Paul O'Neil and his daughter Victoria from Cambridgeshire are the first to arrive at the barn. They have brought a silver tenor saxophone, which belonged to Paul's mother, Veronica O'Neil. She was a professional sax player who travelled the world performing in the 1930s and 1940s and was highly regarded in the music industry. Paul and his family treasure not only the saxophone but also its weathered leather case. Paul's parents did much of their courting sitting on the case as they prepared to wave goodbye at train stations. Victoria is also a sax player and dreams of playing her grandmother's pride and joy. They hope that musical instrument expert Pete Woods can bring the tarnished and dented treasure back to life. Pete calls on leather expert Suzie Fletcher to restore the case, and together they work miracles.

Beautiful job! You could use that nice man's face as the dictionary illustration for "gobsmacked."
Well done….🎉🎉🎉🎉
Absolutely awesome 👏 job ❤
Wow, wow, WOW!!!
What a great story and an amazing job ❤
Fantastic TV. A great series. 😊
Looks like a Conn 10M "Naked Lady" model. A fantastic instrument ❤
"Lady Face". "Naked Lady" is different.
I love the Sax!
That is almost beyond belief…wow!
you put it on the stand the wrong way lol
Makes you wonder how much of an expert he is.
Im grinning ear to ear. Beautiful restoration!
Reduced its value by 40% with the replating.
was it replated? I know he says it came back from the platers, but maybe it was just polished back to its glory, with some touchups? I have the exact same sax that went through a polishing process and came out looking as beautiful as this one.
What a fantastic instrument and restoration! ❤
It my fav sax a conn 10m ,me i would have left it in patinad state just cleaned it and padded it worth a few bob
Replating...you killed it
totally agree. They missed the point. The patina is gone. They should have only restore the musical side of it. What a pitty.
Totaly agree as a sax player
Such a great group of restorers
I was also born in 1951, and my father played a Conn like that one, and he also played the 6M alto and he gave it to me, and it's still the best sounding ax I've ever played
I sold my Conn 10M and regret it to this day!
