie-front si❤fde 180 he does is f****** amazing/beautiful!!! That whole line..... Everything from his fit down to his selection of tricks are clean & I couldn't imagine it being any better Honestly he totally executed it flawlessly. JMO
Good ass video, great knowledge, would love to hear a bit more explanation for why you like these skaters styles and what differentiates them from others
I just KNEW sine you are such a skate knowledge hound that I was about to see Gallants part from First Love. I watched that part soooo many times to get me hyped to hit a session growing up. That part, Ladds Really Sorry part were my go to's.
Wasn’t expecting to see Brent here. There are a few skaters who just made things look better than anyone could have even imagined. Brent is/was one of them. To skate a wall with 3 feet of vert and 9 feet of transition with the same relaxation he shows pushing down the street is unreal. In the early to late 2000s if he showed up any day at any park in Oregon you could just about guarantee that old hesh heads and young fresh/ hip hop style kids alike were going to go home with a different shaped brain than the one they had that morning.
@@TheGnarlyListBrent was always cool. Sort of a child prodigy and still humble. He definitely had a swagger tbat people always mistook for fake steeze or just arrogance but he was hanging around the streets and under thd bridge since he was really little so everyone who actually knew him knew it was mostly survival swagger and not just ego. Dude is certified.
Shimizu, Gallant, Jerry, Busenitz, and Darrell Stanton are my top 5. If i was asked tommorow my list may be different but these are the first to pop in my head Edit: Galiea Momolu
Great job man. Impressive. Thats alot of fast talking wo really no f ups. Harder than people think. Regardless of how many redos, still aint easy. Credit. Thx. Fun & interesting vid. 👍 🤙
This is the best new skate channel out there right now. Amazing job. I won’t hold it against you that you said Penny was a little overrated 😅 I disagree though
Most stylish skaters? Alva, Hosoi, Adams, Miller, Jay Smith, Ray Bones, Steve Olson, Mark Gonzalez, Lance Mountain, Shogo Kubo,Steve Caballero, Grant Taylor, Ray Barbee, Stacey Peralta, Brian Anderson, Brad Bowman, Tommy Guerrero....
Tom made that park look fun. Will say was pleasantly surprised how fun it is to push London streets. Fan of Brady, Jensen, and Chewy and the mix of old and new building materials made it a challenge but so rad. Cheers
Sick Channel mate, a few to consider from the day, Ray Barbee (Public Domain), most stylish no comply in the business. Marc Johnson (everything ) & The Gonzfather!
Finally someone said it. That is the most beautiful wallride ever the Jake Johnson one. Rivaled by maybe Natas surfing multiple frontside Wallrides in that one vidoe
I grew up watching the black Cat skate video as a kid and let me tell you that video was the best skate video of all time!!! you cant tell me other wise
18:28 not sure if it's the same one but Dustin Henry rips a couple tricks on this in the Lotties X Vans On God vid. Hope Dustin makes your part II all his clips with Frog are so good and every part he has with Etienne Gagne is amazing
Great vid! Forgot about Jerry and Brian, shame on me. Can't forget Mike V, and oh crap I forgot his name.....Oh Jeoff Rowley....wasn't he a Jeoff? ...or Geoff?
If Pat Burke isn't included in this list when you're done, you're just plain wrong. Agree with all the picks this far though! I've always loved the way B.A kind of swings his arms into his tricks, looks so smooth
Tony Tave should be on your list. I just rewatched his This Is My Element part and his style is amazing. Jimmy Cao is a great too. Its sad that his parts havent been uploaded in good quality
Goddamn Tave was so rad. Thought he was going big places after Koston did the TiVo thing to start his part. Cao and Eduardo Craig part to Dredio was all time
Bro really just mentioned Bakowski, Kirchart and Mac mf Dre all within the very first 10 seconds of me ever watching any of his content 😂. *SUBBED!*
Buk and Dre two of the most stylish to ever live on this planet
I like the term “Sasquatch style filming” because it feels like seeing Sasquatch is more common than Jake Johnson footage now days. Always quality stuff.
Crazy underrated this is channel is bound to go up
Hopefully not too many people understand what is really going on here. This is for the skate rats, made by a skate rat. Much love
You definitely know your history. 9 club needs you as a permanent member on the panel.
I like the jokes/callouts you put in, my fav was prob the "that smith was so good, almost makes lakai's worth skating" LMAO

Same. Flew by
Yeah, he def had to get in a 'zone ' to pull this off. Impressive
My lunch break is almost over but Dylan Rieder better be on this list.
What a sick channel keep it going
your delivery is solid. keep it up.
Jerry Hsu!! Killing it. So advanced for his time. Great points. He'd be killing it today.

Thank you for educating younger guys like me on people and parts I’ve never seen or knew
Yes mate 👏 Sick. Really enjoyed listening to you. Look forward to next parts
I love the monotone delivery of the script!
No script, but plenty of deadpan monotone
thank you for the content. I don't know enough about skating to be able to recognize all the tricks or if someone is switch or not. I love that you name the trick that's being done and if it's switch or not. It's helping me recognize more tricks.
Great concept, great stuff!
great selection & video, king
The algorithm delivered! Good stuff man!
LOVE this video! never heard of these guys, they are incredible. Cannot wait for Part 2!
So glad to see someone mention Zach saracenos style. He’s so sick
thanks for putting this together, i love to learn from people who know about skateboard history, please keep going!
Loving everything about this channel!!!
Subscribed! Carrol, Peralta, Hsu, Busenitz, Wilkins, MJ, Caples, last but not least, the G.O.A.T. of all time= Mark Gonzales!!!

I fully enjoyed this video, th play by play commentary & the skater selection too, a worthy batch. Look forward to the next one!!!
great commentary!
So glad you mention Zach Saraceno he has the best “clean” style of today
Played out. All the new kids trying to keep the hands down when they land and it looks bad when it’s forced
@ I agree I prefer sketchy skaters but the way Zach flips his board is 1 of 1

New sub watching from Ireland 🇮🇪
Killer videos my man 🔥
Who’s the Irish GOAT in your opinion?
@ loved Matt Hensley as a kid & Chris Miller just had such smooth style for days. Great channel hope it grows & grows mate
Well done, that was sick great watch
So right about Zach Saraceno. Style for days.
Fun vid to watch man!
Good ass video, great knowledge, would love to hear a bit more explanation for why you like these skaters styles and what differentiates them from others
Great idea. Will write some blurbs about each skater in part 2 before going off script on some tirade 😂

Was waiting for the penny school yard line🎶 and the penny windbreaker mini ramp butter 🎶
This channel is going to be sick
Just watched a interview where he says he’s on speed during mind field
I'm only 11:36 in, and I can already tell I'm going to love this. You speak my language.
Guy said Tom Penny was overrated with a straight face. Not many people can do that
