I am laying on the couch not feeling good and you popped up . Oh yippee! Andys back! Thank You God ! this is exactly what I needed .Love the table music and that brander and you of course. Thankyou my friend for doing what you do.
Wow, you are so so welcome, Jackie....and thank YOU so much!! I'm so sorry you weren't/aren't feeling great - hoping you are on the mend soon. 😊💗🙏
If this is "just a warm up piece" I can hardly wait to see what the rest of Season 5 holds.
So kind, thanks so much, Linda!!
Glad season 5 is out. I wouldn't have thought what to do to that cute little table
Thanks so much , Brooke!
Yay...Andy's back with more Furniture Fables! What a great piece to start off Season 5! Especially love the copper leaf on the legs!
Yay, thank you so much Stefanie!! 😊
Love how you tried different things. You are encouraging me. And the best thing was the end. I love your banding tool ! The best wishes for you and your family in 2023!
Thanks so much , lovely to hear that!
My mother has the exact same table with a darker, almost black finish. Love the finished look of the legs with the metal accents!
Oh cool! Thanks so much!
Andy! How lovely to hear from you again! I found a big grin on my face as soon as I saw the title! Beautiful work! Congrats on the brand! Bravo! ❤❤
Yay, many thanks, Ruth!! 😊💙🙏
When you speak you are telling a story even when your not telling a story. Love the table
SO lovely to hear that, thanks so much Marina!!
JUBA DANCE!
Andy!!!❤
This is the first background music you’ve included that I can name!
I recognized it immediately because I learned it on piano as a teen. 😊
Delighted to watch your very first furniture fable of 2023, I’d paint one of my bedrooms to match this piece; it is gorgeous!🎉
YAY!!! Thanks so much, Cheryl, and so honored you enjoyed this first fable of the year!! 😊💙
Yay! So glad you're back! Happy New Year to you. What a fun project. Love the pretty blues and yes metal leaf is a blast to do. Hope you're staying warm. Our southern CA winter seems colder than usual. Thanks for sharing your new project with all of us Andie. Edited to say I can't wait to see the rest of "the gang." 😀
Yay, thank you, Karen!! Yes, chilly and damp around here! The gang appears to still be on vacation, but I'm sure they'll be back soon...😂
Happy New Year, Andy! I wasn't sure how this little table was going to turn out, but as usual, I trusted the process and your vision, and I was not disappointed. It's just so lovely and sweet! I love the blue roses and the copper leaf detail, so pretty. Looking forward to all your creative magic this year.
Happy new year! Yay, so glad you liked this one! Many thanks!!
Andy...this is such a beautiful piece. As always, you knocked it out of the park. I'm so excited to see that you can (or it's my first time seeing it) sign your creations. Looking forward to more of Season 5. Have a wonderful week. Hope to see you soon. Karen in North Carolina.
Yay, thanks so much, Karen!! Truly appreciate that. Can't wait to bring more of Season 5! 😊💙
This table is a work of art. Cheers to season 5🎉
Wow, many thanks Shannon!!
Andy that was some next level camera work and, I assume editing! I felt like I was painting right along with you😊
The table is so delightful 😍 I love the blending and the copper leaf.
Great way to start the new year!
Yay, thanks so much, Candace! Yes, lots of detail work to try to show...😅 Glad you enjoyed!
Yes it IS art. Layers on layers. Building and building on each layer. Very nice.
Thanks so much! 😊
Hello x great fun and so different I missed your side kick hope she is back soon .. well done good job as always xxxx… and you have been missed
Thanks so much, Christine!! Don't worry - I'm sure she will be back soon from vacation....😂
WWAD? (what will/would Andy do) I too will twirl my furniture! Seriously, I wasn't sure about the paper til the blending and blending...then, you gilded it with something I haven"t seen done on makeovers it is usually with wax but this technique looks richer especially with the black wax..LOVE your brander, great gift idea!
YAY! Many thanks, Sandy!! I agree - the look is different from wax - I'm intrigued and would love to do more. So glad you liked that brander - I'm so excited for it!
