They forgot the part were you commander is standing over you for updates every 10mins. And when your task out to put up tents for your whole unit or where you get stuck o medevac duty and your working weekends and holidays
I did 8 years from 87-95. Back then, it was 93P Flight Operations Coordinator. No computers programs except making a spreadsheet to enter flight hours from the DA2408-12. Made overlays for the paper maps that we put up in the TOC. I got a chance to work at Desiderio AAF at Camp Humphreys, Korea. Also everything that jime bob said.
I was a 15P years ago before switching to another branch as a JTAC. It’s a crappy MOS that doesn’t do a lot of aviation real-time duties like airspace management, actually inputting flight plans to AIsR systems, doing TOCs when you should be doing airfield inspections etc
@@theotherside1159 it’s a 7 week course. After at least a couple days of each lesson you’ll be given exams. Some on paper and some on computer. I actually like the 13F MOS - Forward Observer/Fister. Though also 19D & K are interesting as well as 31E & 35P (now that I think about it a bit - maybe 35P can be my second choice, 13F my first - I deffo want an Option 40 w/ any of these).
@@luispere0728Hello, did you go active with 7041? If so, can give a summary of what you actually do and if you like it. My son is hoping to get this 1 but can find any Marine videos giving more details on it. Thanks
@@randomnatural9644the easiest way I can describe it is being a 911 center but for the military. If any infantry marine needs an air strike or a medevac they call us up (air support operations operator is our billet) and we send aircraft to those locations. If I remember correctly, the mos 7041 deals with actually creating documents that deal with flight schedules and flight plans for our aircrafts during operations.

Do you recommend the boot camp graduation or the AIT graduation. Our son is going to be 15P

Truth!
No it’s not. Helping pilots get ready fly for the day and doing their record keeping is fun. Easily a $100k+ job if you work at a big airport
Lmao I show up at 1:53 I stand up lmao. They recorded this stuff when I was in AIT 😂😂
