Pro tip, a good use for dryer lint and old candles is to take the lint, put it in a non styrofoam egg carton and fill it with melted candle wax, the egg spaces apart and you can use that as the base tinder for fires.

I really like gear showcase/review and I find them to be really instructive. Most people don't know how to tell quality survival gear from cheap brands that are just there to cash in. These kinds of videos help educate preppers in the making, saving them from bad purchases.
On a personal note, I also like those budged kit assembly challenges you make from time to time and would love to see that expanded to help preppers on a budget. It would be really cool if you could showcase a range of bugout bags (using gear you already have) to show people how to properly assemble a kit from 100 dollars to doomsday prepper levels of money.

Great info as always. A short bat would be useless I’d imagine. Pepper spray would be smaller, weigh less, and much more useful. Carrying concealed is the obvious solution to most problems, add a nice light and you’re even better off. Love that you’re thinking defensive though not everyone does

I recommend against buying and carrying the "Brooklyn Shorty" by Cold Steal. Cold Steel is a weapons company, mostly knives but all their products are weapons including the "Brooklyn Shortiy". If you get in to an altercation and hit someone with this - law enforcement and the guy you hit can say - this was a 100% weapon to hurt people there is no other purpose. In contrast if you have a $14 Target T-Ball Bat and a well used ball and glove it does the same thing, same weight, excellent one handed club, but it has a legitimate purpose - playing t ball, games of ball catching and hitting with little children.
I recommend all self defense weapons except real fire arm guns have some non violent, self defense purpose - like a hammer, bear spray, tactical pens and flashlites etc.
    I'm liking this video.

Decent cheap gear personally I like to spend a little more mostly for quality reasons but there’s definitely some great cheap gear out there great video maybe I’ll see something but my hiking/camping/bugout bags are so full already it has to really catch my attention.i have the fin hawk easy to sharpen holds a decent edge sharp spine great handle and u don’t have to worry about scratching up an exspensive grail knife. I’ve never seen a square firesteel and I own 20 of them one is an inch thick no joke with a fat handles and 6 inches long great camping rod but a little big and heavy for hiking. You should get those carbon fiber playing cards there under $30 when I bought mine and won’t get wrecked from water etc and helps with down time especially if your gonna so some gambling. As for fire starter I love the Area 51 impregnated fire wood or there fat rope. I also have the largest grill top that will fit in my bag. I also like kento make my own tent stakes saves a life weight and gives u a reason to use that knife. My favorite field sharpener is the lightweight DC3 from Falkniven medium ceramic on one side and diamond on the other and weighs almost nothing and works great unless u can’t sharpen on a stone in that case I’d try and find the best pull through sharpener but I’ve tried a few of the pull through sharpeners and wasn’t impressed.i use the 26800 mah anker battery and matched it with an anker solar panel so I always have power for phones flashlights radios etc.