@@FurnitureFablesbyAndy Maybe a sponsored link for the brander, I bet it would be a success, I would buy it..
Andy- you're back!! Happy new year - and what a sweet intro! I love your creative darling masterpiece. So nice to have a Furniture Fable to look forward to again! Yay! (I've always wanted to 'leaf' something - looks fun!)
Yay, thanks so much, so great to be back!! So glad you enjoyed this one, and I've gotta say - that leafing thing could be a tad addictive! 😂💙
Happy to see you back - lovely piece - lovely thoughtful gift for their fabulous daughter!
Aw, so kind!! Many thanks, Delaine!! 😊💙
Inspired and lovely! The copper leaf touches--what a great idea! Perfect. Thank you!
Yay, thanks so much!! 😊💙🧡
Cyd in MD. I like the way your projects evolve. No original plan is engraved in stone 🙂
Many thanks, Cyd! Yes, love it when they develop naturally...😊💙
Super creative and unusual, Andy. It was fun to see some new techniques. I have to say, I missed Andrea’s snarky comments, though. I hope she is enjoying her cruise…(that’s where my imagination has her right now).
Many thanks, Barbara! Yes - Her Highness appears to still be on vacation, but I imagine she'll be back in town soon....😂💙
Sooooo pretty! The copper with that blue was *chef's kiss*!
Yay, many thanks!
Beautiful, and what a thoughtful gift from mom and dad ❤️
Many thanks! Right?? So sweet. 😊💙
I have that almost exact same table! Mine just doesn't have those extra vertical lines carved in the legs. I painted mine that almost exact shade of blue also, I stenciled a bow on the top of mine. I wasn't too sure about those roses at first, but I knew that you could make it look fabulous. I loved that extra step of the copper leafing also.
Oh wow, what a coincidence! So cool. Many thanks and so glad you liked the copper!
Happy New Year Andy! So nice to have you back. Love the table, and that Christmas Gift…. How thoughtful. 😊
Great to be back, thanks so much, Joyce! Yes - wasn't that awesome?? Here's hoping I don't go too branding-crazy....😂
OMG! The brander is soooo cool!
Right?? Thanks so much!
It's really very pretty, especially with the bands of copper. A a decoupager, though, I would have cut the roses out and spread them over the whole table. Even though that is very fiddly it is still less work than all the stippling, [and I might have put the copper on the edges of the table top, too.] Thanks, I really enjoyed this project!
Love your idea! Many thanks. 😊💙🧡
Oooooh I must have this brander
Yes, I'm worried I will go on a branding-spree....😂
Thank you Andy, I really enjoy your videos and I always learn something new ❤
Thanks, my friend!!
Hello Andy. Welcome back!! What a fun little lovely table to work on. I love the decoupage paper. Well done!!👍❤️❤️
Thanks so much, Teresa! So glad you liked that paper, and great to be back! 😊
Just perfect! As I was watching the process I kept thinking: Add some gold or silver leaf to the swirly parts Andy! I've done a lot of gold leafing over the years, and I always love the results. I had a very dark color gateleg table which I painted and did the same gold leafing on the legs. What a great gift from your parents. So good to have you back!!
Wow, thanks so much, Gloria!! And so glad we were on the same page with the leafing - soooo fun!!
Precious piece Andy! You are just the coolest..love your jalousie window!! Keep creating. :)
Wow, thanks so much, Rachael! And yes, I like that old window too. 😊💙
So glad to see you again! With all the rain in Northern California I was getting worried that you had been washed away!
Thanks so much, Jeana! Yes, we got a tad "soggy" but are doing great! 😊💙🙏
Such a unique beautiful piece...and yes, it is art!
Thanks so much, Sharyle!
Yey to trusting the process. Beautifully done.
Many thanks, Kelly! 😊💙🙏
Gorgeous! For me the piece gives off Royal Daulton and/or French Toile vibes. It would beautifully showcase someone’s vintage white hobnail milk glass vase or pedestal dish.
