After watching many videos of people taking these little bikes on and off road and seeing their toughness and versatility, i'm literally falling in love with the Grom. Great video by the way!

I agree with you completely. It makes sense that I'm really feeling the bog, because I removed my oil spinner as well, which contributes a significant amount of rotating mass. It really does pull on the top end now though. Just depends on how you want to set your grom up. I appreciate your informative response!

Oh hell yeah! Nice video once again. This is what I'll be doing to my Grom for sure. I thought it sounded great once i moded my air box but this is outrageous! I love my Grom more than any previous bike I've owned. So good around town and a shit ton of fun to work on. Every time I ride it I feel like I'm getting away with something. :) It's got over 15000 kms (9300 miles) on it so it needs some love and this is just the thing. Thanks mate!.

CT Gromer you’re fu*king awesome man! You basically tried all the things I’ve thought about doing to my GROM. I actually have a Yoshi in route to my house as we speak as well as a Short Dinger intake and I am definitely sending my ECU out to DHM now. Thanks for making your videos dood!
Hi Daniel! Thanks for meticulous approach to testing. Interesting that with adding more RPMs (10000) and power on top end the Top Speed remains the same and even less than without kit.
I just installed my intake combined with Yoshimura exhaust. I've been waiting on my cam and ecu for about a week now! Im excited for it to show up, only one more week. I just put a video up on my channel about the intake. Thanks for the awesome review
Hey thanks for commenting! Just watched the video you put up, it's great man, keep them coming! We need more good content creators! Wait until you install the CAM and reflashed ECU. the difference is crazy!
My bad guys I forgot to respond on here, but yes it is noticeablyfaster I have topped out at 77 miles an hour I am 6'2 215lbs, it pulls way harder 1st through 3rd above 7000 RPMs it just opens up
This video gets me excited, I ordered the dhm stage 3 kit for my grom, cam and high compression piston with ecu flash, now I can’t wait for that video you’re planning!
Just installed a 57mm bore kit (148cc) for $25, added a 28mm exhaust system ($25) and have a performance cam ($25) and bigger injector ($15) on order. After everything is installed and running smoothly, I'll get an ECU remap done in a parking lot at a local shopping mall by a freelance Honda technician for about $17 bucks. Yes, things are inexpensive where I live...and I own the MSX, not a "Grom". I hope I'll be done with my major MSX projects.
That's awesome. I'm planning to buy a grom this weekend and I'm looking for the best way to get 70+mph out of the bike. It's only a few miles on the highway to work but I want to be able to keep up with traffic. Thanks for the video man. You got a new sub' I'll be watching all your content from now on.
Thanks so much for subbing and commenting! good luck picking up a grom! You wont regret it. Keeping gearing stock, intake, quality exhaust and Reflash ECU (look into DH Motoring) will get you to 70mph. Adding the CAM will help even more!
Did you notice any changes to the MPG? Just wondering if going this route will make a significant decrease in MPG. As much as I want a bit more performance, I love the MPG, as I use mine as my daily commuter pretty much May-October. The MPG was a big factor for me in getting a Grom.
DH Motoring did not say if there was or wasn't, but I just rode it like normal, which is pretty much wide open everywhere. Everything has been good 3,000 miles later! Good question, thanks for commenting.
Hey, no I didn't. Seems the same in that regard, a couple others have commented that its some sort of decompression mechanism to aid in starting, however, it starts just the same as it did before with the new performance CAM. Thanks for commenting!
@@CTGromer I got everything installed. I didn't notice any loss low end but definitely a flat spot in the mid range. Hi range has great punch now. I still have plenty of power for city cruising but I think this cam is going to really help for long runs at 55-60.
This is a very good question. Did the CAM and ECU affect wheelie potential? It's hard to tell, but I'm gonna say, yes, slightly. If you're clutching up, I'd say not as much but if you're throttling and bouncing, yes I'd say you lose a little. One thing is for sure- the bike hesitates a little more down in the low RPM range, and the grom needs that "grunt" down low, and pretty much everything its got to get the front end up. ESPECIALLY on sit-downs. Stand-ups are much easier. What really affects the wheelies in a negative way in my opinion is removing the oil spinner. Removing that rotating mass in the engine is also removing the engines inertia, or its ability to keep some momentum through resistance. It revs faster, but you dont seem to get as much "pop" when you drop the clutch and yank. Great question, It's not talked about alot. Thanks for commenting!
Man, you're right, I always get the "T" confused with "timing mark" instead of top dead center, my bad for saying that. aaaand you're not the first to say that about the Ki-mera intake... thank you for commenting!
Any Fixes with the low end lag, any problems that have popped up? Also how is the tune good for different climates and elevations, I feel like the tune would need to be adjusted depending on where you live?
The only fix for the low end lag would be a CAM designed for low-end. I've sacrificed the low end for more topend. I believe since its still the ECU that is tuned, it still compensates for elevation and climate, that would be a good question for DHMotoring - he did my tune.
