Thank you for that. I was looking at doing uterine biopsy every three months for post menopausal bleeding because it came back negative but I was still spotting. Decided to just be done with it. I did the hysterectomy with removal of ovaries and tubes. A benign ovarian cyst was found. However, I cannot express how having that done eliminated a large stressor in my life.
Once again, my comment disappeared! I’ll try to retype what I left. 😲 It’s good to know that none of the risk assessment tools are worthy of my time or money. I’m sure I can find something better to spend it on. I love this education that keeps me from being ignorant of what is going on if and when I’m in that situation. I SO appreciate the time you put into this stellar education and the knowledge you so freely give. I am happy to say (and shout) that I am a member of Menopause University. See you next week! 💕
I think the lesson learned is managed health care where profit is king, means common sense is tossed out. If your postmenopausal and a swelling is spotted, doctors shouldn't wait. My CA125 was 185. I was sent to the gyno oncology team at the cancer hospital. No tumor on ovary, yet, but in uterus, yes....maybe that's why the CA125 was elevated
The medical industry is a "disease-care system," not a "health-care system." And it won't spend money on you until you are already broken. Sad, but true.

Knowledge is power, and also a great stress-reliever.
