One thing I'd like to know about IBIS: the "continuous" versus "shooting only"--I know what that means, but I don't see how in "shooting only" it can activate, stabilize, during the press of the shutter release. Is it as stable as having it always on (and draining the battery faster)?
I’ve got the X 100V and I would love to have this camera with IBIS. What would really be great is if I could still make prints to my SP2 and SP 3 printers from the jpegs. Do you know if it still has printer connectivity? If not, I’m gonna stick with my 100V.
With current worldwide pre-orders around 1 million and production capabilities at 15,000 units per month, is it hopeless to be on a pre-order wait list for this camera?
Perhaps, but lots of nice updates inside i.e. 40mp sensor, processor, AF, IBIS etc. It was always going to cost more than the V even without the TikTok kids.
So basically it's heavier, more expensive, made in china, better only in video for which you are not really even buying this camera. Glad I still have my x100V price is gone rise even more as it's the last x100 made in Japan😂
It is not "better only in video." Many will be using this mainly for photography, myself included. I skipped the V and had an F, and am getting the VI. Looking forward to the higher resolution and IBIS. As an Olympus user, I know how useful IBIS is for photography. It's ignorant to think it's just a video feature.
Price has already dropped on the x100v's. There will be some who might prefer the x100v, but for everyone else the VI will most likely be the desired choice.
The price increase is very reasonable considering now has IBIS, 40 Mpx sensor, faster processor, video capability and cost inflation over the 4yrs since the X100V arrived. I imagine there could be many buyers taking advantage of the X100v’s coming on to the used market but the price will eventually drop. Made in Japan sure has a quality reputation but made in China reputation is coming up very fast. Just look at the engineering quality of Apple iPhones for example. There are many, many other examples of exquisite engineering in China. Let’s hope the Fuji software keeps up with the hardware.
I like that this was shot with the X-T3.

why does the IBIS work differently if using the EVF or LCD, vs using the optical viewfinder?

Object Tracking finally on a Fuji X camera! - this had better cascade down the line to some of the newer, older cameras.
They announced it’s coming in a firmware update to the X-H2S, X-H2, X-T5, and X-S20 this spring (no date given).
How many custom settings can you create in photo and video mode?
now can we get an update on the Fujifilm App

Please do full tutorial I’m not reading the manual
Never had a Fuji, owned Canon, Sony, Panasonic...but Full Frame and its lens are too much for day to day. Pre ordered this one!
Compact power!
I would be much more interested in a x70 successor
Sensor size?
APS-C, like all X cameras. The GFX line are digital medium format.
Mega!
Thanks TikTok for the hype & price increase!

@@tappersreviews4677maybe they thought that spec upgrades should cost zero money