@@CTGromer That's great so I wonder why the adding the power commander didn't seem to change anything in terms of performance, would you even bother with it and just get the DHM reflash instead? Also you've got yourself another SUB!
Hi Daniel, thanks for the video, I have the same combo on order now. Wanted to ask, is it necessary to pull the rocker arm pins out or can the rocker arm adjustments just be backed out to get the cam out and new one back in? Keep up the good work!
Can you post a video or recommend one on how you did the valve adjustment? The only thing you didn't show! Any comments about the reliability since install and how many miles you've run it for? Good increases, but not if it's going to do a ton of damage to the motor in the end :/
for valve adjustment, go here: ua-cam.com/video/zbNngFAu3J8/v-deo.html and go to 8:26. I've has zero reliability issues and currently have 2,700 miles on it since the CAM install. Still runs great!
Two questions A how many miles on it now and how’s it running? B did you have to do anything else after the cam and ecu? Or can I just order and install the cam and ecu and leave it alone,
Now have over 5,000 miles on the clock with zero issues. I would suggest just doing the CAM and ECU install if you already have intake and exhaust. That gain alone was enough.
Just FYI you didn't mark on the cam chain where TDC was, you also didn't put the TB adjusters on your rocker arms as the stock ones are not long enough.
You stated the reason why I don't get a cam. I'm not willing to give up low rpm torque in exchange for high rpm horsepower. For performance guys who want to race around all the time it's the perfect solution. But not so practical for regular daily transportation guys who always ride between 3,500 and 6,000 rpm. For most riders it's a great product and the price is right. : )
That's true you do lose some. But when I'm riding the grom in town I find myself at pegged throttle a lot of the time, so it definitely helps get you up to speed when you need it!
@@CTGromer My riding style is completely different. I rarely peg the throttle and the engine is almost always between 3,500 and 6,000 rpm. With such a small bike and a tiny engine, weight becomes a major performance factor. I weigh 138 and my Grom is lightened down to 214 pounds. I just ordered a lightweight all aluminum rear swing arm to make it even lighter. Cams are just fine if you need to spool up the engine. That's what they're designed to do.
another great video.. I am undecided if I choose the power commander or the ECU flash. How is the bike in low and mid rpm? I usually ride with a passenger and I look for the best solution to have a good ride. speed is not my biggest concern. in which he noticed that the bike got stronger in all rpm
Thanks for watching and commenting! I'd recommend just the basic ECU reflash from DH Motoring if you need balanced and linear power. The reflash is only $105 vs the PCV which is $350. The PCV is great if you're going to do a big bore kit and other extreme engine mods. For stock bore and just adding a free flowing exhaust and air intake, the Re-flash is the cheapest and best option!
@@CTGromer i already brought the 143cc big bore kit and im going to buy the two parts you jus recommended do you think it will work well together? Or jus dont use the big bore kit?
@@MikeJones-qo7vt I think the three of those things would be insane, talk to DH motoring though, and make sure when he does the reflash he knows you have a BBK too! Your grom is gonna be a monster!
Thanks for commenting! YES! I should've clarified this in the video better, ECU-Reflash is mandatory with the new CAM, my bars are KLX110 ProTaper SE Bars, with a red EBay "Honda" pad cover. I appreciate all the kind words, I'll keep producing content!
A few months ago I bought a 2015 Grom with Chimera intake, DHM flashed ECU, and I’m using a basic Amazon aftermarket exhaust. I can only get about 55 mph max. Where do you think I should focus my troubleshooting?
Hmm... how many miles, and how much do you weigh if you don't mind me asking? ALSO - the Yoshimuras make ALOT more power than the cheap aftermarket systems; a lot of R&D went into producing them, which is why they cost so much.
@@DHMotoring I'm running stock airbox with a koso filter + modify koso 34mm to stock throttle body. I thought I would eliminate low end but it doesn't feel balance.
I'm very interested in the cam package, but I do also like the 186cc kit.....hmmm I can't decide dammit I have too many projects.....thanks for your review.
You don't need it just for the CAM and ECU package, I like having it though--extra safe. Probably a little overkill for just an exhaust, intake, CAM and ECU though. Thanks for commenting!
Hunter Soyffer absolutely. Anything other than stock- which is less than an inch header pipe, a catalytic converter, and a dense muffler. If it’s a full aftermarket system it’s way better and would work with this system for sure! Thanks for commenting!
When he fits the new cam the cam tap it's super lose. Meaning there is a bigger gap between the tap it and cam lub. Now I would say the valves are not opening and closing for so long now. Meaning your not getting so much petrol or exhaust gas in or out. I just if it would have be a whole lot better if he had just fitted the new reflashed ecu. Please do leave any comments on this. Just wondering what you guys think 🤔
