    • @willw.1466
      @willw.1466 2 роки тому +34

      Absolutely. Also I just noticed how his face turns from protraying smugness to shame at 0:30 when he realizes how long he's been standing there. He's just a bully, but he thinks he's better than that, so he "snaps out of it" when he feels the camera on him and it forces him to reflect on what exactly he's still standing there for. Incredible acting. Adds depth to the character that likely wasn't in the script. I think it's more obvious when you play it from about 0:22, to get a feel of how long he stands there. It's just a moment too long, and if a camera wasn't there, as has been the case his whole life, he would have exited guilt free and without even understanding his own behaviour, because thats how he's behaved all his life. But when he sees the camera, he's smart enough to realize what a pathetic bully he is being. Like he's been walked in on masturbating.

    "Sorry, can we not talk about my dead mother's breasts?" Is probably my favourite line in anything ever.

    The even funnier part of this is later on the way he digs himself even further into a hole with his people watching observations.... Presumably when we turned you around and did you from behind.....lmao !!

    That awkward moment Brent says "duck pate", if only he had one of Keith's scotch eggs to bite into right there.

    Ricky is very talented, but only when he collaborates with Steve. Merchant and Gervais are duo, we need Steve's observational skills and Ricky's cringeworthy not the badly written Special Correspondents, fun but bad. Hopefully the lads can get back together again, soon.

      +Lewis Cranston yep i was thinking the same after i watched special correspondents. office & extras both amazing, but i couldn't get with derek or any of ricky's movies. not bad, just pretty eh.

      Onmysheet So am I. But I have feeling it's going to be a lot more 'hollywood', judging from the full trailer. Smerch needs to come back for Ricky to forget his hollywood ego and return to his roots.

      Secret Guy Nope, it was absolutely awful. The OP is right about Gervais doing his best work with Merchant who acts as his filter. It's a bit like Brian Clough with Peter Taylor in football... Without Taylor Clough had his moments, but never near the success he had with him.
