Hi Levi. Letting you know that I just received a free upgrade to GP8 because I had purchased 7.6 just before the new version came out. Nice gesture by Guitar Pro
5:34 Levi, how do you add rests between (or even after or before0 existing notes? when I try to do it I end up overwriting the notes already placed ... it's driving me nuts! GP8 has no info on how to actually use/add nested tuplets anywhere in their literature .. it's bloody annoying! EDIT Figured it out = "Insert"
Love your videos, very straightforward and to the point, recently upgraded as well thanks to you. Just one thing to note, your mic volume could definitely be louder. Keep up the fantastic work!
Is there a way to subdivide in tuplets yet? Lots of percussion parts will have eighth note triplets with two 16th note triplets in the middle of them. Maybe there was always a way, but I can't figure it out.
thank you very much, i've been struggling to get right some things in 6/8, because it's already a triplet, so i had trouble with a rhythm that sounds very much like a triplet inside another triplet.
6/8 is a triplet, but not in the traditional sense, that’s the base pulse. It’s not 3 in the space of 2, it’s 3 in the space of 3. You can put a triplet on each 8th note in 6/8 no problem
hey man, i love the explanation, but do you mind going a little more into details on how to do it ? cause i keep rewatching this over an dover and i can not get the same result.
I guess the preliminary step would be to be able to identify, when listening to something to transcribe, how to identify when these tuplets (nested or not) show up.
Guitar pro question - Just upgraded, affiliate used. TY. ( I use Gpro for arranging solo guitar, and want to put out the transcriptions professionally.) When more than 1 note is played at a time they can only be 1 type of note eg, quaternote. Imagine my bar has 1 bass note over 4 beats and multiple melody notes over the top. Cant seem to figure it out. PLS HELP
I bought GP8 and was immediately disappointed when I could not import Microsoft Windows MEdia files (which is default format I had when converting my CD's over to disk). Beware users of WMV files must convert them before they can be imported into GP8!!!, and it's a real pain if they're not already converted (i.e. you can't!) you have to start over and burn them from the disk before bringing them into GP8. That was not clear in the above video. I had GP 7.6 and the ONLY reason I upgraded was for the audio import - and immediately found a problem with it.
you can absolutely bend and tap notes at the same time. I have to write them out often. I think what you mean is that it isn't done in the way you want it to be done.
you could in this case as there isn't a drum groove (by design), but 12/8 and 4/4 aren't interchangeable. You can't just use 12/8 because ONE bar needs a nested tuplet. What if it's just a shuffle?

awesome, was having no luck in notating these in GP7 and the upgrade and this vid made it possible, thanks!
Brilliant news Levi, and thanks for the tutorial. I upgraded from your link a while back.
Brilliant, Levi Clay! Learned this nested tuplet \!
Thanks Levi. This was a great example of nested tuplets keeping it simple and to the point.
It's really interesting watching your transcription process.

awesome thanks for making this video!
Thank you so much 😊😊😊 You are GENIUS 😊😊😊😊
Sunday night and I'm watching a video about "Nested Tuplets" .... Ha ha! cheers, Levi!
Starting a band called The Nested Tuplets…

Nice, just upgraded, about time they added this.
You should make a Rhythm course man

Is that before or after it crashes..?

You need to use multiple voices. Ctrl 1 and ctrl 2. Watch any videos of me transcribing that sort of stuff
Inglês
how to transpose the figures written over the bars
or how to transpose chords over the bar

It’s incredibly easy to convert a wmv though 🤔
They still need the ability to bend and tap notes at the same time.

It would be cool if you could show what you are clicking on a little slower.
hi
You could have written this in 12/8 time, no nested tuplet needed.