That's an interesting way to look at it, thought I'm not sure if its right or not. I think its more about optimized timing when the engine is spinning really fast. I can tell you theres a guy in our group with the exact same mod set as me except I have the CAM and he doesn't and my grom is significantly faster. Definitely a good point and food for thought though. Thanks for commenting!
Superb video, subscribed! Hows the bike and new cam doing? Im wanting to pull the trigger already but wondering about reliability. 10k redline for reals? Question: have you tried the kitaco clutch cover which removes the oil spinner?
Hey, thanks for watching and commenting! The bike runs perfect with the CAM and ECU reflash still almost 2,500 miles later. The reliability is there man, just keep fresh oil in it and check your valves here and there, yes, DHMotoring sets the ECU to rev to 10,500 rpm, when you bang limiter it sounds amazing! Yes, I do have the Kitaco Clutch cover installed, I love it. Makes the engine rev to limiter faster for sure due to less rotating mass. It also makes you feel better to know that your oil is going through an actual oil filter too.
You guys are missing the point of the PCV. It affords you the ability to make changes to the bike, and only pay for the ecu once. If you are content with just the stuff you've done, then by all means, reflash your ecu. But it's like a drug, once you start, you're hooked. The power commander (at least on my last two liter bikes) also had expandability for a/f and other stuff.
You're right, and I try to make that point clear in some of my other videos. If you are going to CONTINUE to mod your bike, BBK, etc. then the PCV has the expand-ability and the customization potential to make it the better choice. For most people on here that are just doing bolt ons and staying stock bore, the ECU flash is the cheapest and safest option. Thanks for the comment!
Benjamin Ruhlin hey thanks for watching and commenting! No problems except even more acceleration than stock gearing! I’ve been debating dropping 1 tooth in the front!
Hey I just bought an og streched grom and I was wondering if I could install this DHM cam and ecu with an AR racing dual air mini exhaust with a DB Titanium Intake while keeping it under 14,5 horsepower?
@@CTGromer It's because in sweden where i live the motorcycles are categorized in three categories, light, medium and heavy mc. And each of thies classes have a licens each for who can drive them, light when you are 16 and medium when you are 18. The dentition of a light mc is has to be under 125cc, not above. And it has to be max output of 14,5 horsepower, otherwise it count as a medium. And I am not autherized to ride medium yett.
Phillepille As far as I know, you might need to get those mods homologated ? At least that how it works in Switzerland. Probably gonna get a MSX 125 (or Grom) as my 1st bike, gonna mod the hell out of it hehe
@@nvl2691 I think it's like so here in sweden too. Otherwise if i get pulled over by the police they maybe acknowledge something. But overall i am still gonna mod it.
Hi Brenda, that's an outstanding exhaust on the grom. If you have stock intake, I wouldn't worry about it. However, if you're going to modify intake or purchase a Chimera or equivalent, I'd recommend ECU reflash. I only noticed a difference in power once I did the intake AND exhaust. With just exhaust the bike felt a little more peppy, but the big difference was with both done. Hope this helps, thanks for commenting :)
thanks for the clarification and the comment! It runs exactly the same without it, from a performance stand point, that decompressor mechanism is just in the way!
Hii there. Good video am getting my first grom. Im from Barbados I think I saw one Honda grom here which was very nice to see. I fall in love with the Honda grom first time I saw the bike. Am looking to put a 143 big bot kit. Question for you is it better to get the (ecu) reflash to get the performance you got with ur Honda grom.?
the short answer is yes, it does, for MUCH cheaper! It will help your top speed, and more importantly it will richen your mixture if you have an intake and exhaust, to where it needs to be. Without it, your air/fuel mixture is too lean which can make your engine run too hot and risk overheating or burning up the top end!
Comparing the power commander to a package that includes a cam is kind of unfair. A power commander is only as good as the tune that gets put on it. It's really designed to allow for unlimited tuning (like on a dyno) and is very often underutilized. Not saying the flash and cam isn't sweet it's just comparing apples to oranges.
While I agree with you in terms of performance they're not comparable and that the PCV is typically under utilized and people are just using the maps provided on the PCV websites and not using a wideband sensor or dyno, I disagree on their total comparability. I'm comparing what you get for dollar spent and the PCV just by itself is $350, then you have to buy the wideband sensor, or at least dyno it (more money). With the DHM CAM and Reflash package ($150) you get sooo much more performance for your money spent. That's my point. Thanks for commenting brother, cheers!
@@CTGromer If you wanted to make a comparison for the PCV and mods from DHM, you should have just swapped out the reflashed ecu without the cam, or paired the Tbolt cam with the PCV and test against the DHM / cam combo.
@@robertmrozek3067 The problem is I'd have to pay more to get the PCV tuned for the TB CAM, and I didn't want to do that. Again, my comparison is on price of the two packages vs power gained.
