    Melatonin is not only a hormone which it is used for sleep. It is actually a more powerful antioxidant than glutathione. There’s a lot of research towards its longevity properties and about how melatonin decreases considerably with age.

    Very interesting video. I had a vitamin business for years and was a professional athlete. I like some of the things you shared. I am 70 and just started a UA-cam channel a few months ago. I only question a few things you have said. As being 70 I have upped my protein intake grass fed grass finished meat .i have also studied blue zones but they are all a bit different if you study them from different regions. Love your passion!

    I would go for tempeh or tofu in the morning with some veggies as bacon is actually a processed meat and listed as a type 1 carcinogen, same as tobacco and asbestos. 🤮

    Love your videos, fantastic info!! Wondering your thoughts on Dr Stacy Sims research on women, in particular with fasting and exercise. She says Intermittent fasting disrupts kisspeptin expression. When our brain perceives we have a deficiency in nutrients, especially carbohydrate, we have a marked reduction in kisspeptin expression, causing appetite dysregulation, and can induce changes in the circadian rhythm of our hormones… Honestly I find this to be true for me- if I don’t eat breakfast I don’t sleep well,
    In fact I will suffer with insomnia. I do fast 14hrs but any longer, I’m in trouble later that night~

    Skipping breakfast can in result in an increased risk of gallstones though. Morning meds are not the only exception. Whoever suffers from anxiety/sleep disorder should not skip breakfast because if you don't have any sort of food that is protein + fat (like even a spoon full of peanut butter) within 1.0-1.5 hrs after getting up, your background cortisol levels will be above normal for the next 24 hrs if I recall correctly.

    The processed food thing and even blood glucose level is very understandable. However, even if we try and ingest mostly one ingredient products, it's tricky these days. Like where did that apple or broccoli come from? Have you seen the report on the problem of a decreased nutritional density in common foods like vegetables? I don't remember exactly but I think they compared the carotene levels in carrots back in 1969 and 2022-23, and it has dropped considerably. The poor quality soil, fertilizers, pesticides etc adds to the problem. Have you noticed how common say iron deficiency is nowadays? This is an important global issue that is largerly under noticed when taking about a healthy diet and real food. So it's bad enough folks regularly ingest processed crap, even with real food, it's not that simple of a task anymore unless you live on a farm. As for protein, we need all kinds of amino acids that come from various places, you are right Processed food is absolute poison and I think is a huge part of cancer rates creeping up globally. What is your opinion on lab grown meat/sea food?

    Estrogen can tend to keep some women up at night I take my estrogen in the morning and use my progesterone at night

    I don't agree 100 percent with your thoughts on protein, people's needs are different. I do think most people are over eating, too many calories no matter what firm will turn into fat.
