Today we are looking at the Silicone Case from Apple in Midnight for the new iPhone 13. For many this series of cases have become their go-to iPhone case. These cases have some neat features but are not cheap. The question is, are the silicone cases from Apple for the iPhone 13 worth it? In terms of the unboxing, included is the case itself and installation guide. Inside the case there is a microfibre interior. Will help prevent scratches on your phone. Applying the case to the iPhone activates the MagSafe animation, a nice touch! Got the Midnight colour color to match my Midnight iPhone 13. Normally I use the leather case from Apple, be sure to checkout my review if you haven’t yet. Also let me know if you would like to see a comparison between the leather case and silicone case. First impressions, feel good in the hand. Grippy yet soft at the same time. Lets look closer at the design and features. I really like the colour. Understated while still standing out from the usual plain black colour. The midnight colour is so versatile, will pair well with all iPhone 13 colours, best with midnight, starlight and product red. Have had Apple’s silicone cases in the past and this version feels more smooth and slightly less grippy. Will still smoothly slide in/out of pocket and won’t collect as much lint/dust. Not a thin case, but adds only minimal thickness to the phone. Finger prints, doesn’t show many and can just be rubbed away or can even use a damp cloth to clean it. Raised edges by screen and camera (protection) even with screen protector. Works with wireless charging and mag safe accessories. Buttons are made of the same silicone as the case. Slightly darker in colour to more easily find them. Pressing the buttons they are somewhat clicky but not as clicky as with the leather case which has aluminium buttons. Precise cut outs for the mic, speaker and lighting. Different compared to some of the previous silicone cases from Apple. Now closed bottom instead of open. Had the case on my iPhone 13 for almost 3 weeks, still look like new as I would expect! Longer-term durability is to be seen. But I would not be worried. The layer of silicone adds a thin layer of impact protection. Key to remember these cases are not meant to protect against high drops, more meant to protect from day-to-day scuffs and wear. Are there any downsides?There’s only one price. Coming in at $49, these cases are not cheap. What you get with the Silicone cases from Apple is a case that is well made, fits the phone perfectly, comes in a range of colours, has some nice features, MagSafe, microfibre interior and really is an easy option and easy recommendation.

I absolutely *adore* Apple's 'Midnight'-colored silicon *and* deluxe leather cases.
I like the way the silicon case conveys the actual Apple phone's 'Midnight' color (blueish hue) while the deluxe leather case doesn't quite capture that bluish-hue as well, if at all. On the other hand, that deluxe leather case brings class and a nicer, higher quality feel in the hand. Excellent video, Dion!

I have got Cellular line case. Texture is like apple cases I dropped my iphone 13 many times , it protects so well. It has got many colours and they have magsafe

Hi Ziyad, in my experience there is little difference, also because the silicon case has cut outs for the sounds. In general silicon is sound absorbing material, so that might explain the little difference you hear.
Does this case pick up a lot of dust and dirt?

@@colethomas8551 I ended up getting the iPhone 13 red and I got the black silicone case I’ve only had it a month but it’s held up pretty good. The case, it’s a pretty minimal case so if you’re hard on your phones and you drop your phone once in a while I don’t think this would be a very good case it doesn’t Add a lot of protection. If you work in an office it’s a really good case doesn’t it much bolt to the phone at all so and that aspect it’s a really good one.

The thing with apple’s silicone case is that it picks up a lot of dust which is just plain annoying.
Yeah, it's pretty much unusable for me because of that.
I like the silicone case is better for the first 2 months but it doesn’t really last. After that 2 months and 3 light drops later the silicone starts to peel away. The leather case on the other hand gets better over time with its patina. All in all i normally get both cases each year just because i like to switch cases over the year

@@pginarmy8620right? I feel like cases just ruin the feel of the phone, screen protectors distort the screen as well. Apple spends a lot of time perfecting the product only for the consumer to wrap it in garbage and mess up the feel of the phone.
anyone know how well apples cases do in terms of not picking up dirt/lint from pockets? had a couple off amazon before (not from apple) and they all got really dirty quite quickly.

@DionMedia, is this case black or very dark navy blue? or a black with a blue hue? I mistakenly bought a "black" apple watch when reality it was called "Midnight" and it was a very very dark navy blue.

I used 3rd party Silicone cases, and it always catch dust on the case itself, its quite annoying, hopefully thats not the case with this

How is the case grippiness overall? When sliding in and out of pockets is it easy or does it pull the insides out? Also is this a proper dust magnet?
Yes for both the questions. The case is overtly grippy which makes it difficult to slide it inside the pockets. Also it is a big dust magnate.

I always get a lighter color case bc the black silicone cases end up looking like a dryer lint trap after a few weeks of use 😂

Midnight case is turning yellow near the charging port area and back after one month of usage… i can clearly see the colour difference
I wish they made those cases cheaper, the price of the iPhone is already high enough, and now going to buy a really expensive case like that really seems too much.

I have the iPhone 13 pro max in white 128gb and did an unboxing video on my channel! Absolutely love this phone. I also did a Spigen clear glitter case unboxing and try on, this is a great case if anyone is wanting a clear but slimming case for the 13 pro max. Love this phone.
When I first bought mine I thought it was way too slippery, but after a couple of weeks it’s become less slippery….
The apple silicone cases are good in the beginning until they start to peel on the corners. The clear case is good but super slippery

Hi, this can happen on occasion, but if it never shows up (and I am sorry to say this) you might have been sold a forgery. I hope I am wrong of course, but these things do happen

silicon cases are good for few months. it becomes horribly annoying when the surface becomes too sticky to the fabric. Its a pain the ass taking the phone out of the pocket

The case starts to deteriorate after half a year
50$-60$ dollars! For literally a piece of plastic! With a apple 🍏 logo ! Absolutely No ! I just got a different brand case ! Stronger material! Beautiful design! Witch is the big event! This case is garbage it doesn’t protect your phone and if you ding it on something or drop it on the ground it’ll take a chunk out of it. DO NOT BUY this if you’re looking for something that will protect your phone from damages.