Yo CT: Just watched your video again for the 5th time. LOL Does your Grom have any bottom end for wheelys and some Off Road Action with the cam and reflash? One more question. My clutch seems to be really weak. Did you do any clutch work to yours? Waiting for my hip to heal up and I'm heading to the Burg and ride your posse!!! LOL
Thanks for keeping my views numbers up this month! These are good questions, my Grom does have just enough bottom end for wheelies and light offroading, but since removing the oil spinner and adding the performance CAM, I've really lost a significant amount of low-end torque, but what I've lost down low I've gained a lot of at 7,000RPM and up! To answer your question about clutch- YES. My clutch does slip quite a bit, especially when attempting to pop the front tire off the ground. I've actually decided i'm going to order 30% stiffer clutch springs, and a Chimera Clutch Plate. Let's ride!
Thanks for video I just finished intake and want to get a yoshi pipe next! I prolly won’t change the cam. Do I still need reflash? Your videos are having me lean more towards the re-flash.
Definitely a re-flash is needed, the cheapest one by far is DHmotoring, hit him up and he'll send you one. This insures you're not running to lean with the addition of intake and exhaust. So glad you're finding value, thanks for watching!
CT Gromer your videos are great! Keep up the good work! You should keep making how to videos the quality of your content is so good! How to change oil lol I’m almost at 600 miles
@@Tac.Outdoors I've thought about doing that! I may just have to do a little content creation "how to" on common grom maintenance! I appreciate the advice, and the kind words!
very informative, interesting and entertaining video! beginner question though - do you think each of your mods (exhaust, intake, ECU/CAM) and respective name brands would work on pretty much any 125cc bike/scooter? thx...
I'm not sure, I can only speak to the groms, but you can check each of the manufactures and see what specific models they make these parts for. If you're asking will all these exact grom aftermarket parts bolt right up to any 125cc bike? No, they won't. They're not universal parts.
Hey thanks for commenting! as far as I know, K&N only makes a replacement filter for the stock airbox on the grom, not an intake system like the Chimera. I think for the money Chimera is a great system, but DHM has a really good one too for even cheaper. ANYTHING is better than the stock airbox, its super restrictive.
@@CTGromer Yeah, I'm curious about the intake differences. I asked DHM what intake I should get, and they said Chimera is good--even though they sell their own!
At the time of making the video I was running stock gearing, but have since dropped a tooth in the front which helped with the low-end bog. But yes, it's not that it's slower coming out of first, but its a little hesitant at low RPM. But that all changes when you pass 7,000rpm! Good luck- curious to know how you like it!
CT Gromer bruh love it changed the bike completely.. I have the same upgrades on my Harley but the Grom has so much back pressure it’s crazy lol it’s loader coming down in RPMs than it is going up
it might help some, but its not worth the money. Its cheaper to also add the full intake and just reflash the ECU. But it also depends, are you going to continue to mod all the way up to BBK? If so, the PCV is better because you can constantly retune it yourself with wideband.
I agree, but its SOOO much more money than just reflashing the ECU for the mods you have. That being said, if you have the money, nothing beats the wide ban sensor. My channel tends to speak more to budget, than top of the line though. Thanks for commenting!
Can I still add a cam with the power commander? And what do you think a 14tooth front swap with cam and power commander will do? Also have yoshi and chimera
Hey thanks for commenting! Because of the difference in timing with the new CAM, I would recommend a reflash custom to the CAM, in take and exhaust. If you had a wide-band autotuner for the PCV it would be ok though. If you don't, I'd highly recommend getting the ECU reflash from David.
Since I'm looking way down the road and not only watching what's happening right in front of me, I'm always planning for that scenario. Always good to think like that though!
So no other mods needed!? I have after market big gun exaust airbox mod (just cut the metal mesh out and took out the rubber tube outside the airbox) and reflashed my ecu and hit 69mph took me awhile fully tucked but i did it, so i feel like this will top it off right here!
Hi from Belgium ! Love your vids. I just purchased a Grom 2017 (MSX 125 in Europe). I wonder one thing. Here, we got some differences about gas. We have the choice between 95 and 98 octane (and sometimes 10% ethanol in it). Do you think the new ecu will accept that ?
its all about compression ratio in the engine. Grom compression is pretty low in stock form, so it can safely run USA 87 octane fuel with up to 10% ethanol. 95 octane is more than enough. Just remember with ethanol in the fuel don't let fuel sit in the bike for too long. It goes bad quicky.
Hey meaby you should've tried with the ECU only first, and then the cam only to see what made the most difference, and if combining both did anything else compared to using just one.
This is true, but I can tell you that enriching the fuel/air on the grom doesn't make much of a performance difference so much as keeps the bike running at safe temps. The CAM is what makes the big difference and because DHM sells the two in a pack, thats what I chose to review.
FYI: In a recent speedrun after filming this video, I achieved 72MPH speedo indicated - stock gearing with CAM and ECU Reflash Combo!

