Yeah that is what happens when you are content and honest and just money. Easier said than done and he does it.. Plus he is trying to open a restaurant and I support what he does.
They're just overfilled - easy to fix. 160 for 23-25mins. I make these and pipe some jam/buttercream/ganache etc into the centre. Then frost with whatever you like. Perfect every time, good luck on the second try 😊
I used to make these for parties and Girl Scout events. I filled cupcake liners with batter, then stick the cone, upside down, on top of them. The paper held the cone pretty well, and the cupcake rises enough to grip the cone. Peel off the paper when ready to frost, and round them off with frosting. The cone doesn't get as soggy, and it looks more like a cone. Great video!
Love it when a content creator will admit a failure was a failure…save the rest of us the trouble. It’s so rare to see but coming from an academic background-it’s important to remember that even a failed experiment still “advances the field”…failure can help us know what not to do, so we can spend our time on things that might work. Thank you for your honesty and the amazing content you always put out. I hope you have a great day, bud ❤
So often you only see people's successful experiments. I absolutely love that you've shared a fail with us. Just because it didn't turn out in the end doesn't mean it wasn't fun along the way and it's okay if things aren't perfect in the end. :)
Hey man. You need to try to make cake pops worth the cones. That would totally work. That way you don’t have to bake the cone and you can decorate the top how you want. It’s look like an ice cream cone!!
Maybe a piping bag would be better so you can get the batter in the handle and then when it expands it comes up instead of over. Lmk if that works out plz!
Maybe you should try making cake pop dough! And then fill the cones with that like a no bake version? They’d even be good warmed up a little bit. The dough is so easy to form and could be really cute and delicious 😋
I feel like using Wafer cones is probably just gonna soak up a lot of moisture from the batter. Maybe try those sugar waffle cones those might stay crunchy after baking.
I made ice cream cone cupcakes yesterday for Church. I used a unicorn cake mix and added unicorn baking chips. I filled the cones two thirds full with cake batter and they came out great. The kids love them.
My used to make this for my birthdays for school, but with strawberry cake mix because that was my favorite. I always remember it being super awesome, but I also was a kid who didn't know better
idea would cooking the cake first till near done then take them out put them in the cone and finish baking. you could also try making a waffle cone also if your baking them already
You mentioned the cones being dry, might be odd, but have you considered jelly/jam? Layered in with the cake I mean. Or filled less with a scoop of ice cream on top? Not sure if it'd work the best, but since you're experimenting anyways it could be neat to try.
When I was in elementary school one boys mom used to make these She filled the bottom of the cone with pudding She baked the cupcakes separate and just nestled them on the pudding, then frosted and sprinkles Thanks for the memory
3am stoner recipe gone bad… however; you were stoned, so in the moment, it was the greatest dessert ever. In fact, you were pondering ways to get it to the manufacturer. Tell me I’m lying 🤥? Lol😂❤
Major props for sharing a loss when too many people pretend to be perfect online
Absolutely my thoughts as well. Kev keeps things transparent and honest at all times.
Exactly. And most of those posers have overproduced, "fancy" videos that they probably edit fifty times to get just right. 😆
Kev is legit
Exactly! Even his loss is a win for us. This guys doesn't miss!
Yeah that is what happens when you are content and honest and just money. Easier said than done and he does it.. Plus he is trying to open a restaurant and I support what he does.
Hearing Kev say "Man I did not enjoy." has the same energy as hearing your elementary school teacher swear.
Or seeing your dad cry
Or shitting on a funny grapefruit in Mr. Bologna's basement.

Can I say that this lovely man right here is on a list of content creators that add serotonin to my day. Thank you 🙏🏽. Good day🥸
This why I watch ya. Such a genuine dude
Hahaha love the honesty Kevmo 😂
Love the energy you always bring
looking forward to part 2, the second iteration.

Great idea 💡 👍 I've tried to make these b4 and I didn't like them that much 😕

I fucking love this guy. Seems like he'd be awesome to go to a concert with

That dead stare while you ate it and not enjoying it 😅😅👏👏 Bravo for being such a trooper for us still!
this is why i love your content, you put so much care into everything and no matter what it's all still good food!
Hi Kevmo! Sending love from Missouri! I’m 19 and in college and your videos give me so many good ideas for meals, keep it up!
very very cool to see you make something that didn't quite go right. Feels down to earth
that's what life's about man trial and error, good vid brother❤️🕊️
My teacher in elementary school use to make the class these once a month and I love them! Thanks for the great memory!
Trick to doing this is to tap the batter all the way down and knock out the excess air bubbles.
Keep rockin Kev!
This needs to be a series! Perfect this recipe!!
Totally a bro when he makes shorts with his fails! Peace man ✌️
Awesome experiment! Can't wait to see what else you think of!
You are simply the best
You know he doesn’t like it when he doesn’t DEEP SIGH and intimately looks into the camera in approval!
Cooking is science, and most experiments fail. That said, every failed experiment is one less on the way to success. Love the vibe, as always. 😁
Love the creativity. And I love how u used chocolate as a band aid lol.

