Acrylic Paint: titanium white, mars black, chrome yellow, ultra marine blue, fluorescent orange
Other: white chalk, palette, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes

STEPS:
1. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint background with orange, blue and white
2. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint light source with white, yellow, orange, lavender (made in step 1) and blue
3. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint first layer to clouds with lavender, blue and white
4. Chalk - Draw outline for gate
5. #3 round brush - Paint base coat for gate with lavender and black
6. #3 round brush - Paint highlights to gate with dark lavender (made in step 5) and white
7. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Finish clouds and light source with white, dark lavender, lavender, blue, orange and yellow
8. #3 round brush - Sign with white and dark lavender

I was using a foiled pie pan for mixing colors, but it is very hard on my eyes because I need a lot of light, so I think I am going to try a hard plastic pallet. This painting is so meaning full, so many people have passed away in the last two years. Thanks for sharing your talent and ideas, I am having so much fun. It helps get my mind busy.

Thank you Michelle this is beautiful I just recently started painting for therapy I’m gonna try this one and add a silhouette of my baby boy entering the gates, he passed on to heaven this past November at only 6. Him being in Heaven with our Lord is the only peace I have. 🙏🏼

hi love this one three crosses on a hill for Easter would be cool . I have painted several of your paintings now and i can only do stick people really got a F in penmanship when i was in school. Loved art all my adult life it seems never dreamed i could ever do any my self. I am a show and tell person someone shows me a crochet pattern in person i can copy . Now i know i am a show and tell art person . I take care of my elderly mother 88. and painting with you helps me so much with the stress and gives me joy. Please don't stop !

Hi! Do you spray your canvas’s after it dries. So beautiful!
Hi Holly, I usually do not seal my paintings, because when acrylic paint fully cures, it is very durable. However, I do sometimes seal/varnish my paintings for esthetic purposes to bring all of the sheens together. I prefer to use a spray (Grumbacher or Golden) or liquid gloss (Liquitex) varnish. I hope this helps.
I love your paintings, l will try to do one or two. Do you start the painting on white canvas or do you put a white coat first to blend better the colours on the canvas?
I purchase all my canvases already primed. Much easier considering how much I paint but you can use a layer of acrylic gesso for added adhesion if you want. Have fun!
