The primaris marines were missing 2 things, a giant punchy dreadnought, and jetpack melee infantry. Looks like you've got the first one covered nicely!
Contemptor class dreds in Rogue Trader (original 40K) came standard with two power fists str10, twin linked bolters on the back of each, and......., JUMP PACKS. Unfortunately, you just don't see those old models or artwork anymore. (They had horrible feet) But when you were facing 5 dreds jumping down the board at you, you weren't looking at their feet. 😢
It looks really good!! I've just finished building and magnetising my Leviathan dreadnought and I am currently trying to improve my intercessor squads. Keep up the good work!
I’m scratch building a necron triarch stalker, I have made it bit bigger than needed but I have the main body down and I just need to add plastic and putty to smoothen it out so I can add the legs then the main actual pilot and guns
Back in the day, my entire Dark Angels army was kitbashed. I had the whole group done up as a hybrid of scout marines and assault marines. The idea being it was a fast reposition sniper team that would support the bike squads which while I didn't run personally, the DA does. My headcanon was the bike calvery would storm a position, flushing the enamy out of cover or forcing them to reposition, then my 30 marines would quickly move to an advantageous position and open fire. It worked well in games, but sadly they didn't let me play them in a tourney.
This dreadnought definitely seems more akin to something like a scaled up redemptor dread. It is definitely more boxy than a traditional dreadnought. I love the conversions you have made, and I especially love the painting scheme.
I have a Brutalis and yeh those arm connector things were a complete pain, I get the idea you can basically pose the arms and never really need to glue it but the fit needs to be near perfect and often the plastic mould is anything but. They took a lot of work cutting, filing to just get them to fit in there and be able to turn ok.
This is such an amazing conversion that I couldn't help but to nit pick. 2 things stood out to me. 1. The heavy flamers should have been heavy bolters or multi meltas. 2. The top mounted stubber is supposed to be a twin linked one. I know these are minor details in the grand scheme of the project, it's just that if you were going so far already why not do it entirely. As it stands, I think it's a better model, but not a better "Brutalis Dreadnought". Just for clarification, I have no qualms with proxying models/wargear & would be happy to play with/against any kitbash.
Cheers for this! Did spot the meltas after the fact so will raid the bits box to try and fix! On the stubber... I'll probably leave it 😆 not the biggest fan of the design on the stubber anyway. Thanks for your kind words and also for your feedback. Both are very much appreciated!
Gonna get an that jump pack dread from 30k and make it a 40k death company dread. The redemption is sick with both heavy onslaught Gatling canon and onslaught Gatling cannon also. The open sarcophagus is beautiful and the model is so modular with its positioning if you use space marines you won’t regret getting one yourself.
Last kitbash I did was a Primaris Apothecary. I'll get him painted up as soon as I finish building a Razorback, since it's nice enough weather (for a day) to prime. And two Furioso Dreads...
I did, but one of the important things for me with this series is to avoid 3d printing. Not because I'm against it, but because it makes converting/kitbashing too easy if anything, as you can just print exactly what you want!
Love to convert models to avoid having clone armies. Last year I did a common Primaris Apothecary into a Sanguinary Priest conversion, a minor primaris Chaplain Blood-Angelfication, and - most proud of - my own Successor Chapter Master of the Angels Encarmine based on the Dominion Zephon model. And almost forgot my Leeroy Jenkins Death Company Captains conversion 😂
Looks dope I've been trying to make a dark angels conversion for my redemptor but GW printed the gun arm wrong and ive been waiting 2 weeks for a replacement 🙄
The thing that annyos me with primaris vehicles is the amount of stubbers. Its categoricly not a marine weapon. Why cant they use a bolter variant instead?
Yoo, I would probably prefer to field this version a game of 40k. p.s: I found your channel through the desolation squad video and you make some amazing stuff!
Ehhh better well I don't like it (i never like when the front part where the marine is stick out) but i think people can do better dreadnoughts than GW because is like they are just dry out of any idea now,i think it would look better if it was more close the front part but with a head sticking out like the leviathan dreadnought
Not my cup of tea. I tend to find it the exact opposite when someone claims that they can do better than gw when converting things. This is one of those instances for sure....
You need to stop embarrassing GW's design team, Oli. The Brutalis isn't a bad design by any stretch of the imagination, but aside from the claws, nothing about it screams murder-machine in quite the same way as the original Death Company dread. I think it's the stumpy legs, having had a close look at it. Like it's going to waddle across the battlefield as opposed to run across it like a bat out of hell.
Haha cheers Matt, I'm just surprised it's taken this long for them to slap some claws on a redemptor! I'll probably end up getting a Brutalis when it's out and can do a side by side 😀

We will see if the rumours are true on that second one! Can't wait to get my hands on some proper jump pack units!