It's not always a win but that was a hell of a good I still appreciate you sharing
Maybe a piping bag would be better so you can get the batter in the handle and then when it expands it comes up instead of over. Lmk if that works out plz!
You got my sub. Great idea on paper but not so much in the real world….. I still want to try this myself and see if I can make it come out better!
That was a cool idea, thanks for sharing!!❤
I would suggest doing like cake pop scoops since cake pop filling is just baked cake and frosting mixed
his face 😆 o the disappointment 🤣 it through me off cuz he always enjoys 💀😆👏
Good food man. I feel like if you dont say what a treat id be disappointed. Love the channel keep it up
I love it, you're so real
Kev with the ups and downs of creating your food ideas
You give off the energy of a retired grandfather who took up cooking as a hobby but found out he loves cooking
Maybe you should try making cake pop dough! And then fill the cones with that like a no bake version? They’d even be good warmed up a little bit. The dough is so easy to form and could be really cute and delicious 😋
place a vanilla wafer in the bottom before adding cake mix, not too much cake mix tho. they won’t
be so soggy!
I remember those from birthday parties when I was a kid in the 90's. I always thought they were dried-out crap. Cute, but crap. lol
Thanks for the honesty you should totally try cake mix pancakes they are amazing
Still was a cool experiment, thnx for sharing
Nice stash brother
I feel like using Wafer cones is probably just gonna soak up a lot of moisture from the batter. Maybe try those sugar waffle cones those might stay crunchy after baking.
that's what i love about cooking tho, sometimes you win, and sometimes you loose, but most of the time you still have a edible meal.
Yo kevmo next time try putting the batter into a piping bag. Awesome video
A piping bag would bake terribly. You’re better off with the ice cream cones.
@@mastercabbage 😂😂😂😂
I made ice cream cone cupcakes yesterday for Church. I used a unicorn cake mix and added unicorn baking chips. I filled the cones two thirds full with cake batter and they came out great. The kids love them.
this mans creativity is second to none
you're such a cool guy kev.
Thanks for sharing - trial and error!
Keep at it.

My grandma used to make these when I was a kid. There used to be instructions on the cone box how to do it.
It's still on the box.
what a roller coaster of emotions
Appreciate the honest review
even though it kinda failed, but cool inventions uncle Kev!
Even the Masters have an off.
Live and Learn trial n era the work of an Artist
try it with fondant and a waffle cone and maybe a cream cheese frosting in a piping bag. I love the concept. lets find a way to make it work buddy
Um... Yes! They were just over-filled, no worries!
You mentioned the cones being dry, might be odd, but have you considered jelly/jam? Layered in with the cake I mean. Or filled less with a scoop of ice cream on top?
Not sure if it'd work the best, but since you're experimenting anyways it could be neat to try.
I wonder how kevmo would do in a zombie apocalypse 🤔
There is a video on this already by another cook ( Dylan I think) who bakes recipes from the 70s. Those turn out amazing when done
experiments lead to triumph. id like to see this come to fruition!
Wow Trevor has a amazing new hobby I love it (all jokes lol)
They were just filled too much, which caused them to spill over and thus collapse. Try filling them 3/4 of the way.
Stoner creations, the reason I subbed.
I think which ingredient would make these perfect is fairly obvious, icecream. Great idea tho
Thank you for this! Also, did NOT get the eyeroll of approval 😅
That was a good idea. Always gotta have fun in the kitchen
man not a treat 😭😭😭 respect for sharing tho love ya Kev!
First video I’ve seen that didn’t end with “what a treat”
When I was in elementary school one boys mom used to make these
She filled the bottom of the cone with pudding
She baked the cupcakes separate and just nestled them on the pudding, then frosted and sprinkles
Thanks for the memory
The kids will love them!
The cones are too fragile, maybe try waffle cones next time around. As always you are awesome man.
Inverted Muffin Pan is my stage name when I’m dancing for dollars. And of course, I do this so I can afford to send the kids I don’t have to college.
I brought these to school for a valentines day party in the early 2000s!
😂”. and as I got in there, man I did not enjoy.” I never thought I’d hear the exact opposite of his famous slogan.
we all mess up stoner snacks sometimes. but its always fun 😀😎
When it’s 2 am and you’re totally baked. Everything seems like a good idea then!
Looks great but did you know you're supposed to whip the icing before putting it on
You've got to be a midnite toker to come up with this idea 🤣, it looks good to me!!!
3am stoner recipe gone bad… however; you were stoned, so in the moment, it was the greatest dessert ever. In fact, you were pondering ways to get it to the manufacturer. Tell me I’m lying 🤥? Lol😂❤
I have a feeling that if you had a filling of some kind it would have been good. On a side note you ever try a cornbread ice cream sandwich?
Chocolate frosting makes everything better.
Do rainbow chip cake mix it would go perfect in a cone
Hell yeah man. Keep it real
Kevmo how high were you when making this combination..?
When your high af and the crazy stuff you come up with actually turns out bad 😂
They still look good. Yum.
Try again! Next time fill half to 2/3 full. They are delicious!!
You mightve been able to blend all that up and compressed it into cake pops. Idk 🤔
My grandma used to make these for us! Don't worry taste doesn't care about looks!
I love that you show us this pleasant disaster. It's so healthy.
Not a treat but still cool!
I loved this cause it was so relatable. All the A5 flakey salt wagyu mofkas suck
Man you could dial in the amount where it wouldn’t bubble over
Lol use a piping bag and get it down in the bottom and only fill 3/4 of the way 😉
