My family and I have decided to wear Full PPE leaving our House Moving Forward since some retailers don't consider public safety a priority yet. BE SAFE out there. I work at Walmart and three weeks ago we asked about wearing gloves and mask and we were told no, it would scare the customers.... A week later they started giving us gloves, hand sanitizer and that's it... Now all of a sudden we have people in this town testing positive (1 who works at our store) but we are not shutting down, they want that ever loving $$$$ .

Thank you for this walk about at Costco. I would like to add one item to talk about.
The Costco stores do require us to show store receipts, due to the fact we have
signed a contract with them when we pay our fees to shop in their stores. Walmart
on the other cannot force you to show them your receipt when leaving. The difference
is you did not sign a contract to shop at Walmart and Costco has in their contract that
you shall show them your receipt upon being asked. So you don't have to show your receipt
when leaving their store, also it means one less personal concact. If Walmart needs to verify
your purchase tell them to look at their damn security footage of your trip to the register, be
    done.
Shalom. Stay Safe, Bee Well, DFS People.

I work for Walmart. My store is making changes but too slowly. They are cleaning and sanitizing but to me not often enough. I also was sick recently and management did not care. They even asked me to come in on my days off knowing I was sick. I feel they will care when it’s too late. The best thing we have done is set aside paper products and other items for our senior hour. An elderly woman cried and thanked me for working.

most likely they don't have any due to people freaking out and hoarding the stuff. We still have trouble finding toilet paper, paper towels, bottled water, bleach, hand sanitizer, 90% of canned meat and veggies, and more in our town of 180,000 and we are in the dakota's. People are acting crazy with this hoarding instead of using common sense. It is all about the me,me,me attitude and this "crisis" is proving it in so many ways. If you want to stock up just grab 1 extra of the items you need (like 2 packs of toilet paper or paper towels instead of the normal 1 pack), not walk out with 3 damn carts full of one item.

@@DropForgedSurvival You guys do realize that there are medical profesionals across the country that are reusing PPE like gloves and masks due to a shortage in supply right now right? When an employee follows guidelines like proper hand washing, sanitization, and not touching their faces they can avoid contracting the virus just as well as if they had a full set of PPE gear. That employee wearing a pare of gloves will not keep you any safer unless they are changing gloves between each transaction which is wasteful in the extreme unless you knew for a fact each person your assisting was very likely to be sick like in a hospital situation which is where PPE is actually needed and if they didnt do that there would be same bacteria are on the outside of the gloves as would be on their hands. As long as employess are washing their hand and customers are washing their hands before going anywhere near their faces it doesn't matter if there was a glove or not. It's thinking like this that are causing shortages in PPE for medical professionals, which causes illness to them and thereby limiting the number of patients that can be cared for when it could all be avoided by following simple guidelines that have been set by the CDC.

    • @AB-tv3iz
      @AB-tv3iz 4 роки тому +1

      Lord Rahl 👆🏼100% truth
I don’t even think you can buy face masks of any kind anymore. Hospitals and Clinics everywhere are feeling the shortage, and they are the ones who need it the most. You wouldn’t want them to have to wear the same gloves that they wore while treating a patient with all of the symptoms of Covid-19 while they are treating you. They can infect to many people who are already sick and have a compromised immune system (that’s why there are at the hospital / clinic) it’s a scary thought but they are the ones who need the masks the most, when there is a shortage. They are having to wear the same gloves and mask a shift, it’s just crazy. So wash your hands like crazy and do your part to stop the spread

Hi! I am new to your channel, just found you guys yesterday. Loving the content! I am a single mom to 2 teens and 2 dogs. I am not a prepper by any means, but being on a limited budget since my divorce, I take full advantage of sales and coupons. So luckily, I had a lot of essentials already on hand. We are in MA and I work at a restaurant. Governor shut us down on March 16, I’m not complaining, better safe than sorry! Anyway, long story short, I’ve been trying to avoid going out at all. My last trip to Walmart was over 2 weeks ago and water was one of my main concerns. Our tap water tastes gross so I always just bought bottled water, anyhow, no water to be found in Walmart. And then I was like duh..buy a filter 😂🤦🏼‍♀️which is what I did and we’ve been loving it! I can’t believe how much $ I used to spend on plastic bottles of water 😒 All that to say 😂 when I went to Walmart over 2 weeks ago, you are right, no precautions at all 😕 however I did go to Walmart today, it was much different, all cashiers had on masks/gloves. Tape on the floor, wiping down the registers, freezer doors, etc. maybe they saw your video and decided to get their shit together 😂😂 they still didn’t have the wipes though as you walked into the store. Not that I saw anyhow 🤷‍♀️

If you think is bad just talk to the employees that are working through that. They tell me that Walmart dont give them any type of PPE stuff and they are pressure to even work harder to get stuff out. Just image how many hands and items that the employees touch and then they touch other items when stocking. Then you touch it and buy it. You see all these other major companies giving raises to their employees during this time and Walmart is only pressuring their employees.

As a Walmart employee, yep. I have hand sanitizer in my locker, I had to buy my own masks, and will be finding single use gloves to use each day I work. I am considering bringing in my own wipes as well, and using them, as I don't know how many people have touched the disinfecting spray bottle since the last time it was cleaned (if at all!), let alone the fact that the little wipes dispenser can have dried out wipes, and again, idk when it was last cleaned.
Edit to add: and a one time dinky bonus and having a usual, small quarterly bonus doesn't do much for us either. Typically the money goes right back into the store, because we're so tired from work, that we just shop there (plus our discount, whatever that's worth anymore...), or because other stores are closed when we get off. So they're making hand over fist, especially right now.

Our Walmart is doing a great job. They have wipes by the carts, the door people are cleaning the electric carts between customers and the checkers wear gloves. Also, they clean the little pens on the card machines after people use them. At the pharmacy, they have bottles of hand sanitizer by each register for customer use. I was pretty impressed. I’m sorry yours is being irresponsible.

There were wipes for thw carts which I used --one there and saving the second one that came out of the dispencer for later. In a halal shop the staff had gloves on and surfaces got a wipe. I used my second wipe to hit the basket handles. Little store doin it right !!!

You forgot some items...protein powder. It comes in bags or jugs, and serves as a meal replacement, or you can add scoops to some meals or baked goods. Not all protein comes from the end of a gun barrel or stores well in the freezer. I'd also put chia, hemp seeds as well as lentils on the list. Chia gets thick and can be used as a sort of egg white replacement for binding. Hemp and chia are high energy, good oily foods to put in the diet. Lentils are so versatile you can do a million things with them (albeit, not every option is a tasty one), also has protein.