Sweet, you wont be sorry, the Stage 2 kit is definitely the best bang for your buck!
I hope I'll be done with my major MSX projects.

good luck getting 70 unless youre going downhill
Thanks so much for subbing and commenting! good luck picking up a grom! You wont regret it. Keeping gearing stock, intake, quality exhaust and Reflash ECU (look into DH Motoring) will get you to 70mph. Adding the CAM will help even more!
Nice video! Wanted to point out that DHM is just a reseller though - the ECU is flashed by Cameron Jones Racing and the cam is from TBoltUSA.
Well I'm glad he found a niche and is making money! I appreciate the info though, didn't know that.
Thanks for the tips, I'll definitely be going the re-flash route.
Glad you found value, thank you for watching! Relfash is cheapest route to fix your AFR!
Did you notice any changes to the MPG? Just wondering if going this route will make a significant decrease in MPG. As much as I want a bit more performance, I love the MPG, as I use mine as my daily commuter pretty much May-October. The MPG was a big factor for me in getting a Grom.
I'm pinned a lot of the time, and I seem to get just 100MPG on the button. So, not a significant amount of decrease in mileage.

I don't know about this bike but in every other motor I've worked on "T" stands for "Top" as in "Top Dead Center".
Thats what it means here too, I just said "timing" which is incorrect, thanks for commenting, good catch.
Is it still easy to pop and ride wheelies with these mods? I had dhm flash my ecm and got some good results.
Hey thanks for commenting! Yes, wheelies are still very attainable.
You can do sit downs in third lmao
Was there a cam break in/rev burn in for the new cam? Oil change after said number of miles?
DH Motoring did not say if there was or wasn't, but I just rode it like normal, which is pretty much wide open everywhere. Everything has been good 3,000 miles later! Good question, thanks for commenting.
Pretty sure that weight is a balancer. Did you notice the engine becoming more vibey afterwards?
Hey, no I didn't. Seems the same in that regard, a couple others have commented that its some sort of decompression mechanism to aid in starting, however, it starts just the same as it did before with the new performance CAM. Thanks for commenting!

