I checked everything on my dryer and all is in good order. However, once the timer passes the "damp dry" (ie. 25 minutes left) there's no more call for gas. I understand if there's no call for gas once it reaches "Cool Down" but is it normal on Damp Dry? I don't have a damp sensor, it's just a mark on the timer.
I found that you don't have to get behind the dryer or pull it away from the wall. First I tried to take off the entire top but that didn't get me anywhere.
Next I found there are clips under the back panel where the timer is housed. Same as there are clips to hold the top down. Slip a putty knife between the top of the
dryer and the bottom of the back panel. There are two clips. One on either side front. Then pull up on the back panel. It comes right off and its enough to
spin the housing around and work on it from the front. FIRST UNPLUG THE DRYER....

Do you know whats wrong with simpson 4kg dryer if the dryer is only spinning on one side drum goes one minute for counter clockwise and stops for one minute and running again for in same direction for one minute
Looks easy but My dryer doesn't have 2 screws to remove it. It's held on by 2 metal tabs 😑 I'm have a difficult time getting the timer loose from the bottom tab

dryer not heating up after I followed this to a tee? had no problems with heat (dial and post just snapped off), but not won't get hot! Any help would be much appreciated

No one takes into consideration that there is a steel vent pipe going out from the dryer and through the wall to the outside.
If you pull the dryer out to work on the back it is almost impossible to re-connect the vent pipe.
Does it come with the knob / dial?
You might need to order the whole thing