Ooo - LOVE that, Marti! Many thanks! 😊💙
Oh Andy! This is wonderful and fun. When you pulled out that gold leaf, I gasped. I was so. Excited. And that brander! I need that soon.
YAY! So glad you enjoyed, and yes! You need this brander, it is too cool!!
Love the copper leaf. How bold and fun!!!
Yay, thanks so much!
Happy New Year!! You've been missed!!!
Thanks so much, Maria!! And a very Happy New Year to you! 😊💗
Well done! Of course it’s art. Great start to New Year! Glad you’re back!
Wonderful to hear that, ad wonderful to be back! Many thanks. 😊💙
Wow! Very creative!
Thank you! 😊
I enjoyed watching you experiment with new techniques. I liked the gold leaf application but I felt that you could have stopped adding paint to the top a little sooner. Anyway it was a nice project.
Many thanks! Totally get that. 😊💙
Glad to see you again, Andy! This was a great project to start the new year.
Many thanks, Kristine! 😊💙
the gilding looks fab... imagine what painterly could do if she had a Boho phase... but Iwas waiting for you to stipple into the stark white, somehow... nice to see you again....
Lol, so true! Thanks, Sara.
Yay ,a new video for the new year! Now, you know I am not a fan of painting solid wood furniture, but of course, Andy can do now wrong in my book. And this piece is no exception. I absolutely love the design, your creativity knows no bounds. Then you brought out the copper (my personal favorite metal) and I was swooning!
This cute little table gives me granny vibes. Like a sweet old grandmother who bakes cookies and sits by the fire doing needle work. So soft and sweet with a glint in her eye. Beautiful.
I love the new brander with your logo! What a great gift. You could name it (I name my tools) Marlon Brand'o. 🤣
Yay, thanks so much, and I LOVE that granny with a glint visual!! Ok, and now I'm going to have to think about that name thing...hmmmm...😊💙
This was a delight to watch. You were having such a good time, I could actually feel it! I have always believed that it’s never too much when I’m creating. My piece will tell me when it’s done! Also, welcome to the addictive world of leafing! Once you start, it’s really hard to stop! I love everything you did to that little brown table. Her personality and charm is apparent now. Happy New Year, Andy!🎉🥂🌸
Hooray!! So glad you enjoyed it, and love how you put that! Happy New Year to you, Deborah! 😊💗🙏
Just gorgeous and artistic!
Yay!! Many thanks, Carol!!
What a fun video! I love all of your embellishments and to be honest I didn’t think I would. It’s an adorable little art piece.
Thank you so much!
So beautiful and creative really a piece of Art ❤
Many thanks! 😊💙🙏
Fabulous darling, Biff approved 😂
YAY!! Since Biff and the gang are still on vacation, that's comforting to hear. 😂👍
So lovely!
Thank you, Katie! 😊
The copper really made it pop... very un-expected but beautiful .
Yay, so glad you think so, thanks Agnes!
Happy new year Andy! Its wonderful to see you again. I love the new techniques.
Happy new year, Gina! Many thanks!
Cute table! The floral pattern and those blues are my fave- reminds me of those blue china plates. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas & Happy New Year! Excited to see all the cool projects for season 5 🎉🎉
Thanks so much, Sharon - and yes, same here re the china plates! 😊💙
Love the little table. The colour is gorgeous. Can't wait to see more videos like this. You're doing great. Happy new year to you and your family.
Wow, thanks so much! Lovely to hear. 😊💙👍
Art is definitely a process!! Beautiful and I love the copper leaf so much better than the gold. 🥰
Absolutely! Many thanks - and so glad you liked that touch of copper. 😊🧡
You’re back! I hope you had a fabulous Christmas and New Year’s! I’ve been checking for a new video from you almost every day so when I saw you posted I didn’t quite believe my eyes! Yay!! 😂❤
Yay, so great to be back!! Thanks so much, Katie - we had a great holiday, and hope you did too! 😊💙
Happy New Year Andy! I'm so glad that you're back. Once again I had my doubts (old lady table I thought) and once again I should know to trust your artistic and creative eye! Beautiful 😊
Thanks so much, Carolyn - that is so awesome to hear!! 😊💙
Wonderful results!

