Rubbing alcohol in spray bottle and a lighter is a great fast way to kill fruit flies and gnats. Makeshift flame thrower, rubbing alcohol typically burns itself out without catching other things on fire. I have personally done this in my house many times safely. Always use carefully and responsibly.

I use isopropyl alcohol to de-ice the car windscreen in winter. Spray it on and watch the ice instantly turn to water and run off. I believe it increases the freezing temperature of water by 2 degrees Celsius and so if the ice is minus 2 Celsius then it suddenly has a freezing temperature of zero and melts

Hydrogen peroxide can also be used on apples and lettuce to keep them from oxidizing, just spray it on the cut edge. Also, better than aloe vera when you;re shaving is coconut oil. Also, you can buy shampoo in bar form, just like a bar of soap. It's been around a long time and has become more popular because of the liquids restrictions when flying.

I've been cheap longer than I've been a prepper. I learned long ago I could get a cheap bottle of ammonia and put about 5c worth in a spray bottle, fill the rest up with water and I had an all purpose kitchen / bathroom cleaner. You can also add a couple drops of Dawn. A lot more frugal than a $4 bottle of 409.

LOVE my peroxide!!! We've been using it as a gargle/rinse for quite a while. Even better to use right after brushing with baking soda & peroxide toothpaste. It can get a little...ahem...foamy when you do this however. LOL. I also got a bunch to sterilize while cleaning bathroom and kitchen floors. Great stuff and they still had plenty online at Walmart-- cheap and sold by the four packs. Grab it before it starts selling out too. 😁 Oh and... you got to keep the peroxide out of the light. Keep it in the dark, opaque bottles and in a dark space if possible otherwise it'll cause it not to work for long. It'll be like using plain water after a while.

I want to add that folks should keep an ample supply of soy sauce around as a first aid remedy for burns. Immediately after getting burned Apply to burn by soaking a towel with the soy sauce (low sodium is best) and then place the towel on the burn for as long as needed, relieves the pain and you won’t have a blister.
I’ve used this successfully on all kinds of burns - once I lit a flare and got the hot sulfur under my thumbnail - ouch!! I soaked my thumb in a cap full of soy sauce killed the pain and never got a blister. 😁 God bless everyone 🙏

Tom Catt no unfortunately you lose the germicidal effect rapidly but even at low levels peroxide is dangerous. Peroxide/superoxide is a carcinogen and toxin to cells so you should avoid drinking it even at low levels. In an emergency if I needed water and all I had was peroxide I’d react it with iron to drive the breakdown of h2o2 to h2o and o2 more completely but you should find safer sources for drinking.

As a cashier or any person who works with many people increases the risk of exposure. I would definitely wear a face mask (N95 or N100), and wear disposable gloves. Once you are home be sure to wash with warm water & soap for 20 seconds.

Now I dont know for sure if this "scientifically" kills viruses but I've been using a diffuser with this essential oil solution that claims to purify and cleanse your environment. Honestly I'm not a good judge to say for sure if it works cause I only get sick about once a year or 2 but it may be worth a go. If you do try just make sure your using pure, nontoxic oil and or safe solutions. At this point I think anything that helps even if just for morale or mood is a good thing. Keep the vids coming chris we appreciate ya.

Actually, conditioner works much better than soap (or even shaving cream/gel for that matter). I have been shaving my head for years and a 99¢ bottle of conditioner will last at least two months.
Its cheaper, doesn't dull razors as much, and gives a much better glide.

Witch hazel. Frequently over looked. Witch hazel.
Mix it with alcohol and water. About 70% witch hazel w 30% alcohol.
    Bammm
With THAT mixture you can then add an inch of water to extend it a bit more.
    Good job. M

I would only use what I know to work and nothing more. You can always keep travel size container of Hand soap 🧼, finger sprayer of water, and baggy of Paper towels when on supply runs and wash your hands on the go... or wash the cart if worried.