Being new to the hobby and watching this channel has been good with helping me get ideas for my own kitbashing hopefully in the future😊
Welcome to the hobby!
What kitbashes have you guys been up to? Also let me know what you think of my Blood Angels Brutalis Dreadnought!
Man its MUCH better design. And i love Death Company dread. Nice work!
It looks really good!! I've just finished building and magnetising my Leviathan dreadnought and I am currently trying to improve my intercessor squads. Keep up the good work!
Just bashed some primaris space Marines with some Vanguard Veterans. They've all got shields, jump packs, swords, etc.

You've... converted me to kitbashing

Great video! I just finished converting a Death Guard Helbrute using Foetid Bloat-drone bits
I love seeing this 'normal hobbyist' type stuff. A+
I love seeing these good ol' positive comments. A+ for you too
Your kitbashing videos are GREAT
Great build! The exposed sarcophagus look is so rad
Yeah this solves a ton of issues I have with the Primaris Dreadnoughts. GW sculptors should take note.
This is a fantastic kitbash, I'm going to try this with my dreads
Really enjoyed this mate 👍 straightforward non pretentious chopping and kit bashing - right up my street! Thanks for the video 🙏
Love your channel too bud! Cheers for dropping by

Damn, that turned out great!
3 minutes in and I already like where this kitbash is going

Finished my leviathan dreadnought
great conversion!. Only thing different I would have tried to do was either lower the top of the torso, or raise the shoulders.

Whenever I look at the pile I remember how many projects I have left to do 😆
Love how I was thinking of this concept the other day and this video pops up on my feed UA-cam can read ur minds lol
So take those blood Angel dread claws and maybe make a custom primarch they look about the right size . Or do a custom Grey Knight dread knight !
A great conversion. I am after the librarian dread's spear arm if anyone happens to have one in their bits box for sale.
Depending on where you are based I may have one for you! Free for pickup!

Did you consider 3d printing armor pieces? There are loads of them available for the redemptor dreadnought scale.
I did, but one of the important things for me with this series is to avoid 3d printing. Not because I'm against it, but because it makes converting/kitbashing too easy if anything, as you can just print exactly what you want!
Amazing conversion, absolutely well done!
Thank you very much!

Blood angels characters are so prime for conversions! These sound really cool
Sweet conversion, my man! It looks awesome!!!
~ Wolfbrother Methos
I want 4 of these Dreadnoughts. Desolation Squads... not so much.
Nice build man
Just finished a belligerent engine redemptor for my angry marines modded the plasma cannon into a folding chair launcher
Looks dope
I've been trying to make a dark angels conversion for my redemptor but GW printed the gun arm wrong and ive been waiting 2 weeks for a replacement 🙄
That sucks, hoping they get it sorted soon!
@@hobbywitholi me too lmao, but theyre supposedly sending me an entire replacement combat patrol box which is nice LOL
Nice work, man
Great kitbash!
Imagine the smartest dude just making sure third party items can be put together

Thanks so much! Glad to have you here!
You should try making the Erelim: Astorath's Sanguinary/Chaplain guard
Will soon be converting a thunderstrike commando to caint celestine and the 3 boys to supressors
Nice job! way better than GW indeed!
Matter of preference tho, I honestly like the GW version more in this case.
Trying to make a carcharodon brutalis dreadnought
Want to make an awesome Primaris Dreadnought conversion, check out Archie's Forge...
My venerable dreadnought broke so I cut up his legs and am making him taller
In comparison to this, the claws on the official Brutalis Dreadnought look... pathetic😂
Nice job m8👌
It should be.... Repulsorified
As in... FLOATING? Or just with so many guns it's silly?
But badlol you mangled his chest
Why on earth does Primaris Dread use a stunner? No SM unit has ever used them! GW, why?
GW already made a better Brutalis its called the Leviathan, it just plain looks better than any other 40k Dreadnought IMO.
I do like the Leviathan, though for me I think the contemptor (specifiacally the Blood Angels one) is even better!
Ehhh better well I don't like it (i never like when the front part where the marine is stick out) but i think people can do better dreadnoughts than GW because is like they are just dry out of any idea now,i think it would look better if it was more close the front part but with a head sticking out like the leviathan dreadnought
my question is: wow could you play this in game ? 🤣🤣🤣
How? I'm hopeful that any opponent would be happy to play against a fun conversion 😀
@@hobbywitholi no i just ask how do you put melee attack because the hand are from an other game
Not my cup of tea. I tend to find it the exact opposite when someone claims that they can do better than gw when converting things. This is one of those instances for sure....
Not a fan of the chassis so shouldn't be hard
leviathan arms are so much better than the brutalis, great idea for a build!

@@hobbywitholi "Look, we're not releasing the Brutalis until you man up and release that bloody desolation squad!" - GW management. Probably.
7:11 a custom chaos spawn based off of the game "the forest" and John carpenters "the thing"
Horrifying! I love it