@@CTGromer the sound of the revs going from like 2k to the limiter is music to my ears
I have the cam and reflash coming. I'm worried because I lost some low end with the Koso clutch cover and oil spinner delete.
You'll lose just a tad more with cam and reflash, but you'll more than make up for it after 7,000rpm, you'll see.
@@CTGromer I got everything installed. I didn't notice any loss low end but definitely a flat spot in the mid range. Hi range has great punch now. I still have plenty of power for city cruising but I think this cam is going to really help for long runs at 55-60.
Did the cam and ecu limit wheelie potential? You were talking about how the grom revved higher but how was the bottom end affected?
@@CTGromer Thanks man, appreciate the reply. I've been doing a lot of research into different bikes and this helps a lot!

Does it affect ability to wheelie with the lower end cut down
No, not significantly. Especially if you're giving it a good rev and popping the clutch, thanks for commenting!

Thanks for commenting, stock bore, just the Kitaco clutch cover and oil cooler. I may do a BBK in the future though, who knows!

ichibangrom thank you for the kind words brother! Really means a lot, I’m truly glad that you’re finding value in the videos, I will keep them coming!
Great video, and thank you - but the "T" means Top Dead Center, not "time". And, not to be irritating, the "Ch" is pronounced like a "K" in Chimera
CT Gromer thanks!!
True, I didn't do either of those, but everything is working fine 3,000 miles later!
T for time? Thought it was Top dead centre 😂
It is! I get a little silly sometimes when I'm recording! Good catch!
what is the F for? mine has a T and an F mark
aaron estrada it’s a firing mark. It’s when the spark plug actually fires
CT Gromer I had already considered going to the ECU reflash but I have some fear as I am from Portugal the result was not so good

Hmm... how many miles, and how much do you weigh if you don't mind me asking? ALSO - the Yoshimuras make ALOT more power than the cheap aftermarket systems; a lot of R&D went into producing them, which is why they cost so much.
Now correct me if I’m wrong but could you alleviate or soften the loss in the low end by using a longer ram intake?
carl brown I have no idea! Good question, thanks for commenting!
Yes you can. Running a Dinger mid or long intake will help balance it a bit.

Do you need an oil cooler with this cam? Saw you had one.
You don't need it just for the CAM and ECU package, I like having it though--extra safe. Probably a little overkill for just an exhaust, intake, CAM and ECU though. Thanks for commenting!
Would the Toce T-Slash exhaust from the TST kit be considered an exhaust that would work with this setup?
Do you have any idea about the cam with a -1 front sprocket? Do you know if there would be issues?
Benjamin Ruhlin hey thanks for watching and commenting! No problems except even more acceleration than stock gearing! I’ve been debating dropping 1 tooth in the front!
Hey I just bought an og streched grom and I was wondering if I could install this DHM cam and ecu with an AR racing dual air mini exhaust with a DB Titanium Intake while keeping it under 14,5 horsepower?
You definitely could do all of that, if it would be under 14 HP I'm sure, why do you have to stay under that number?
@@CTGromer It's because in sweden where i live the motorcycles are categorized in three categories, light, medium and heavy mc. And each of thies classes have a licens each for who can drive them, light when you are 16 and medium when you are 18. The dentition of a light mc is has to be under 125cc, not above. @@PhillePille Gotcha. You'd be fine with those mods. You'd be under 14hp.