Hi Andy wow you really exercised the creative artist in you I love this piece it's an incredible tranfermation I like the rice paper addition and the blue colour you created out of the champness and navy blues and I was actually intrigued when you once you started addj the the darker b,ue to the top but the result is beautiful i really love the paper on the legs as well but gotta say the gold leaf and both waxes perfected the table absolutely gorgeous, thanks for all your tips I'm definitely inspired to try something like this too,all the best always Mary in Australia 🌻😊
PS sorry I've been absent, but am back now and will be catching up 😘
Hi Mary, so glad you enjoyed this one! This was for sure a bit of an experiment, but lots of fun. All the best to you! 😊💙
I love the blue and copper!
YAY! Same here...😊💙🧡
This is a beautiful table!
Thanks so much, Susan!!
What a transformation!!! Always love your videos💞
Thanks so much!! 😊💙🧡
Where do you transition from “refinishing” cast off pieces to creating a piece of art? This project certainly lands on the art side. The creativity content is exceptional and the subtle appearance of blue rose images demonstrates mastery of technique. AND, the surprise metal highlights ground this magnificent study in blue. This art piece certainly deserves its brand “Furniture Fables by Andy.”
Wow, thanks so much! Not sure where that transition occurs, but it is fun to venture into those more artistic waters. Especially since now I can mark my work so beautifully. 😊🙏💙
Love love the brander ..what an amazing gift❣️❣️🤗
Right?? So awesome. 💗💗💗
Nice to see you again!
Thanks Cristina!!
Beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
So beautiful my friend...I love letting go and being creative on smaller pieces and just having fun and getting back into the creative mode ....Such a pretty table🥰👍

Love your new brander!
Yay, thanks so much!!
New subscriber here! I love rescuing furniture and breathing new life into it! This definately appeals to my artisctic side so glad i found your short. But would love the ordering info on your branding tool it adds the professional touch!
Awesome! Thank you so much, Arlene! I believe this is where my folks got my brander: www.etsy.com/listing/747298977/custom-branding-iron-for-wood-electric
Lol….had my doubts at the start but you nailed the finish!
Thanks so much!
So pretty… probably easier if you use water to cut vs cutting it with scissors not so stark lines. But pretty 😊
Yes, love that suggestion. Up close and at the right angle, you can see those lines.
Yea your back!!🙃 And the piece is Beautiful!
Thank you so much, Gayle!! 😊
OMG a new video! I hit the 👍 and commented, now going to watch!
Hooray! Hope you enjoy!!
A tip for next time... the paper edges will blend in better (and probably mold into shape better on the curved areas) if they're actually torn instead of cut... creating a kind of "deckle edge" that will blend in better with this technique. Nicely done anyway!
Great tip, thanks so much!
Welcome back!
Thanks so much!!
Really nice piece!
Thank you very much!
Beautiful! When you put the paper on I thought "0h no", but it turned out gorgeous.
Yay, so glad you liked the paper!
Wow! I have missed you! So glad you are back! But I just have to admit, I thought you had fallen off the deep end with this one - paper flowers cut / torn into odd shapes then glued onto wooden furniture?! Then painted over - but not really. OH my! The end result - as usual - is stunning! But tell me - in the interest of long term use of this beautiful piece - how does it hold up to dust with all of the different textures - paint and wax and gilding - knowing how dust settles so nicely over time - do you have to dust daily? Or does the dust add to the piece? Do the waxed parts harden - or are they a bit sticky? I'm confused when it comes to that wax you are using.
Many thanks, Sandy! And that's ok - I totally get that! So as far as the use of the piece - it is painted with an all-in-one paint, which means the paint already has a topcoat/sealer in it. The areas that have the decoupage paper are sealed with a separate topcoat, so the top of the piece is like any other - absolutely fine to be dusted, or to have objects on top of it. As far as those gilded areas that are waxed - that will "dry" and harden to a matte, smooth finish (not sticky).
Could u do this with paint inlays?
I'm not sure I understand?
