- In this video I list off some Pros and Cons in owning a 2020 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition. This thing is a beast... no real “con” in ownership to be honest.

Black landcruiser is the best color! This looks stunning!
I just got the Heritage Edition in white and love it. As you said the reliability was the number one reason and also no 3rd row seats. I plant to travel to all over the country including Alaska and Canada mostly alone. LC is a perfect for me since it gives me freedom to go off grid vs having C-class. Not over-landing just boon docking.😁

@@clydereaves4064 they’re the Slee Off-road sliders. I wouldn’t recommend them. I’d lean toward Budbuilt. 👍
Nice. I had a 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser for 11 years. With. 350,000. Miles. Now I’m driving a Lexus Gx 460. You can’t go wrong.
ALL Toyotas are built this way... mah 1995 Camry has like 300k on it and is rock-solid

I do not mind it being dated. As you said, it just works. I wish that they would keep a V8 in their lineup somewhere. Glad to see you that you are happy with the vehicle.
ikr! Can't believe they're doing away with it... even though it has such a following. Perhaps it hasn't generated enough revenue in repair work... they needed to implement a "better and faster" motor that can break sooner. =] idk

I liked when you talked about value, there are a few tiers in my opinion, brand, make/model, limited number, Toyota’s are great values holders, land cruisers even more so and a heritage edition, it doesn’t get any better.

Excellent video Untamed, keep them coming. On market for 2016 TLC (without power lift gate). Exactly how heavy is it to push down and especially lift up manual lift gate, top and bottom. My wife is recovering from spine surgery and would have trouble using if too heavy. Thanks in advance.

They are saying 2021 is the last year for this bad boy in the USA. I am going to grab a Heritage in Gray (new color option for 2021). I too am oddly attracted to LOW VOLUME selling vehicles. Everything I own is a sub 5,000 unit seller. 😎

@@UntamedMotors I did a nationwide search for 2021’s on cars.com and there is a magnetic grey in California......looks insane. Thats sealed the deal.

# 1 : There is NOTHING better than a Land Cuiser
# 2: If you have the money to buy it and appreciate the culture behind it, you shouldn’t complain about the gas mileage, and if you do, you don’t deserve a Heritage Land Cruiser

Thanks man. I prefer to keep my line of work off of YT. I make a modest amount of money (upper middle class)... the trick was getting through a lot of schooling debt free. I was very fortunate to have been offered full ride scholarships for the last 12 years of my education. =]

I currently have a Gen 2 raptor and I’m debating on getting rid of it for the 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition. Do you have any regrets getting rid of the raptor?
The dealer told me that the Heritage comes in Softex leather instead of the semi-aniline in the base model. Is that true? How does it compare?
Not true. They come with the same leather. 👌🏻

I enjoy your videos. You do realize they offer other multiple colors for the 21 model year heritage right? I am not sure when you made this video or if you knew that but there are added colors for the 21 model year. Lastly today on the Internet there were multiple reports that the Land Cruiser is discontinued in the USA. Moving forward only the Lexus version will be available.
Eric Hochman I hadn’t looked into the 2021 much before shooting this video. My bad. Someone else on here mentioned the other color options -that’s awesome!
Other than the price tag, my only serious grip is the tail lights.. They just scream Mid 2000's VW.... Colorwise, it would look great in Magnetic Grey. but really what vehicle doesn't... haha.
The Free Raven yep I’m with you. The taillights are my least favorite aspect too... soooo dated. I love me some MGM, almost bought a 4Runner TRD pro in this color “way back when” -ended up with the Tundra instead though. =]
The heavy steering was the very first thing I noticed. It was really noticeable.
Hah, it definitely took some getting used to. I prefer the lighter steering of the Tundra and 4Runner if I'm being honest.

Untamed Motors Along w the awd system which adds to the weight you feel, a heavy steering is intentional to assist in off-road and rough terrain driving. Helps prevent the steering wheel from snapping out of your hands as you negotiate your way through.
It’s a real world terrain vehicle. If the weight is such an issue for mall crawling then the Highlander is probably the vehicle you need. 😆
J. Taveras then why is the steering super light on the 4Runner TRD pro, Tundra TRD Pro and Tacoma TRD pro? Those are built with off-roading in mind too.
Nice vid. I'm the second owner of an 04. 90% of the 265K is mine. I'm sort of thinking about a new model. I do wish the color choices were a bit better. How about some kind of desert safari color. And, Yes, they really need apple/android car play. that's a real miss. Can't be that hard to do. Not sure what i'll do. The prices have climbed so much, it's hard to find the latest iteration (2016+) for under 55K, unless they're well over 100,000 miles.
beautiful! I would only lift it with the BP51 from OME and put some 305 rubber under it! lastly, an ARB bull bar with some extra lights, and would look killa!

Because no center cooler I prefer the regular LC; the Heritage is like selling at higher price for less feature. Basically paying more to buy that badge :)
The forged bbs wheels and darkened headlight housings are plenty reason for me to buy this over a non-heritage. What’s the price gap, 3K?

Not sure of the part number, but there should only be one option like this. They are Slee Off-road sliders. I’d recommend Bud Built sliders before these.

It better be able to out do my 4runner, its 45K more lol It has longevity over the 4runner and more room, the 4runner is way more fun ti drive lol especially in 2WD mode. The LC is a amazing machine, the 4runner is great too. I prefer the 4runner lol 😆

Yep, these are the same exact wheels as the Tundra TRD Pro -just bronze.
2020 gun metal silver.. traded in my 2016 Taco TRD .. so the dealership wanted the Tacoma bad for resale so they held the Tundra for me while I was out of town for work. My Tundra did come with the gun safe in the center console.. that I have come to love it is a sold safe .. the wife and I have a 28ft RV so the Tacoma wasn’t enough truck.. great videos keep it up 🍻
They make CarPlay plug and play modules for these.

If you are going off road you can take a Range Rover, but if want to go off road and bring the car back take a Land Cruiser.

V6 twin turbos = zero interest from me. Lease it and return it. Cuz once it’s out of warranty and those turbos go bad etc. take out a loan. No thanks. Keep it simple.

Untamed Motors Well I’ll be damned, it sure does come in more colors, you have to go into the options and build it. Glad they continued the Heritage Edition another year and looks like it’s just another model now, well at least until the new gen arrives.

How about getting the Highlander Hybrid for half the price while you save gas and have better creature comfort. Then buy a new highlander with all the money saved in like 5 years? Versus driving the same 10 years old gas guzzler in 10 year?
