- In this video I show you guys my new Slee Offroad rock slider steps. Though I think they look great on my 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition... I wouldn't recommend the company. Budbuilt is the way to go in my opinion.

I have slee sliders on my heritage edition. The slee staff has been excellent the two times I have contacted them. The fit and finish are excellent. If you are going to install these your self and don’t have much mechanical background hire someone to do it. The sliders are great.
Glad to hear they’ve been great to you. Far from my experience. I’d rather support a USA company anyway for stuff like this. Budbuilt sliders were superior and easier to install (without frame drilling)… see my latest vids if you haven’t.

I have a new HE as well and was also considering the Slee and BudBuilt sliders. I ended up talking to Bud and Rob at BudBuilt and came to the same conclusion about the companies you did. Lucky for me Rob found a set of rock sliders for me that were somehow unsold and only a week out so I snapped them up. After watching Rob’s install video on UA-cam I’m paying a local shop to install them next week! Enjoy your HE and looking forward to more updates!
Slee made a fully modded heritage edition and it is pretty sweet. The guys over on TFL Cars reviewed it .
The Slee Sliders look great! I also appreciate the admiration you have for my brothers and sisters serving and who have served our country. I agree with you on all of your points. I have Slee Slidersteps on my FZJ80, and installing them was easier than yours but still there were a few things I didnt like when installing. I worked it out and they're great and look very factory looking. Luckily I didnt need any special tools to install! My dad (who also served) and I took an afternoon to install them.
You’re a good man. Thank you (and your father) for your service! I honestly wish I had a better experience with Slee... it just wasn’t very good. =/ though I can’t knock the actual product, it’s certainly robust!
@@UntamedMotors I appreciate the support. Today actually marks the day I left for BCT. If I had it my way I would've put ARB steps on but they required too much modification to make them fit. Slee makes a great product. And they have been in the Cruiser game for a while now.
Thanks for insight into Slee sliders. I have a 2021 HE. About to install same with the help of my local Toyota dealer. Question for you: Time for new tires. KO2s are top of my list. 285/65/R18s, which are slightly taller than stock. What size did you install on your LC200? Any issues with rubbing? Also curious if your LC200 has a lift kit installed?
Hey thanks man. Those are the size of KO2s I put on mine. I have put them on a few separate times on the few LC200s I’ve owned (have a few videos sprinkled on my channel). No rubbing. No lift. 👌 Definitely recommend.

Hey @Brooksz I used to have a 100 and had white knuckle sliders, I really loved them. I've also seen the SLEE Offroad sliders on the 100 and they are amazing quality as well. You will be happy with either product.
As far as the 200 series sliders I think there are better designs for mounting of sliders than rivnuts. Metal tech, white knuckle and Bud built all use around the frame bolts that look like "C"'s and bolt through the slider.
Thanks for the info. decided to order the bud built for my soon to be 200...got my Toyota guy looking for a new heritage but if he can’t track one down, standard it is. Can’t go wrong either way.
I first heard of Slee from a recent TFL vid on the land cruiser. The sliders go for over $1300 for a tundra! That’s insane.

Wow, are you sure that they weigh that much on BOTH sides, instead of altogether? The ones that I have coming are pretty damn tough, and they weigh 115 lbs total.

What is wrong with Slee?
Doesn’t the LC200 have KDSS and the T4R Pro doesn’t? Therefore complicating the LC instal and design.
Elite-ist is what I think you were going for with Slee’s attitude as you explained it.
Nothing. Product is good... my customer service experience wasn't ideal and their directions are terrible imo. I typically only support companies who support our troops -they don't.
Haha yeah, you're right about the elitist... and yeah the KDSS is certainly a factor. Don't get me wrong, I think these are great products... just not happy with my overall experience from purchasing to install.

Bud built told me 12 week lead time. They arrived in less than four weeks.
Ended up buying this today lol quick question - are there any significant differences between the Slee rock sliders on their website? One version is $995, the other (which you have) is $1185. Looks like the simpler ones have less components and are made just for the LC? Let me know what you know! Thanks and super excited to own one.

Kinda off topic but noticed past two videos (Land Cruiser) the quality is not 1080p anymore but 720p? Anyway wished the Tundra was built like the LC, can’t stand the cheap plastic interior during the test drive.

Bud built is so much better imo. Slee sliders are boring… and their customer service was awful. Bud built felt like a family friendly experience

It’s a bit much saying you wouldn’t recommend the company because you don’t like installing the sliders and clearly don’t understand the engineering that goes into Slee products… the company is the best in the business quality-wise, and support-wise.

I purchased my sliders for my 200 LC from White knuckle offroad. They only do sliders. Beefiest of them all. Check it out.
Yep, I checked them out too... I think those are better than these tbh. Good choice! The ability to just drive a couple hours to pick these up was a huge perk of Slee...

Seems like a waste of weight and money for your use case... just need side steps. And the ugly is what the metal on frame contact and frame drilling will do to promote rust.
