It’s so interesting how many new sects of Christianity arose during the early to mid-1800s. I guess it was during the second great awakening, but what was it that was really awakened ?

I've noticed a lot of bad URLs for the cult materials on your website. A reupload on UA-cam is great! Thanks for these.

Thanks for sharing. I know some of brigham Young. You taught me of his organizational skills more than I heard of.
I heard of the fighting against us army. Sad occurrence that people in general start wars over religions which should be about love. It's seen throughout history like the Catholics and Muslims fighting.
You're explaining of the structure is very good. It's a layclergy who work secular day jobs and don't get any pay for being the Bishop. For smaller than ward it's a Branch and the leader is called President not Bishop.
General Conference is when announcements are made as well as talks aka sermons from church leaders.
Good explanation of the two levels of priesthood. The Aaronic is more of an earthly priesthood and Melkizadek a more spiritual one. Both are in the old testament as you said.
Correct about the quorums. Like the 12 apostles, the 70 which is in new testament too.
There have been some changes as of 2019 with women in the church. I am not sure of all the details but they have more spiritual authority now then now.
I greatly disagree about how marriage relationship is in LDS church.
You made an error on exaltation. A man can't have exaltation, being on highest level of heaven as a single man. Man and women need each other! It's a covenant with God and between husband and wife too.
With persons of color not being priest is dark stain but at start of church they had more authority then that was taken away. It was a different time at early days of church. Slavery and racism were the norms unfortunately. It's hard for a culture to change in general, which even Pres. Abraham Lincoln spoke of (which I read in the book, Lincoln's Virtues an Ethical Biography).
I've seen some pretty powerful talks/sermons in sacrament meetings. I've given maybe 5 over the years. One was in front of a few hundred people which was a little scary. Lol.
The love and fellowship is great at LDS church. I had lost my parents and felt more love from LDS people then others at other denominations.
Family home evening is usually on Monday nights where family and friends gather at home to have spiritual discussion and have whole some family time playing board games or something.

It's definitely true about saving for catastrophies and job loss family member loss. I don't think a lot have two years of storage since that can be expensive and the space for it even .
Temple marriage is for eternity which people in other religions would want since you are with your family in heaven forever. A lot of other denominations think you will be with family again in heaven but in LDS church there are religious rites on how that's done.
I've heard about the founding fathers having baptisms done for them. If it wasn't for them their wouldn't be the religious liberty there is in the USA. It's my own opinion that the USA is based on judeo-christian values.
I'm sure that guy was joking saying she saved more people than Jesus.

    Dear Brother Gore,
I feel that you have an honest spirit, and are truly looking for truth. However, as an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints,
( "Mormon") I listened only a short time before discovering some glaring inaccuracies. As a student of early church history it's important that your listeners know that Emma, where she struggled with the doctrine of polygamy, never turned against her husband, and was not the backer of the reorganized Church of LDS. It was Joseph junior, after being pressured by those who remained behind in Nauvoo. Emma never went to Missouri after that. She remained, and is buried in Nauvoo. Also, Joseph Smith was not martyrd in the streets of Nauvoo, but was shot while in jail at Carthage Missouri. These inaccuracies cast doubt on your entire presentation.

Oh please get your facts right!! As a Mormon, I believe in the Bible and Jesus Christ. I have enjoyed your teachings on the historical context of the Bible! I am disappointed that you got so many things wrong with our beliefs and practices. Please contact me if you want to know the real doctrine.

The bible "as far as it is correctly translated" and Jesus "the spirit brother of Satan." I find Mormons don't really know what their faith teaches, just the veneer on the face of it. Esoteric versus exoteric...like its brother Freemasonry.

Unfortunately Mormons have been sheltered from unsavory parts of their history.
