This emotional video tells the true story behind a damaged 19th-century German violin that was originally owned by our guests grandfather, before being passed down to her aunt who was tragically sent to Auschwitz in 1939. The mission is to meticulously restore this antique violin, which carries not just wear and tear, but unimaginable history. Join us as we carefully fix the broken pieces, glue, chisel, polish and tune this violin back to its former glory, while honoring the incredible journey this instrument has been on.

This is the 2nd time I've watched this in the past week. I thought I left a comment the 1st time around but I didn't. I'm 80 yrs old and have lived with that war all my life. The death tolls in those camps were inhumane to say the least. its unfathomable the treatments and death that went on there. so the history of that violin is heartfelt to say the least. I"m surprised it survived the came as well as it's owner. The sad part is the generation that 's out there today has very little knowledge of those atrocities. God bless and keep all 6 million souls that were lost. and bless their survivors. ECF

As a player of violins all my life ,I'm 66 now And own 2 violins 1 200 and one 400+ years old this hits a deep cord with me .
An item without such stories will probably never make it into the show. 🙂 I dont need such stories.
