Hello, not so sure if you've made the adjustments, but, the reason why your hindle didn't add some power to your grom compare to barbs "cheapo" exhaust was that Hindle stuck with regulations.. check your Hindle, it could still have a baffle inside of it (somewhere between the exhaust and header pipe) unlike barbs whereas was upfront removable and somewhat became an "open exhaust" type...
I've the same Amazon special and I love it without the baffle 😆 have to ride with my noise cancelling earbuds tho. Did without em one time and swear I came back with tinnitus

why? everyone knows what a stock grom sounds like, there are thousands of videos with how they sound, i want to know what the new pipe sounds like not the stock one ive listened to for the past 2 months, before and after are completely pointless, end result is the only thing that matters.
Those stickers always create problems. And those plastic covers always scratch. You can just replace the whole cover very inexpensively. Or you can just wrap it with any type of vinyl wrap or like you mentioned the carbon fiber wrap material is nice
it will only make more power with the baffal in wich makes more torqe aswell but only like .80 of a hp and like .60 flb of torqe with a un tuned engine due to back pressure. so its better to leave the baffel in cuz other wise then yes you make hardly any power unlees you want it just as loud as possible
Bigger pipe doesn’t make it better. You probably lost back pressure or something. Name brand isn’t always better. You probably have to get a power tune for it now to get the power out of it. But some people don’t want yo go that deep into performance and just want the sound.
couple things after playing catch up on some videos i was thinking about. you could do a dumpster for scrap metal, dont bring work home. donate. my buddy might need an oil pan. maybe pawnshop off some of the getto tool boxes. reduce, reuse, recycle.
I would motor swap it depending on how much you want to spend you can go zs190 or 212 if you want to spend more go Daytona 190 or 212cc the big bore kit and oil cooler and cover going to cost the most in the end. the 212 4valve Daytona race engine would be the closest to that 100 mph it what your looking for they also have kits to keep the fuel injection and I would go with the a racer stand alone ecu it will be a beast👍👌✌️💯

I've been tossing around Vance and Hines Hooligan, Yoshi RS-9T, this Hindle, and the Akrapovic. I only plan on doing minimum mods to this such as Chimera intake, exhaust, sprocket swaps. I'm 6'2, 232lbs so I'm not expecting much, just would like to see 60-65mph with my ass in the seat.

Intake is after exhaust then a flash but I applaud you choice on the hindle it keeps versatility for things like a big boar kit and for that grom fathers is your go to the intake hit up dinger
I have the Amazon exhaust with a intake, tune, five row oil cooler, high flow oil pump, oil spinner delete clutch cover kit and a TB cam. After the cam, the Amazon exhaust sounds like crap in higher RPMs. I just ordered a Hindle because I want to switch to a stand alone fuel management system with the wide band sensor. I don’t trust my DHM tune. The plug looks like the bike has been running lean.

Genuine exhaust makes double the power because they test back pressure at the factory. You can get detonation and engine damage with eBay exhaust because of improper combustion.
I SERIOUSLY doubt that those Chinese ‘carbon fiber’ systems are REAL cf. They MIGHT have a single layer of weave over a cheap composite, or metal can. Easiest would be if someone drilled-out the rivets, unpack it, and post a pic of the inner can.

Yes, heating decals, pretty much eliminate need for any (blade). WD40 is safest & most effective for residual adhesive .
Hindle has always made nice pipes and it makes sense yours wasn't happier with the larger head pipe on stock CC engine...
use a hair dryer on max heat to remove warning stickers and such... and if possible, have a plastic dish scrapper to help the process.

there should be an exhaust gasket, original probably stuck in the head. happened when i swapped exhaust on wave 125 (practically same motor).

On these low power applications the best way to determine hp gain is to do a top speed pull.

When you put a new exhaust/airfilter on your bike that gives you more flow. Dont forget to tune it!! Otherwise you lose HP instead getting HP
Needs an intake and an ECU tune to take advantage of the gains from the exhaust.
