- GW announced a new Primaris Lt.! Normally I wouldn't be that excited but this guy is super cool... While he's probably coming in a 10th edition launch box, I'm feeling impatient... let's kitbash our own!

Solid! I’m actually working on some space wolf successors called the swarm eaters who are on an eternal bug hunt. The resupply when they can but have started using bug bits to repair armor and as weapons
Last kitbash was Nurgle-ifying a Heldrake.
God help you sir/maam. The helturkey is pain in the ass enough to paint normally and Nurgle is just “let’s make it worse”
I have a Zaku/Zeon space marine army and nearly every model in it is customised.
But my personal favourite is my Ramba Ral Bugu Lieutenant, it painted up really nicely.
Last night I kit-bashed a Chapter Champion for my Blood Angels. Used a Dark Angels robed body, a Grey Knight sword, random arms from the bits box, and a sheathed knife from a primaris kit. Hope to prime and paint him up over the next few weeks, along with more infantry. 2k painted before 10th!
I converted Angron a bit to match some older art for a friend’s WE army, but I also got started early on 10th by converting a Bladeguard into a Tyrannic War Veteran Captain with a bionic leg. I’ve been super excited for new Nids and Marines, and plan on doing a Tyrannic Veterans UM army and a genetic throwback (2E style) Nids army
I just finished kitbashing a lieutenant for my black dragons army. He has a giant bone-drill on his left arm. Had to work with milliput for it to work.
Great work, I think you’ve inspired me to make my own
I convert/kitbash all of my Necron Overlords, Lords and Crypteks. My most recent one is Solunkem The Insufferable(Cryptek).
Wondering what makes him so insufferable 😆
@@hobbywitholi haha. He's loosely based on Elon Musk - his name is an anagram. When he awoke from the great sleep he was no longer able to communicate normally and now just uses memes & pictograms etc. His Necron Peers find this very annoying haha
just a little something about the claw thing. bones, horns, claws, and teeth don't always need to have the same traditional bone color. google cow horns or antlers for some great inspiration on how those bits can be painted :)
That is a pretty good kitbash! I might do the same thing with a reiver model a friend gave me!
I got all the bits to make my own on eBay for $30! That’s cheaper than GW will ever sell one for!
Ironically I made my own lieutenant based off the trailer before they even previewed the model, using a spare model of the month reiver from donkeys ago. Spare reiver knives, the same bolter you used, a tank from a flamer and the muzzle from a sternguard combi flamer part. Random spare bits from nids and a reiver mask head finished it off. Not based it yet due to not having a 40mm base to hand
Update to this. He's finished up now and on his base undercoated. Took some inspiration from you and redid the tyranid armour plating. Nothing on his base though as I couldn't find anything appropriate
Love this! Let me know how he turns out when hes all done
I’m working on a Missionary kitbash for my sisters of battle army with a cawdor body and a bunch of bits from various sisters of battle kits.
I'm hoping these include all of the flames?
I had this BA firstborn Sternguard with heavy bloter, he witnessed his whole squad get evaporated by a brutalis multi meltas, and survived with 1 wound for the whole game, so im converting a luitenant version of him
been thinking of doing this with a few models as i got some extra Intercessors :D
Element games, huh? Good to see your getting the attention you deserve, Oli. :) Troll fingers are the eternal bane of my modelling existence: "Just got to hold this tiny bit here till it dries.... and now there's a finger print where a grenade should be. God damn it."
Every...single...time 😆
So my space marine chapter takes a lot of influence from Halo, and I stylized my Lone Operative Lieutenant as Noble 6, making him with a stalker bolt rifle/combiPlasma and a regular intecessor helmet. I’m skipping on the tyranid details.
Noble 6 was a headhunter (before the events of Halo Reach) and would be sent out alone to kill targets. He and the Master Chief are the only two Spartans on record to get rated “Hyper lethal” against Covenant forces.
I’m probably going to base some it with bits from my tau (which I stylized sorta like the covenant, purple armor instead of Farsight red)
My most recent was taking a company commander, tossing the arms into my bits bag, taking tank commander arms, cutting the right hand off and switching it for a bolt pistol.
This gave the figure a better look as the shoulder pads with no chest armor looked odd
Converted a Terminator Apothecary yesterday! Really simple conversion but he was the second last model I needed
DUDE. THIS IS SO GOOD. I’m gonna retrofit the Deathwatch army I’m building as Tyrannical War vets now!
thanks so much! really glad you enjoyed and good luck with the army conversion!
"A different direction" It's still a Primaris Lt. for a Primaris force that deems it okay to pack in upgraded Dante and Shrikes but without scale melee jumppack models that aesthetically, RAW, and lore wise simply fit. A suicidal lone smash captain is always viable and if it works makes you feel awesome, but having a matching retinue is not only sound point investment for strategy it simply dominates the rule of cool. I have shelved my SM army since late 2021 mostly for these reasons.
