    For any person who is currently struggling with bell's palsy, i PROMISE you that you will heal, just make sure you take your vitamins/meds daily , do facial exercices and to take care of your eye and also make sure you sleep well and don't stress yourself! I've had bell's palsy for over 2 weeks now and my smile is starting to get better , my right side doesn't hurt anymore and my eye is great! I'm so so happy and grateful for that because it really destroyed me mentally and I couldn't even smile for days. I just wanna say that it's not the end of the world and you will heal faster than you can imagine. Love ❤

    Thank you for your informative, high quality videos, with clear explanation of this condition and how to take charge of your own recovery. I am watching and saving all of them. You have given me hope that recovery is possible within patience, time, and work. I had an accidental fall in my home a few hours after being diagnosed with bell's palsy, breaking my nose and causing head trauma. So that has added to an already unusual condition. You are doing a great service to people all over the world who suffer from bell's palsy. Thank you from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania!

    You are completely brilliant and you respond with such clarity and simplicity to a very real need that all facial paralysis patients have. I have downloaded all your videos and practice them gently throughout the day. I have recently had GBS syndrome which has affected my face and legs. Would you be able to share the exercises required to regain strength and expression to these areas? I have a debt of gratitude for your work. Thank you.

    I got diagnosed w BP back in June 2019 I started doing massages right away , unfortunately I think this lead to synkinesis. After doing more research massaging right after being diagnosed can cause more harm .

    Hi Mom, I had bellspalsy since June last year, before I had bellspalsy I had a lump behind my ear. I haven't checked what the cause of the lump is because I don't think it bothers me and my doctor said it not cause bellspalsy. Since I was sentenced to have Bellspalsy, I routinely go for acupuncture therapy (2x/week)but for the past 2 months I stopped it because a new lump appeared under an existing lump and it hurts when I push it. to check for this new lump where should I check? Is it a neurologist or internal medicine? and is it my old lump that makes me had bellspalsy? thank you and have a nice day

    • @donearl04
      @donearl04 Рік тому +1

      @@skyshark0326 I’m doing great! Im at 100% recovered now. It was very scary at first because nobody in my family had any known history of it. The worst was on may 26 and on june 14th it was about 75 to 80% good. Now it’s disappeared completely. It was depressing at first because the exercises seems have no effect. So I think what helped me on my recovery journey was doing the exercises and not really worrying about the result. Every morning when I wake up on the 3rd week I seem to move little parts of my paralyzed face. That gave me hope that everything will be alright. My advice is to trust the process. Don’t overdo or be hard on the exercises. Be gentle with your massages as this is crucial for the recovery. Remember, you wouldn’t run if you had a broken leg right? Same concept as with the face.
      I hope this comment will serve as a light of hope for you guys as other comments served me during my recovery. Dont worry too much. You’ll be alright

    I know this is an unsolicited answer/advice but I am 3 wks in and my smile is at 95% and I can blink my eye, but not wink yet. My eyebrows are almost even. This is my story if you are interested. This was so devastating to me! I hid from everybody including my husband. Fortunate for mask protocol due to Corona , I started leaving the house a week ago.
    My 1st symptom was 2 days of someone stabbing my head up and behind my ear (like where the arms of my glasses sit. I think I might have damaged the nerve by falling asleep on that side while my glasses were still on.) and I was so tired. Then on Saturday mid day, suddenly, my mouth felt like after dentists visit. I could feel, but no muscle reaction and my eye would not close. I thought a stroke but my arms worked. Then I remembered that my sister had this many years ago, and I looked exactly like what she went through. I did not go to doctor because even tho I have insurance it still costs alot of money out of pocket. So I loaded up on vitamin B12, turmeric, and my husband insisted on zinc and B6 also. Oh! Very important!! You need lubricating eye drops in your eyes, like, alot! And tape your eye shut at night. Seriously, I was doing my best to keep them slippery, but I am a bit worried because I feel.like my now blurry eye might be damaged. They say you can get permanent damage or even go blind. And then there is The pain in the side of my head hella hurt! It also started hurting on the top portion of my ear flap and also down my neck behind a slightly swollen gland. It hurt so bad. Luckily it was all superficial pain, like in the skin and not in my head (tumor), or in my ear (ear infection). Heat or ice didn't work. The breeze from the fan hurt! But hot showers were a blessing. And I found a strong mix of peppermint oil in almond oil was my savior! Applied on all hurt spots, whenever it hurt which was many times a day. Yesterday was my first pain-free day. Today a little. I'm sorry this was unsolicited advice, but I hope it helps.
    I did this massage on day 2 and for the next 8 days my face felt sooo bruised, along with the stabbing pains, and looking like Herman Munster, I was miserable. monster.

    Hi Dr, I am suffering from nerve palsy 2 months ago and just recently saw your video. Please advise can I start with facial exercise and continue with massage for 2 times a day? Thank you. Can I use essential oil as skin is very dry?
