Great show just subbed! I’m from the area too, Hammond now in St John. My wife and I visit the local bourbon Mecca, Bee Liquors usually a few times a month. Harry is a great guy. Visited Hard Truth last year and it was a lot of fun, we did the single barrel experience, it was amazing. Cheers

I’m really enjoying Whiskeyland season 1 so far, I especially love this episode because I’m from Indiana and Hard Truth is putting out some great Indiana whiskey! I’m definitely gonna hit that notification bell so I don’t miss any of your episodes!
Do you plan on doing anything with any distilleries in Michigan? I recently visited Journeyman in Three Oaks to do a barrel pick with Indiana Bourbon Club and we had a great time. They’re making some great stuff up there!
Matt is one of our favorites too. Hard truth is so legit. I didn’t really have any expectations but they blew my mind. I think in the future we will end up at journeyman but we did go to Mammoth Distillery up by torch lake. They are doing a really cool rye whiskey project. We also go to one of there tap rooms in Grand Rapids during another episode. And we will obviously have to go back to Indiana. I wanna visit French lick and starlight.

I'll have to give their juice a try now. Living in Georgetown just an hour away I see their stuff in stores all the time but never thought to give it a try not knowing much about it other than it's from Nashville. They're up on my list now. Would love to try the BIB

It’s definitely worth a try. Everything I had was really good. We got to try one of their whiskies that was finished in cognac and it was incredible. Bryan Smith really knows what he’s doing and is also just a great guy. Plus it’s an amazing property you could spend all day at.

Great episode. Funny enough, I also lived in Miller Beach for a short time. Unfortunately, I do not remember as my parents moved to Griffith when I was 1. I have also had the pleasure of enjoying some great pours with Brian and his team at Hard Truth. I have picked multiple single barrels with them through the St Louis Bourbon Society. Cheers
