I stumbled across your channel, and the knowledge you give about hair, as well as the video you did about how to trim your hair at home. I got a different bonnet, kept my ends trimmed and did a moisture regiment, as well as bought the Jamaican castor oil from your site. I also went natural, no relaxers. I went to trim my ends last night, and I was trying to locate the areas that my hair was breaking, and I was shocked to see the hair grew back in, significantly. I was at the store a few weeks ago & got carded when buying wine. I laughed bc I don't know the last time I was asked to see my ID. He said I looked around 20, 😂. I'm 40 and can usually pass for early 30's, but 20!? C'mon now, that poor boy probably needed to get his eyes checked lol. Most people are shocked when I say I have teenagers bc they say I don't look old enough. People ask how I stay looking so young, & I say it's about staying young at heart, having fun, & laughing. I am relaxed and realized there are a lot of products that put protein in them that were drying my hair out. So now that I have made sure to pick products that are strictly moisturizing…my hair is thriving and the the shedding has significantly diminished.
@@daughterofyah6209 Right now I’m using the Moisture Miracle by African Pride Nourish & Restore Conditioner and I leave it on no more than 15/20 minutes. I also use the same brands 5 essential oil. I workout and sweat a lot so I switch between a nioxin( as a treatment for my scalp) shampoo or the African Pride Moisture Shampoo. The baggy method works really well to maintain my ends but I am not as consistent with doing it. I won’t say that I am completely done with the protein…I just use it sparingly. That’s all my hair can tolerate without becoming brittle and snapping off.

My hair was relaxed for years until I had the big chop, so I’m glad to see you showcase some TLC for relaxed hair. I’m 70 - 80% grey and you ain’t never lied about the struggle to color grey hair. It will totally reject a demi or semi-permanent color if it is not in the mood lol. Like forget what ya heard.😜

I have been natural for years and have been using Textures & Tones' 1N colour because my greys looks like Alina's. I love this product because I colour my hair myself, it doesn't leave dye on your skin, has great coverage and is ammonia free.

But one day I know they’ll appear full force and I will have no choice but to dye my hair haha

I sometimes miss my layered bob when I was relaxed. I wouldn’t go back even though sometimes being natural is a lot of work my hair is longer than it’s ever been.
Never relaxed but I straightened and blowed out my hair a lot. But I’ve been natural for abt 7 years now 😁
