amazing how it is when you are young and relatively healthy and you take everything for granted and only much later the dilemma of trade offs just strikes you.

Exactly. This is why I teach you about these things. All the diseases of estrogen efficiency are silent until deadly.

Wow! What a great and detailed class!
I can see the passion in your face and hear it in your voice when you deliver the lesson.
How on earth does a person know if they have a hereditary risk for Epithelial Ovarian Cancer? Is there a screening test?
I wish next week was already here for the non-hereditary risk!
Thank you for caring so much. I love you, Barbie. 💕💕

I’m thinking there is no test…you have to know your family history.

It's easy to determine if you have hereditary risk. You just get genetic testing for all the genetic mutations that can increase your risk for epithelial ovarian cancer. The problem is that only a small minority of women with a genetic mutation end up getting epithelial ovarian cancer. The vast majority of women who get it have risk and do not have a genetic mutation.

Can you talk about menopause and migraines?

This warrants a consultation because there are different kinds of "migraines," and different kinds of headaches. It is critical for you to tailor everything specifically to you and your headaches in order to make decisions that are right for you. I would love to help you in a consultation, which you can schedule at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I do them all online.

So frustrating! Still a bit angry my surgeon refused to remove my ovaries. However, I’m not at high risk.

I'm glad you're not at high-risk. And I'm also frustrated that you didn't get to exercise your personal preferences.