I'm looking at putting the vance and hines exhaust on do you think i need to get new ecu like what you got and will it increase speed?
Hi Brenda, that's an outstanding exhaust on the grom. If you have stock intake, I wouldn't worry about it. However, if you're going to modify intake or purchase a Chimera or equivalent, I'd recommend ECU reflash. I only noticed a difference in power once I did the intake AND exhaust. With just exhaust the bike felt a little more peppy, but the big difference was with both done. Hope this helps, thanks for commenting :)

I know I’m a little late but, does the ecu flash you bought do the same thing as a pcv? Will it help with my top speed? Thanks mate
the short answer is yes, it does, for MUCH cheaper! It will help your top speed, and more importantly it will richen your mixture if you have an intake and exhaust, to where it needs to be. Without it, your air/fuel mixture is too lean which can make your engine run too hot and risk overheating or burning up the top end!
CT Gromer thanks so much man
CT Gromer darn they are out of stock :(
@@snaxgalore5764 Email him to make sure. they're worth it! Let me know if you get one!

CT Gromer i recommend it you have great content !
very informative, interesting and entertaining video! beginner question though - do you think each of your mods (exhaust, intake, ECU/CAM) and respective name brands would work on pretty much any 125cc bike/scooter? thx...
I'm not sure, I can only speak to the groms, but you can check each of the manufactures and see what specific models they make these parts for. If you're asking will all these exact grom aftermarket parts bolt right up to any 125cc bike? No, they won't. They're not universal parts.
Okay so here’s my question. Would there be a speed difference if you ran the K&N intake instead of the Chimera intake?
Hey thanks for commenting! as far as I know, K&N only makes a replacement filter for the stock airbox on the grom, not an intake system like the Chimera. I think for the money Chimera is a great system, but DHM has a really good one too for even cheaper. ANYTHING is better than the stock airbox, its super restrictive.
@@CTGromer Yeah, I'm curious about the intake differences. I asked DHM what intake I should get, and they said Chimera is good--even though they sell their own!

I’m about to instal my new one tomorrow, you say it’s slower coming out of first, do you run 14t front sprocket and 37t back?
At the time of making the video I was running stock gearing, but have since dropped a tooth in the front which helped with the low-end bog. But yes, it's not that it's slower coming out of first, but its a little hesitant at low RPM. But that all changes when you pass 7,000rpm! Good luck- curious to know how you like it!
CT Gromer bruh love it changed the bike completely.. I have the same upgrades on my Harley but the Grom has so much back pressure it’s crazy lol it’s loader coming down in RPMs than it is going up
I have a 2019 grom with Vance and Hines exhaust that’s it will a power commander tune with rev extender make it faster.???
it might help some, but its not worth the money. Its cheaper to also add the full intake and just reflash the ECU. But it also depends, are you going to continue to mod all the way up to BBK? If so, the PCV is better because you can constantly retune it yourself with wideband.
I orders the stage 3 kit. I was wondering if I could just run the cam and ecu flash and wait to put high compression piston?
hello CT Gromer, would you suggest this mod if i just have the chimera intake on my SF?
chester chew do you have I exhaust too? If so- absolutely I suggest this. At a minimum the ECU reflash.

Perfect thank u! Me and my brother in law will b up riding at shaver the 4th might come down and hit Fresno. Maybe we’ll see y’all out there.
theahlvin hit me up on Instagram if you guys are coming down, we’ll ride!
CT Gromer what’s ur Instagram? Headin down to Fresno tonight. Goin riding tomorrow. U guna b out riding
What injector the stock one 🤔 or u have to upgrade to bigger one.
No, you do not need to upgrade, stock injector is fine!
Just curious what you do if a car pulls out in front of you while you're doing 70mph???
So if I do a intake and exhaust I would need a ecu upgrade or could I just reset the ecu with the paper clip
You would need to reflash ECU, yes.
Sorry to bug just wondering if the decomp was supposed to go on the new cam too?
Not sure, but I don't think so. Mine starts and runs fine without it.
@@CTGromer ok awesome! Just wanted to make sure haha
@@rowanzettel1038 Always better to be safe than sorry ;) thanks for commenting!
@@CTGromer no problem 👍😄
Looking into getting the yoshimura cam with bazaz ecu from man in the box will I see much improvement??
Though I've never heard of the man in the box, as long as its a good fuel map and it accounts for the CAM, I think you'll definitely see improvement!
Great video! What valve clearance did you go with?
Set them both to 0.004 Inches, thanks for commenting!