I made a Deathwatch model in Black templar markings. A power axe chained to his arm, and the other arm barren and wielding a plasma pistol, his whole body in a moving position. His name is Arn the Loyal. Not to be confused with Khârn the Betrayer of the world eaters.
If the left arm is replaced with a mechanical prosthesis, the shoulder armor is replaced with the silver shoulder armor and left arm of Deathwatch. Add some hair to the head. It's like the Winter Soldier.
40k Avengers, now that would be a cool idea!
@@hobbywitholi The Natural Iron Hands
A Space Wolves Bladeguard Veteran that I built today. Not a complicated conversion, but looks more like a Space Wolf than the official ones do given that they have tabards.
I’m possibly going to add a Wolf pelt to give him something that’s like a tabard, but I’m not sure yet.
I don't play 40k (Warhammer Fantasy player here), but I could watch you for hours... Very engaging, good looking guy,, well put together video and nice kitbash. Looking forward to seeing more
I have just started collecting 40K again since playing 3rd ed. I recently kitbashed Abaddon and a Master of Executions!
Welcome back! Though as a heretic maybe i shouldn't be welcoming you back too heartily! 😉
Good work on the conversion
Thanks so much!
Very cool converstion. I have always wanted to some things like this, just never had chance yet. Maybe in the near future I'll give one a try. Anyway, keep up the great work, love your channel.
An indomitus assault intercessor sergeant. Replaced one of his legs with an adeptus titanicus questoris knights leg. Think it looks like a pretty sweet augmetic.
Ooh very cool! Iron hands?
@@hobbywitholi Nah, Blood Angel who overloaded their plasma pistol one too many times and lost their right arm and leg :)
I'll still end up getting the lieutenant but this inspired me with my new kill-team. I'll add some chitin to the Phobos Strike Team!
I love it :0 the only thing i dislike in general with how peopel paint tyranids is the way you did the carapace i think highlighting it like that makes it look fake
I’ve converted a death company assault intercessors with DC marines inferno pistols as well as some original jump packs it so grim dark. Also my successor chapter is in the outskirts of imperial hihilus they don’t even have many Primaris equipment to repair so they just use the old easier equipment jump packs.
I made Pellas Mir San out of a torn apart storm cast eternal character a leftover aggressor body blade guard and reiver bits and a load of greenstuff
His combi flamet is a wrist mounted bolter and flamer on different arms
He's not the most beautiful but I think he's neato
Converted abbadon for my son's of horus 30k force, working on an esoterist now :)
Please keep doing kitbashing vids!!! You rock
I think the Phobos and the other skull helmet Primaris would work to make cool Chaos or renegade space marines like Night Lords.
Thank you for the video. I would have pose the model different. It looks a little bit unbalanced a d the pose doesn’t correlate very well with the head direction and the position of the arms, I like the paint job!
I converted a Lukas the trickster from the Blood Claws box
He came out great!
where is that animation coming from
Loved this, keep up the good work🤟
Thank you 🙌
You know who else likes coverting war hammer modles and handles it with extreme compassion MY MOM!!!!!!!
It's just refreshing hearing someone pronounce lieutenant properly.
🇬🇧 someone has to make sure the Americans know how incorrectly they're pronouncing it!
There are no straps holding the zenos armor on
Special field glue or tyranid ichor. Needs must when behind enemy lines
I'm kitbashing kayvaan shrike to have his helmet
Didn't realise that model only came with the bare head! Probably for the best he gets armoured up!
I've done that it was surprisingly easy, Shrike is awesome.
GW bringing out marines models faster than tyranids can replicate...
Looks insane
wouldn't say better but nice none the less :)
Do you have to warm up the gorilla super glue before using mine is very had to use with brush
Never had to warm it up, but it definitely needs a few shakes before use!
Very nice. Still not brave enough to risk wasting models to try and kitbash
No need to rush it, I was very much the same, once the collection has built up a bit it's easier to find sacrificial models 😀
Looking Good Oli! Keep up the good work :)
And how you compare your primaris and their primaris. Both look the same.
Left tenant moment
IF YOU CUT THE MAGAZINE WHERE DOES THE BOLTER GET IT'S AMMO????
the emperor provides
one small details is wrong tho, this Ultramarine is red...
excorcist tank
Not a fan of the Tyranid shoulder panel.. feels like heresy
I dare say that the kitbashed model looks even better than the official one. You knocked this outta the park!
Thanks so much, definitely my best kitbash so far!
Really good, but not better 😔
Primaris Leftenant. Ugh.
Yeah it's not better than gws
Nah. GW did better
